1981 Delorean Dmc-12 on 2040-cars
Grosse Pointe, Michigan, United States
This has a 5-speed manual transmission. Low mileage, only has 19,364 actual miles. Overall the car is in nice shape for its age.
The seats have been recovered under previous ownership with aftermarket covers. The dash and binnacle unfortunately
have the cracks that so many of these have. Fortunately they both are readily available and can be replaced. The
doors, hood and louvers all stay open and close with ease. All gas shocks have been replace this year with Stabilis
gas shocks.
Work that has been performed in the last several years.....
All compartment Gas Shocks (as stated above)
Clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder and booster replaced and fluid bled with new.
Clutch fluid line replaced with Stainless Braided line.
All brake pistons, seals and flex lines replaced with Stainless lines. Calipers cleaned and system bled with new
fluid

Coolant hoses replaced
All Engine belts replaced
Timing Chain aligned and injectors cleaned

The car starts, runs and drives. We have driven the car around town, but recommend going through the car and
servicing it before driving regularly. Could probably benefit from adjustments/tune-up. The bumpers have
chips/spider cracks (in paint only, they are structurally in good shape). Louvers are faded and have a little
corrosion. The front part of the frame behind front tires has rust-repairable but the rest of the frame is solid.
There is a little oil leaking around the axle flanges which is very common for these cars.

2015 Ford Expedition
Mon, 21 Jul 2014While the tide of bigger-is-better SUVs has been in recession since, well, the recession, fullsize utes are still very much with us. Conservative creatures that have been loathe to evolve, fullsize SUVs nonetheless remain enduringly popular among large families, livery customers, and anyone with lots of friends, relatives, and toys to tug around. With respect to Toyota and Nissan, the only players that really matter in the segment are the new-for-2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, the GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, and this truck: the Ford Expedition, the latest evolution of which we just drove for the first time at a press preview in West Virginia.
Unlike the General Motors utilities, the standard Expedition and the long-wheelbase Expedition EL are not all-new, but rather are heavily refreshed versions of the same basic truck Ford started selling way back in 2007. The front fascia is where most of the exterior update happens for 2015, with a new three-bar grille design, halogen projector headlamps, and new bumper design with available LED foglamps. Despite all the new bits, the facelift breaks exactly zero ground in terms of design; in fact, it already looks dated, and will only look older once the macho 2015 F-150 bows later this year. Even less has changed out back, where the tailgate gets a wide chrome band spanning the taillamps and a new chrome exhaust tip. Other exterior changes are generally limited to colors and an all-new wheel lineup that includes a gleaming set of six-spoke 22-inch polished wheels on high-end models.
Speaking of high-end models, a new Platinum trim is positioned above the cowboy-spec King Ranch model for 2015. Both the Platinum and King Ranch get their own color combos and exterior trim finishes (satin metal for the Platinum, chrome everywhere and ginormous badges for the King Ranch) and posh, leather-lined interiors with their own aesthetic. The Expedition family also now includes a price-leading XL model, as well as XLT and Limited grades.
Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
