Up for sale is a 2007 Ford Escape XLT FWD with the hard to find, fuel efficient 2.3L 4 cylinder engine. This is a one owner vehicle with LOW mileage! It is very well equipped with all the creature comforts like keyless entry, power drivers seat, power windows, mirrors, locks, etc., foglights, the works! This Escape was owned and meticulously dealer maintained by a mature and responsible family. It has had recent repairs performed at the Ford dealership before being purchased from the owner including: brake pads, brake rotors, flex pipe, alternator, A/C clutch, battery, and has almost new tires! This Escape would make an excellent first vehicle, family vehicle, work vehicle, you name it! Very roomy, reliable and fuel efficient. The trunk has a ton of cargo space! If you'd like, you can also fold the rear seats to make even more room! I had just had the rear passenger window regulator repaired as well. The original rear passenger window wouldn't always go up and down, but was replaced with a brand new regulator from Ford! This is an excellent turn key vehicle for anyone that wants SUV space and functionality without paying SUV prices at the pump! This vehicle has had NO accidents, and has a spotless vehicle history report included in the ad! Being that this is a now 7 year old used vehicle however, there are minor imperfections from regular wear and driver usage. The very worst of it is some minor rock chips around the driver side, rear fender that have began to oxidize (not noticeable from a distance). Besides that, this Escape looks excellent for its age! I will be more than happy to answer any further questions regarding the Escape. I have also attached the original vehicle sticker in the pictures, as well as the CBB value of a 2007 Ford Escape XLT.

Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.

Ford Mustang hit by Moore' Oklahoma's EF5 tornado lives to do another burnout

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

Oklahoma recently saw the destructive power of an EF5 tornado, but in the aftermath of the devastation, we've also been witness to the incredible resilience of the human spirit. Moore, OK resident Jack Haden survived the storm but found that his 2003 Ford Mustang wasn't quite as lucky. As you can see in the image above, the tornado's 200+ mph winds did quite a number on the car, but while most people would have likely called their insurance company and scrapped the car, Haden had other plans.
After finding the car and seeing that its V6 still fired up, Haden spent a couple hours getting the car, um... roadworthy(?)... by removing the doors and front clip, cutting off the roof and putting on some new wheels and tires. He noticed that driving it around brought some comic relief to an area that needed a reason to laugh and smile. Check out the KSBI TV news report video below showing before and after pictures of the tough 'Stang, as well as a video showing the newly lightweight coupe doing a smoky burnout.

Ford offering emergency strobes on Super Duty trucks [w/video]

Tue, Apr 28 2015

If you're driving a Ford Super Duty, chances are you've got a job to do. It could be construction or maintenance, or it could be something big you're hauling, but either way, you may need to warn others in the vicinity that you're on the job. Which is why Ford is now offering strobe warning lights on its F-Series Super Duty trucks. The $700 option includes a pair of amber LED strobe lights on the hood (by the base of the windshield), another pair at the back on either side of the high-mounted stop light, and a trim panel with four switches on the center stack inside. The equipment can be factory-installed or dealer-installed after sale, are covered by warranty, require no drilling for installation (to reduce risk of corrosion), are programmable in different patterns and can be seen from up to a mile away at night or a thousand feet during the day. See a demonstration in the video below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
