1997 Ford E-Series Club Wagon Van *NO RESERVE* Original 31,875 MILES!!!! Seats 12 People! Looks, Rides, and Drives Like a 31k Mile Vehicle Should. The Engine is a 5.4L Triton V8 that is very strong, No ticks, No Knocks, No Rattles, No Engine Lights, No Exhaust Leaks. The Transmission is an Automatic with overdrive which shifts fantastic. The Suspension is great, brakes stops on a dime, and the TIRES ARE BRAND NEW!! (including the spare) The Exterior of the vehicle is magnificent for the year. It is virtually rust free (the hinges get a little surface rust when not oiled) but the rocker panels, and all other body panels are super clean. There is a dent in the front bumper and on the corner of the fender by the bumper, as shown in the pictures. The interior and seats are also in great shape. The driver's seat and the far back seat have a very small tear, which is also pictured. The seats are very easy to remove when they aren't needed. All of the Doors, Door Locks, and Windows work great. Please remember this is a used van and may have slight blemishes. I have driven the vehicle many times and went over it thoroughly to give you a honest description. You can really tell this van was very well taken care of and rarely driven. Please feel free to ask questions if you have them. You can message thru ebay or call 815-282-2277. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. It is being sold as is with no warranty. You are more than welcome to come see & drive the vehicle if you live close enough. The miles may vary slightly due to test drives. Illinois residents will have to pay tax, title, and license upon purchase of this vehicle. Thanks for Looking and HAPPY BIDDING. |

Ford Escort returns... as a concept
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Ford is kickin' it old school at the Shanghai Motor Show for 2013 with a new Escort Concept - "a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design" as we said in our initial preview of the small C-segment sedan. Or, as Ford puts it, "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious." Potato, potahto...
It's an interesting amalgam of design notes with Ford's recent and stylish hexagonal grille up front, flanked by some pretty busy LED light clusters and chrome-trimmed air intakes at the lower extremities of the fascia, but the Escort Concept is not altogether unattractive. Besides its external appearance, we really don't have much information to report - Ford has not yet hinted at what may be powering this little machine, but we'd expect something with four cylinders and less that 2.0 liters of displacement sending a modest number of horses to the front tires.
It probably goes without saying, but we don't expect to see this Escort make its way to the United States, since we already have the Focus and the Fiesta battling it out in the econobox segment. That said, it's very likely to spawn a production model that will roll out here in China and in other developing market where multiple C-segment entries are becoming increasingly common. Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
