2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan K9 4-door With Lights & Sirens on 2040-cars
Peotone, Illinois, United States
Up for sale is this 2008 Ford Police Interceptor with only 42,739 miles on it. This is a super clean vehicle that is already set up with a lot of extras. We are a local Ford dealership based out of Peotone, IL. We took in a total of 3 units in trade from a local municipality. Please check out our other auctions if you are looking for more than one vehicle. The lights and sirens are fully functional on this vehicle. I took the pictures with the lights on so that it was easier to see their placement. With the flash patterns it is impossible to photograph with everything lit up. This vehicle is equipped with Federal Signal First and Third Generation LEDs. The siren is made by Smart Sirens. The vehicle is equipped with a Charge Guard system. This system cuts power to the components an hour after the ignition is turned off. The K9 equipment is manufactured by Ray Allen. This vehicle has heat sensors for the dog, remote door actuator for the back passenger door, etc. The Police Chief of the municipality that traded this vehicle in informed us that the K9 equipment was installed new this year and cost around $6,000-7,000 to upfit. We do have the original back seat for this vehicle as well. This vehicle is equipped with a Safety Vision camera.
If you have specific questions on the vehicle, please contact Denis Corradino directly at 815-531-7520 or send me a message through eBay. If you would like to come see the vehicle in person, we are located in Peotone, IL. We are Terry's Ford. If you are planning on coming out, please make an appointment to ensure the vehicle is here since it is also for sale locally and being shown to local municipalities. Because this vehicle is set up with lights and sirens, the vehicle is not for sale to the general public. You must have proper credentials to buy this vehicle. |

Detroit Three autoworkers could get huge bonuses
Mon, 06 Jan 2014For a long time, being a line worker for one of the Detroit Three has meant living with an uncertain future. With the health of American automakers on the rise, though, things are also starting to look up for the men and women building the cars. The latest sign that things aren't bad? Big profit-sharing checks.
According to The Detroit News, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler could end up paying over $800 million to 130,000 workers as part of a profit-sharing plan. According to The News, the economic impact of these profits in Michigan alone could exceed $400 million, besting the NFL's Super Bowl, MLB's All-Star Game and the NHL's Winter Classic for their economic impact.
This is the third straight year the Detroit Three have issued profit-sharing checks to UAW employees, and for many workers, the checks are as close as they'll get to a raise, due to the most recent contract between the union and the manufacturers. On average, employees at GM and Ford receive $1 for every $1 million in North American (not just the US) pre-tax profits. Chrysler, meanwhile, gets a similar deal, although the Auburn Hills-based company calculates profit sharing using 85 percent of the brand's global profits.
Ford recalls 422,000 SUVs for rear view camera display that may fail
Thu, May 18 2023WASHINGTON — Ford is recalling 422,000 sport utility vehicles in the U.S. because the video output may fail, preventing the rear view camera image from displaying. The recall covers 2020 through 2023 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair SUVs with a 360-degree camera. The recall expands and replaces prior Ford callbacks for the same issue in 2021 and 2023. Ford last year updated the image processing module (IPMB) software in an effort to address the issue. Ford said on Thursday it is "working together with suppliers to identify root cause and provide the correct remedy as quickly as possible". The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the loss of the rear view camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 26. Last year, Ford said it had reports of 17 minor crashes relating to the recall issue and more than 2,100 warranty reports but no reports of injuries. The NHTSA in August 2021 opened an investigation after Ford in 2020 recalled 620,246 vehicles for another rear camera issue. The investigation is reviewing if Ford had recalled the vehicles in a timely fashion and if it recalled enough vehicles. Recalls Ford Lincoln Crossover SUV
Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion
Thu, 30 Oct 2014After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.
