2009 Ford Edge Sel 4 Dr 4 Wheel Drive Very Low Mileage on 2040-cars
New York, New York, United States
|
Extremely low mileage. This vehicle has less than 10,000 miles. One owner, one driver, always garaged, serviced at dealer. Literally owned by a little old lady (My mom) She does not drive and we no longer have use for the vehicle.
It was hit in the rear (standing still) and needs some slight bumper work. We have insurance estimate of $1,199.00. Most of that is labor costs. Other than that only slight dings on handle and rear view mirrors from careless garage attendants. All shown in pictures. Inside in immaculate condition. This car is like new. Has many years of life left. Panoramic-style Vista Roof and Ford's Sync system, voice-activated interface for Bluetooth hands-free calling and access to personal media players, including iPods. Red Fire Metallic Outside, with black leather inside. 2009 Ford Edge Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) Options 4-Wheel Drive AM/FM In-dash CD Changer Air Conditioning Alarm System Aluminum/Alloy Wheels Anti-lock Brakes Auto Headlamp Control Automatic Dimming Mirror Bodyside Cladding Bucket Seats Center Console Chrome Grille Cruise Control Dual Airbags Floor Mats Fog Lights Halogen Headlights Head Airbags Illuminated Visor Mirrors Intermittent Wipers Keyless Entry Keypad Keyless Entry System Leather Steering Wheel Lighted Entry System MP3 Player Power Brakes Power Door Locks Power drivers Seat Power Mirrors Power Steering Power Windows Privacy Glass Rear Spoiler Rear Window Defroster Rear Window Wiper/Washer Reverse Sensing System Side Airbags Sirius Satellite Radio Split Folding Rear Seat Stability Cntrl Suspensn Strg Wheel Radio Control Tachometer Theft Deterrent System Tilt & Telescopic Steer Tinted Glass Traction Control System Trip Computer |

Lincoln MKC will be renamed the Corsair in 2021, probably
Mon, Jun 18 2018Lincoln will be renaming its MKC crossover, calling it the Corsair instead. Automotive News is reporting that the recently trademarked, yet storied Ford model name Corsair will be affixed on the 2021 model year crossover. The report says Ford has already told its U.S. dealers about the name at an Orlando meeting last month. Ford has a long history with the Corsair nameplate in the States and abroad: Most recently, it has been in use in Australia in the early 1990s, in the UK in the 1960s, and before that Ford offered an Edsel Corsair in the late 1950s. Even if an Edsel connection might not be the best possible thing for a Ford product, let alone a Lincoln, it might serve the crossover well as Ford moves to ditch the MK naming convention it's used for Lincoln for the past decade. Still, the manufacturer is said to have cautioned dealers it might opt out of using the Corsair name before production time. At the same meeting, Ford reportedly showed the next-generation Escape, the Explorer, a battery electric crossover dubbed the Mach 1, a yet-unnamed small SUV (which might be the Bronco) , and a new Lincoln Continental complete with suicide doors. The MKC will still receive a refresh for next year, retaining its letters-name for a couple of years before the bigger redesign for 2021. Currently, the MKC is the strongest-selling Lincoln product in China, and it brings in numerous new Lincoln customers there. In the U.S. it's outsold by the MKX crossover and is neck-and-neck with the MKZ sedan.
Ford Australia launches Falcon GT F 351, last of its line [w/video]
Sun, 15 Jun 2014It's always best to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, and Ford Performance Vehicles is doing just that in Australia with the Falcon GT F 351. It's the most powerful road car the Aussie performance brand has ever made with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 471 horsepower (351 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet of torque. It's joined by the FPV Pursuit Ute with the same powerplant tuned to 422 hp and 402 lb-ft. Sadly, the last F in this Falcon's name stands for Final.
The GT F 351 is a monumental way to go out, though. It harkens back to the old days of Aussie muscle Fords, and the 351kw output is meant to reference the classic Falcon GT and its 351-cubic-inch V8. In addition to the massive power, the F has the improved suspension from the R-Spec model and Brembo brake calipers.
FPV is building just 500 GT F sedans for Australia and 50 more for New Zealand, plus 120 Pursuit Utes. They feature a blacked-out hood and black stripes over the hood and sides, plus gloss black accents around the headlights, door handles and mirrors.
EU formally questions French government assistance of Peugeot's finance arm
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Recently, the finance arm of PSA/Peugeot-Citroën was in such debt trouble that it was pricing itself out of the car loan market. The rates it was paying to service its debt, which was rated one step above junk, were so high that it was forced to charge car-buying customers higher rates than they could find elsewhere. This was adding to Peugeot's already impressive woes by sending revenue out the door to competitors.
Two months ago a deal was worked out with the French government whereby the state would provide 7 billion euro ($9 billion USD) in bonds to guarantee the finance arm's loans. The French government could nominate someone to join the Peugeot board, Peugeot would guarantee more French jobs, and on top of that deal, other banks would provide non-guaranteed loans. The government would take no equity stake in the car company.
Although not yet finalized, the arrangement is meant to create some breathing room for Peugeot Finance to lower its interest rates for customers, and a government-nominated board member, Louis Gallois, was recently named to Peugeot's supervisory board. The arrangement was also openly questioned by at least three competitors: Ford, Renault - which is 15-percent owned by the French government after it received state aid - and the German state of Lower Saxony, itself a 15-percent shareholder in Volkswagen.
