You are looking at a unique 2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71. I am the first owner. It has never been in an accident. Clear title in hand. This was government issued and was originally a Supervisor's car from the Department of Environmental Protection Services (DEP), so it was never abused and it is been very well taken care of. 2004's and up are the best kinds because of the marauder air intake making it faster. This car is in mint condition inside and out. Don't be fooled with the miles, it drives like it has 60,000 miles. There is absolutely no problems with this car i promise you or your money back. Everything is 100% functional. Its been fully inspected and scanned by many mechanics. I put new cat converters and one of them has a very small airleak, it does nothing wrong or bad, it is too small to notice it, i just have good ears and you will get used to it. Engine compartment is very clean. This car has all new fresh fluids and oil changed every 3000 miles. Tires have 70% to 90% thread left, almost like new. Brakes are great and responsive with no squeaking. This car runs strong and smooth. It is very comfortable to drive and its very roomy with a huge trunk. A spare tire and 2 Ford jack stands are in the trunk included. All lights turn on and work, even the spotlight. It comes with the original Ford Key and extra replica key.

Interior: It has factory original carpet flooring which is very rare on a P71 and original carpet floor mats. It has a factory CD player radio. I put a  AUX connected to the factory radio too. There is a Premium Center Console. There is no rips or stains anywhere on the seats. It is very clean. Working Factory Dome Light. There are small bright amber and clear led bar lights installed only on the rear back window included. It is 100% legal and safety thing to have. It has a factory installed police security foot sensor feature as well to start the car. All windows work and all doors close and open. AC Blows cold and heater works as well.

Exterior: The paint is a beautiful rare dark midnight gray, it has few minor scratches on the body but not even noticeable. It has been waxed several times, the paint looks glossy and healthy. I don't think it has been ever repainted, it has a solid color on all openings. I got new 17" inch police wheels with OEM police hubcaps installed on the car to give it an 06 plus look. I installed a Go Rhino (5038) Push Bumper. It comes with a factory installed police spotlight that works. I put dark window visor rain guards. It has 5% privacy limo tint on all windows except the windshield, the windshield has very light shade of 50% on it. It has two Laird Technologies antenna for WIFI or GPS or cellular use that can be connected. It has strobe lights on the front and back that are disconnected. Ill include the thin blue license plate on the front. The car is in MINT condition.

Obviously, I am not including the TomTom GPS or Sunpass you see in my car. I guarantee you'll be happy with this purchase. I am no rush to sell this car.
Reasonable offers are accepted, I am selling this because I want a new Chevy Impala. I tried my best to explain everything. Any questions please feel free to ask me. If interested text me (561)-531-9618 with your best offer.

Ken Block proves the new Ford Focus RS can handle that Gymkhana thing

Wed, Feb 4 2015

Oh Ford, you've already done a lot for us today, introducing the bound-for-America Focus RS and all. But then you go ahead and add onto this day of good news by handing a prototype of the new all-wheel-drive rocket to drift maestro Ken Block and capture it all on video. Block does his usual, slipping and sliding and drifting the over-315-horsepower hot hatchback through Ford's Cologne, Germany factory, before making a final and surprising appearance at the unveiling of the new RS to European media. It's all as entertaining as it sounds, and gives us plenty of chances to hear the 2.3-liter EcoBoost at full bellow. Related Video:

Ford files patent for 11-speed transmission

Sat, Apr 11 2015

The automatic transmission seemed limited to three or four gears for decades, and then the automotive world slowly started to see more ratios becoming available. Today, seven-, eight- or nine-speed gearboxes have become rather common. Ford even has an automatic with 10 gears on the way for the future F-150 Raptor. The Blue Oval might not be done yet, though, because the company also now has a patent on an 11-speed box. The filing, which was discovered by AutoGuide, says this idea "produces eleven forward speed ratios and one reverse speed ratio by selective engagement of three shift elements in various combinations," and the company outlines three different ways of making this possible. The advantage of adding one more ratio is that the gearbox should be able to keep the revs in the ideal portion of the engine's torque curve even longer. Obviously, automakers patent ideas constantly, and applying for one is no guarantee that the tech ever arrives on the market. Conversely, these documents provide a tiny glimpse at one of the brand's focuses of development. If you're mechanically minded or just curious, you can read the entire application here for the technical nitty-gritty.

Ford, Volvo, Google, Uber and Lyft form self-driving alliance

Tue, Apr 26 2016

Five companies arguably leading the worldwide effort to develop autonomous cars said Tuesday they're forming an organization to lobby the federal government to better prepare America's roads for self-driving technology. The founding members include some of the biggest companies in the automotive, autonomous, and ride-sharing realms – Ford, Google, Lyft, Uber and Volvo. Operating as the "Self-Driving Coalition for Safer Streets," they aim to work with lawmakers and regulators to clarify a disparate set of rules and regulations at both the state and federal levels that could hinder the deployment of autonomous cars. "The U.S. risks losing its leading position due to the lack of federal guidelines for the testing and certification of autonomous vehicles." – Hakan Samuelsson David Strickland, a former administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration who issued the first set of autonomous-related policies in that role (pictured below), will serve as the group's counsel and spokesperson. "The best path for this innovation is to have one clear set of federal standards, and the Coalition will work with policymakers to find the right solutions that will facilitate the deployment of self-driving vehicles," he said in a written statement. In January, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said his department would accelerate efforts to craft such federal standards. Those efforts include holding two public hearings on standards, the second of which is scheduled to be held Wednesday in Palo Alto, California. Foxx signaled the intent to deliver them by June. Google has been leading the efforts to ensure such standards are national in scope, warning their cars could run afoul of state-specific laws should they cross state borders or if standards varies between the federal efforts and regional ones. The complexity of such efforts was underscored recently, when NHTSA agreed that Google's software could be considered the driver of a vehicle for the purpose of meeting federal motor vehicle standards, an interpretation that would conflict with preliminary California rules that mandate a licensed driver operate a self-driving car that comes equipped with human controls like a steering wheel and brakes. At South By Southwest last month, Jennifer Haroon, Google's self-driving car business leader, said the company couldn't accomplish its goals under those regulations.
