It just doesn't get driven. Time for somebody else to enjoy it. This is a well taken care of van, that has sat inside a heated garage most of it's life. It has one large issue. The clear coat is coming off on the fiberglass hi-top, and fiberglass running boards. It is very obvious on the hi-top. Those areas need repainted, which is what will happen if it doesn't sell here. This is your chance to get a deal. The rest of the paint is in good shape, with a few minor dings and scratches. There is one small crack on the drivers side running board. The interior is in really good shape, with the only notable wear on the bottom of the drivers seat wear you slide your butt across to get in. The drive train is great, and has never had an issue. I just put in a new battery in this spring. The tires have about 30-40% tread remaining. They are ok, but i would replace them before winter."

This is a great van which we just don't use any more.  So it is time to send it down the road and let someone else enjoy it.

It is in great mechanical condition, the interior is in great condition, the paint has some issues.  You can fix it or just drive it.  Which is what we have been doing.

This thing is a cruiser.  All top grade leather.  Front and rear air and heat.  Power folding rear bench.  Tons of storage.  Upgraded carpet.  20 inch flat screen.  DVD player.  It works but occasionally can be temperamental.  For that reason I am including a brand new in the box Clarion DVD player.  There is also a separate CD stereo in the rear.  Upfront there is a 6 disc in dash cd changer.    Two sets of wireless headphones.  Cool mood lighting.  Power windows and locks.  Power drivers seat.  Full gauges.  Nice window shades.

The van sports a 5.4 liter motor with an automatic overdrive tranny.  it has plenty of power.  It runs, drves, and shifts as it should.  It has a tow package.  I have pulled our 24 ft pontoon boat with it.  It handled it easily.

Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.

Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.
