2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, Unmarked, 26k One Of A Kind!!! on 2040-cars
West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States
You are viewing a very low-mileage, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the coveted "Street Appearance Package". It just came out of service with the United States Federal Government, in Pennsylvania, where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life...and with only 26,498 actual, documented miles. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car. The finish is excellent and this vehicle has an a Clean Carfax and AutoCheck report. It has never been involved in any accidents. It is in excellent condition. This unit has never had decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has no holes drilled anywhere and has never been in regular police service. This unit is loaded with options, including all of the things you would expect...power heated mirrors, power windows, power locks, power trunk release, noise suppression bond straps, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, 8-way power driver's seat, cloth front and rear seats, and a 3.55 ratio rear differential w/Traction-Lok (limited-slip) rear differential (code Z5) and electronic traction control (it is VERY rare to find both of these options together on the same car!). Plus many more options. In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has zero wear on the seating, carpet, etc. The rear seat appears to have never been used. The trunk compartment is like new, extremely clean, and the full size spare tire, jack and instructions are in place. This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, 3.55 ratio rear axle w/ Traction-Lok differential, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, 2-way radio pre-wire, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more. For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine. All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance. Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find. This is a factory, all White car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere. This unit is in absolutely gorgeous condition overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little to none of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used vehicle. This vehicle, as most used vehicles do, may have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, minute small dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives as close to new as we have ever seen. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles. Winning bidder agrees to pay deposit immediately of $500. Balance within 72 hours at end of auction via cashier's check, money order or certified funds. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. Less then 5 feedback must contact me before bidding. Customers with zero or negative feedback on eBay Motors please contact us prior to bidding. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your bid. We reserve the right to cancel bids and/or our auction at anytime for any reason. All used vehicles are sold "as-is" and without warranty. The tag/document fee is $192.00 or $215.00 if a lien needs to be recorded on the title. PA recently raised the cost of title and tag work, which is why the fees are higher. The tax and tag fees can be paid directly to us at the time of vehicle pickup. We can make other arrangements for payment if the car is being shipped. For all other states, the fee is $130.00. This fee covers a 30 day temp tag and the cost on our end for documents. You pay the sales tax directly to your state when you register the car. If you have any questions about the process please feel free to email and I will explain further. |

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
GM, Ford, Honda winners in 'Car Wars' study as industry growth continues
Wed, May 11 2016General Motors' plans to aggressively refresh its product lineup will pay off in the next four years with strong market share and sales, according to an influential report released Tuesday. Ford, Honda, and FCA are all poised to show similar gains as the auto industry is expected to remain healthy through the rest of the decade. The Bank of America Merrill Lynch study, called Car Wars, analyzes automakers' future product plans for the next four model years. By 2020, 88 percent of GM's sales will come from newly launched products, which puts it slightly ahead of Ford's 86-percent estimate. Honda (85 percent) and FCA (84 percent) follow. The industry average is 81 percent. Toyota checks in just below the industry average at 79 percent, with Nissan trailing at 76 percent. Car Wars' premise is: automakers that continually launch new products are in a better position to grow sales and market share, while companies that roll out lightly updated models are vulnerable to shifting consumer tastes. Though Detroit and Honda grade out well in the study, many major automakers are clumped together, which means large market-share swings are less likely in the coming years. Bank of America Merrill Lynch predicts the industry will top out with 20 million sales in 2018 and then taper off, perhaps as much as 30 percent by 2026. Not surprisingly, trucks, sport utility vehicles and crossovers will be the key battlefield in the next few years, Car Wars says. FCA will launch a critical salvo in 2018 with a new Ram 1500, followed by new generations of the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra in 2019, and then Ford's F-150 for 2020, according to the study. Bank of America Merrill Lynch analyst John Murphy said the GM trucks could be pulled ahead even earlier to 2018, prompting Ford to respond. "This focus on crossovers and trucks is a great thing for the industry," Murphy said. Cars Wars looks at Korean (76 percent replacement rate) and European companies more vaguely (70 percent), but argues their slower product cadence and lineups with fewer trucks puts them in weaker positions than their competitors through 2020.
