NO RESERVE!!! I must be crazy!? My commute to work has changed and therefore my beloved Interceptor must go. If you are looking for a CLEAN, NON POLICE USED or NON ABUSED Police Interceptor. Look no further. I promise that this will be the cleanest, mildly modified police interceptor in the country. You will not be disappointed. The car has true dual exhaust with a custom built cat back Rinehart Racing louvered chamber system, and 45 degree turn downs just before the rear axle. Mr. Rinehart is my boss, and while he may only working in aftermarket motorcycles now a days, he has over 30 years of NASCAR, INDY, NHRA years of experience in performance exhaust and he personally aided me in designing the cat back exhaust for this car. It is truly a one of a kind, and only 1 of 1 in the world. It sounds aggressive and demands attention. However, the tone is mild, depending on how much throttle you give her. The Nexen tires and Cobra R wheels are literally brand new with only 6,000 miles on them. I have the original steel wheels with center caps that come with the car as well. The interior of the car is immaculate. The exterior of the vehicle is near perfect. It is a used car after all, and there are as expected small paint chips. I recently had them professionally touched up so you do not notice them, unless you look for them. The car was just professionally detailed inside and out!!! I took pictures in the sun and shade so that you could how good of a mirror finish the paint has. Let it be known that I am a former certified mechanic and now make my living as an engineer. I am extremely anal about the maintenance of my vehicles. The are routinely washed, waxed and serviced by Ford's recommended maintenance. If anything needed fixed, it was done. EVERYTHING works as it should. A/C, heat, power windows, power locks, cruise control, intermittent wipers, radio, interior and exterior lights, power driver seat, lumbar, horn, parking brake, rear defrost, power truck release, etc... everything works. I looked for this car for 5 months. I wanted the cleanest police interceptor I could find. I am the third owner. The car started its life has a State owned vehicle used as a tag vehicle for wide loads on the highway. So no drilled holes in the bumper, dash or for light bars found in police cars. Better yet, all highway. No city driving or abusive chase accelerations. And rest assured, even though I modified the car slightly, I babied it. I just enjoy upgrading parts on my vehicles. It's a past time for me. When I purchased the car, all catalytic converters had just been replaced. During my ownership I replaced the tensioner pulley, 1 O2 sensor, and had the computer re-calibrated by Ford to the latest Police Interceptor tune. NC approved tint which is 35%. I have all receipts. I also have a CLEAN and CLEAR CARFAX and Auto Check for your review. If you're near, come look at the car, and I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Please feel free to call if you have any questions. I will happily take more pictures, videos, etc. Just ask!!! But please, don't be rude. No calls or texts after 8 pm. Thank you. Walk around and start up video here!!! > http://youtu.be/zZ20BhXCMMk Regards, Matthew 330 715 5877 |

Ford to cease Australian automaking operations after 90 years
Thu, 23 May 2013Ford began manufacturing cars in Australia in 1925 with the Model T. In 2016, Ford will stop manufacturing cars Down Under, including the Falcon and the Territory SUV. Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano has reportedly confirmed the closure of the company's Broadmeadows assembly plant and the Geelong engine plant, both in the state of Victoria. There will be 650 jobs lost at Broadmeadows, 510 sacrificed at Geelong. Of the roughly 3,000 workers the Blue Oval has in Australia, it's said it will try to retain about 1,000 of them at its R&D and product development facilities.
The writing hasn't just been on the wall, it's been a regular item in all the papers and on Ford's bottom line for years. As recently as 2003, Ford sold nearly 75,000 Falcons, but over the next four years, annual sales dropped by something like 10,000 units, and over the last two years, it has sold less than 20,000 per year. It isn't only Ford that has suffered - sales of the other large, locally produced sedan, the Holden Commodore, have also gone over the precipice, triggering the same kind of angst about Holden's continued existence. Ford is the smallest of Australia's local automakers, Holden and Toyota the others, and has posted losses of $AUD141 million last year ($136M US) and $AUD600 million ($580M US) in the past five years. Graziano said the cost of manufacturing is simply too expensive in the country, twice as high as Europe and three times as high as Asia, and there no way to make a business case for staying in the country.
In January 2012, Ford Australia announced it would stay in the country until at least 2016, but by July of the same year, most outside observers were quietly declaring that 2016 would be the last year of Ford Down Under, and even the speculation was making other observers nervous. Ford received money from the Victorian government last year to aid its refresh of the Falcon and Territory, which will continue on schedule for the 2014 model year. A front- and all-wheel-drive sedan on a global platform is predicted to replace the Falcon, with some other SUV expected to replace the Territory. The company says it still intends to expand its lineup in the country.
2022 Detroit Auto Show Editors' Picks
Fri, Sep 16 2022As tends to be the case in this post-ish-pandemic world of auto shows, the North American International Auto Show was a strange one. It was at least mostly indoors and thus not at the mercy of Mother Nature. And unlike that first Chicago Show following the initial pandemic shutdown, this one was all assembled before the media arrived. Even with a much thinner show floor, the Detroit Auto Show still gave us a number of noteworthy reveals. Now, full disclosure, the rules for our Detroit picks were made a little more flexible, since some of these vehicles were revealed a little before the week of the show. But we still focused on vehicles that were making their show debut, and were actually present on the floor. Sadly, that means we had to leave out the Jeep Recon and Wagoneer S electric SUV concepts. Odds are, those would've made it into our list of the top five if they had actually been on display. Now, on to the winners. 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 4xe View 18 Photos 5. 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 4xe This was an easy one. While there's nothing so remarkable about the Willys that it makes this package a must-buy, it's nice to see another model available with the 4xe powertrain. Just one question, though: Where was the Recon? – Byron Hurd Chevrolet Blazer EV View 7 Photos 4. 2024 Chevy Blazer EV As a fan of the K5 and S-10 Blazer generations, I was a bit bemused when the current-gen crossover came out ... until I drove it and realized how good it actually is. Now that there's a Blazer EV incoming, I feel like I can become a true fan again. And there's a lot for fans to appreciate: FWD, RWD and AWD versions, and even a 557-horsepower SS variant. In a lineup of practical, Ultium-based Chevy utes, it's good to see an attainable product that enthusiasts can get behind — along the lines of Ford with its Mustang Mach-E — while we wait for an electric Corvette. — Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder 2023 Chrysler 300C View 28 Photos 3. 2023 Chrysler 300C In a poignant press conference with the Spirit of Detroit statue in the background, Chrysler sent its flagship 300 out properly with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8. Stellantis design chief Ralph Gilles articulated the car's successes — its many awards and sterling reviews from its early days — and the cover came off with a veritable 300C hot rod on display. One more time, the 300 is at full strength. To be clear, this isn't the 300S with an available 5.7-liter.
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs. midsize crossovers and SUVs: How they compare on paper
Fri, Mar 30 2018In a world full of SUVs and crossovers all competing for similar buyers in similar segments, there are still some models that find their own little niches that lack such fevered fighting. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of those vehicles. It's an oddball in the sense that it's a midsize crossover SUV with a unibody chassis and independent suspension, but it still uses rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive systems and has some off-road capability. It's also a midsize crossover, but only offers two rows of seats. Despite the Grand Cherokee's odd nature, we did come up with a few crossovers and a classic SUV that seem to match the Jeep in size and pricing. We looked at the numbers to compare them on paper. You can find the raw data in the chart below and deeper analysis after that. As always, this is just a comparison of specifications and you'll want to check out our driving impressions of each car if you're getting serious about one or all of these vehicles. And if you want to compare any of these against other vehicles, be sure to check out our comparison tool. Engines and Drivetrains When comparing base engines, the Jeep Grand Cherokee's 295-horsepower is the clear power winner, beating the next most powerful 4Runner by 25. But in torque, the 4Runner takes the laurels with 278 pound-feet, narrowly edging out the Edge's (no pun intended) turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder's 275. That four-cylinder in the Edge will also be picking up another 5 horsepower for 2019, but it still won't win this power contest. Both Ford and Jeep also have another advantage in the fact that you don't have to settle for the base powertrain. Ford has two other engine options, a naturally aspirated V6 and a twin-turbocharged V6, the latter of which outguns the Grand Cherokee's gasoline V6 in both power and torque. That engine will also be bumped up to an impressive 335 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. View 20 Photos The Jeep has the most engine options, though, and it's the only to offer V8 and diesel options. On most Grand Cherokees, the options include a 5.7-liter V8, which is only available with 4WD. It makes 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, outperforming even the 2019 Edge's twin-turbo V6. The diesel engine doesn't make much power with just 240, but it makes up for it with torque at 420 pound-feet. And of course there are the SRT and SRT Trackhawk models with even bigger and supercharged V8 engines respectively.
