I have a 1998 Ford E250 camper type van. Extended length. Perfect for tailgating partys, camping, just running around town with the kids, going to ball games etc. It is automatic transmission, power steering, van air conditioning works great, tires only a couple years old, better than 50% tread left. Engine does not burn any oil or make any funny noises. Has all new coils and spark plugs. Recent brakes, tie rod ends and shocks. The roof air works great for camping, has a refrigerator, tv and vcr that I have never tried out. There are two really large beds, with room to walk between them, new mattress, raise up the bed and lots of storage under them. All new carpet on the walls and floor, still smells new, non smoker. It has the extended roof so you can stand up in it, running boards etc. The previous owner had it repainted and it is still all shiny and nice. The only things that it needs are the electric door locks don't work, though the key locks all work fine, the odometer quit so we don't know the total miles but over 10 years is exempt anyway. I would like to keep the trailer hitch and the electric brake controller and of course the trailer does not go with it, just the van for sale. We drive this thing everywhere, I have kept it in top mechanical shape and would not hesitate to go anywhere in the country with it today. All the engine, brakes, tires, transmission, lights etc. work as they should. AC blows cold, heat, cruise control, etc all work fine. Recent air conditioner compressor. Has just had the oil changed. It is NOT a brand new $60,000.00 van so be realistic. You are more than welcome and in fact encouraged to come test drive it, have a mechanic look it over etc. It is licensed and insured and can be driven anytime. We still are using it every day. The reason the trailer is hooked up is we are taking it out of state this weekend unless it sells first.

2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility dominates Michigan State Police testing
Thu, Oct 4 2018The Michigan State Police has released its preliminary findings from testing the 2019 crop of police vehicles, and the results are a bit surprising. The consistent top performer of the bunch was the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility, better known to civilians as the Ford Explorer. Specifically, the top performer was the model with the new turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. The Michigan State Police conducts acceleration, top speed, braking and lap time tests of all the available police vehicles. The 3.0-liter Police Interceptor Utility was the fastest to 60 mph at 5.77 seconds, had the highest top speed of 150 mph, and the best average lap time of 1:36.47. The lap time was particularly impressive as it was just over half a second faster than the next quickest car, the all-wheel-drive V8 Charger. View 13 Photos Still, the 2019 Dodge Charger gave the Explorer a serious run for its money. The all-wheel-drive V8 Charger was only 0.1 seconds behind the Explorer to 60 mph with a time of 5.87 seconds, and the rear-drive version was third quickest at 6.15 seconds. Both V8 Chargers were only 1 mph off of the Explorer's top speed, and the V6 example was third fastest at 141 mph. We already mentioned the all-wheel-drive V8 Charger was half a second off the Explorer's lap time, and the rear-drive variant was just over 1 second behind, giving it the third fastest average time. Dodge also took home braking bragging rights. The V6 Charger won out with a distance of 126.9 feet, followed by the rear-drive V8 Charger with 128 feet, and the V6 Durango Pursuit stopping at 128.8 feet. Now of course where there are winners, there are also losers. The slowest accelerating police car was the Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan, better known as the Fusion Hybrid, with a time of 9.24 seconds. At 8.59 seconds was the V6 Dodge Durango, and the V8 Chevy Tahoe with four-wheel-drive was third slowest at 7.98 seconds. Lowest top speed was 106 mph with the Ford F-150 Police Responder with the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6, followed by the V6 and V8 Durangos with 117- and 118-mph top speeds respectively. In braking, the Chevy Tahoes performed the worst with the rear-drive version stopping at 145.7 feet and the four-wheel-drive version stopping at 142.5 feet. The F-150 followed with 141.9 feet. When it came to lap times, the Fusion Hybrid lapped the slowest with a time of 1:46.31. The V6 Durango was about a second faster with a time of 1:45.45.
China's woes sandbag Detroit automakers
Sun, Jul 19 2015Through the first six months of this year, China's auto market is actually up 8.4 percent from the same period in 2014. Still, automakers aren't optimistic after June's 3.2 percent dip in year-over-year sales. Last month marked the first drop in China since February 2013, and the decline could extend through the coming months, which is a concern according to a number of analysts. In Detroit, General Motors might take the brunt of the damage, but Ford could feel some heat too. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is already responding to the June dip by predicting annual sales to grow only three percent this year, rather than seven percent that had been predicted earlier in the year, according to The Detroit News. Ford and GM will both release their second quarter earnings before the end of July, and those figures will give the industry a much better idea about the automakers' performance in China. Due to China's massive growth, both Ford and GM have made significant investments there. In 2014, GM announced $14 billion to make the country a focal point, including a goal of 5 million annual sales. Ford, for its part, opened 88 new Chinese dealers in one day alone last year. It has also been working to grow Lincoln since the brand's launch in 2014.The Detroit News took a much deeper look into Detroit's exposure in China, with the overall gist being that we're all uncertain about how things are going to shake out. Some industry analysts feel this is just a temporary blip, while other are much more worried. If you have any interest in the auto market there or its affect on the Big Three, the piece is well worth a read. 2024 Porsche Panamera; Rivian's surprise; Cadillac electrifies V | Autoblog Podcast #823
Fri, Mar 15 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They start off discussing a couple of vehicles they've both driven — the 2024 Ford Maverick Tremor and the 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge 2WD. From there, they pivot to Byron's first drive of the 2024 Porsche Panamera, and then from there it's on to more electrified luxury in the form of the new Cadillac Lyriq. After that, it's on to news. Rivian made a big splash last week. Not to be upstaged, Cadillac decided to get in on the action by teasing an electric V model, the Opulent Velocity Concept. After that, it's time for a future classic; this week, it's the Dodge Magnum. They end the episode by spending listener Isaiah's money on some used stick-shift transportation. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
