Clean one owner vehicle history report. We have the vehicle history report on file and will forward it to you upon request. This vehicle was owned by the U.S government Department of Homeland Security here in El Paso, Texas. It has spent it's life in El Paso. It's never been driven on salted roads. NO RUST. The seats are black cloth in the front and black vinyl in the rear. The floor is black vinyl. The interior is in good shape. The power windows, power locks, traction control, tilt wheel, power side view mirrors, power trunk release, heated rear glass, and AM FM stereo all work as they should. This car has the limited slip Trac-Lok rear end. The 4.6 litre 250 horsepower police interceptor engine has awsome power and starts and runs great. The automatic transmission shifts crisp and smooth. The brakes have been inspected and are in good shape. The suspension is good and the car handles very well. The tires are in decent shape. The body is in good shape with only minor nicks and scratches. We had this car inspected for structural damage and found none. We welcome independent inspections and will do what we can to help. NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
