Quigley 4-wheel drive factory conversion van with 3 1/2 " of lift.  Unfinished cargo area (it does have the stock rubber floor mat and headliner in the cargo area), excellent condition.  Standard body length. This van was manufactured with a heavy-duty tow package.  It has the 4:10 gear ratio rear end.

6.0L PowerStroke diesel engine, with numerous upgrades, including: ERG delete kit, oil cooler upgrade, fuel injectors upgrade, head milled with new studs and head gasket, SCT Tuner Programmer making this engine BULLET PROOF:  It will probably go another 500,000 miles (please see receipts for engine upgrades and recent repairs).  141,000 current mileage on this van.  New tires with approx. 3000 miles on them.  CompuStar remote start, Bluetooth antenna. Barn-door style side and rear doors, with windows.  Cruise control, A/C, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, power mirrors, and 6-way power driver's seat.  Excellent condition, undercarriage is very clean, very little rust for a vehicle this age.  Only one small defect: a small dent in the body, high up on the left back panel, left of the left back door, about even with the window (please see pictures #2 and #8).  More pictures available on request.  I'll also be happy to talk to you on the phone if you send me your number.                                                 Location:  Poplar, MT.                      Price: $29,875. OBO.

PLEASE NOTE:  This van is also for sale locally.  I reserve the right to end this auction early if there are no bids and the van sells locally.                         I may be able to assist with delivering the van to the buyer.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE:  Don't pay too much attention to the AutoCheck score; it's unreasonably low because of the number of owners and the mileage on the van.  This van is lightly used and with the upgrades to the diesel engine (and regular maintenance) it will easily go another 500,000 miles.  Two of the owners (including myself) only kept it for a few months.  Also, there is no lien on the van, I own it free and clear.  There are no defects in the title, either, it is clear (please see picture); nor is there a duplicate title.  I'll be happy to converse with you about the van if you send me your telephone number.  Thanks much.

Daily Driver: 2015 Ford Flex

Mon, Mar 16 2015

The Ford Flex has been around. It's not T-Rex or even Model T old, but still; it's been hauling people and stuff since 2008 without a major redesign. That's quite a long time in the car world. Sales have been sliding the last couple of years, and the Flex is now considered a niche player in the crossover-centric US auto market. But that doesn't mean it's still not a pretty good vehicle for its purpose: If you need to haul people and stuff, there are few better choices. Some even think it's a guilty pleasure. I spent a winter afternoon tooling around suburban Detroit in a handsomely equipped Flex Limited. We're talking the 3.5-liter EcoBoosted V6 with 365 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Inside, there were big comfy seats, lots of leather, acres of storage space and even a built-in refrigerator. The drive ended up being surprisingly fun. If there's such a thing as a hot-rod minivan, this is it. I also got noticed. The Flex's boxy design has aged well. It's still polarizing, but there aren't many contemporary vehicles that look like a Flex. So if you've ever seen a Flex on the road, and thought: "Man, that thing is big. I wonder what it's like to drive that?" Now's your chance to find out.

Ford could post best-ever profits in Q1 2013

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Analysts are saying that Ford Motor Company may have earned a record $2.7 billion pretax profit in North America during the first quarter of 2013, a number that represents its highest first quarter profit ever. The impressive earnings are further proof that the American automaker is making a solid comeback as the economy begins to recover.
Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase are estimating that Ford's first quarter North American profit may have topped 12 percent. The firm cited the automaker's fresh lineup, but noted that CEO Alan Mulally needs to uphold the pace as the company works to gain ground in the car and utility segments.
Ford's success has been led by increased demand for its F-Series pickup, the best-selling vehicle in the US for 31 years, and by the Fusion sedan that recently recorded its best-ever quarterly sales in the domestic market. Ford is expected to release its first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, of this week.
