LOW RESERVE 1971 FORD BRONCO SPORT

The truck was painted and restored in 2004 and has been mostly garage kept since.  The restoration was not a perfect or complete restoration, the body work is not perfect, and the paint is not perfect.  It was designed to be a driver for nice days and for the beach.  I drive the truck with historic tags.  It starts every time and drivetrain is very strong.
The bronco is actually a combination of two different trucks. The chassis is a 1975 and the body is a 1972. The 1975 chassis and drivertrain has only ~40,000 miles on it but the body required significant rust repair so it was swapped with a more solid 1972 body. The chassis was sanded and painted with POR15 and shows very minimal rust. The body has had several panels replaced. The door posts and jams are rusted and would need to be replaced to put original Bronco doors on it.  The truck already has the door inserts, so if you require a top a soft top and soft doors would probably be best.
The truck runs very strong.  The brakes need to be adjusted and it would need taillight repair to make it a nice beach/ nice weather vehicle.  I would consider it a good daily driver at the beach or during nice weather if the truck had its brakes tuned, the steering linkage stabilizer bushings replaced,  and taillight/blinker repair; which, is work that should be pretty minor.

Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.

Ford spills SEMA all over its Expeditions

Sat, 01 Nov 2014

If you're going to this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, it's going to be tough to miss the Ford booth, simply for its size. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen customized examples of the 2015 Mustang and a quintet of modded Transits. The latest announced addition is a trio of upgraded 2015 Expeditions showing different takes on the recently refreshed SUV.
Any vehicle tuned by Dub Magazine needs to ride on massive wheels, and the Expedition (pictured above) that it has for SEMA is no exception. The SUV has 26-inch Dropstars wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires, and, making them look even larger, the suspension is also lowered. The rest of the custom has some mild upgrades like mesh grilles in front, tinted windows, an integrated radar detector and new upholstery inside.
Tijn wants to boost the performance of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 for its take on the Expedition. The company claims to add 40 horsepower to bring total output to a claimed 405 by upgrading the engine with a charge cooler from Vortech Engineering, a custom side exhaust and a custom tune. To match the extra grunt, the SUV also gets bigger brakes, an Air Lift suspension and 24-inch, copper-colored wheels with custom fender flares.
