Here is my Ford Bronco that I must sell.  Cash only sale, no checks no money orders no paypal, cash only purchase.

I have the two missing pieces of trim. I broke the tabs on them and have ordered new ones. They will be back on when you pick it up with factory style clips. No accidents for this truck, all the metal is original to it. Drove it from Arizona in 2013, never seen salt/snow, no rust ever.. Repainted in the factory original chamois metallic ppg paint 2 stage with clearcoat. I posted photos of it in shade - looks a deep metallic brown, in the sun a awesome metallic orangish tone. This is the factory original color it was originally painted. I dont remember them looking this good though and i never expected it to be like this...i expected doodoo brown metallic and fell for this color after seeing it as a serious favorite for another bronco when i can buy another or even bythis one back. And this is no hack paint job. All prepped right, sealer, primer, 4 base coats, 6 color coats, 2 clear. all ppg and by a professional restoration specialist in a $80k paint booth that usually paints duesenbergs and rolls royces..., not a paint and body collision shop busting out toyotas and minivans. no rust repair on it done.  It has not been wet sanded at buffed at all. This is how it left the booth. It is not flawless - but dang nice as you can see in the photos. It was done to last 20 years not peal and flake off in 2.  There are some dings in the hood from hail, i could not get them to show in the photos and some dings that I prefered not to be filled with bondo to cover them up. Its all metal here but i dont want to you to be surprised by anything though.  Rebuilt 351. Starts runs and drives good, no leaks or smoke. Edelbrock intake and Holly carb. Rebuilt c6 shifts fine and firm. manual 4x4 208 t-case & hubs, trailer special, 9" axle. Sorry no reciepts for the rebuilds. Poly front bushings, flow master exhaust.   Has Trailer Special package, ready to pull anything. restored 70s Detroit Vintage Wheels Western Wheels Cyclone II and brand new 31" kevlar lined goodyear duratracs. I restore these wheels for the trucks I preserve like this Bronco. I had not yet got to the interior. I had planned on replacing the regulator on the driver side - it is sticking, replacing the climate control unit, it seems to be not working right, redoing or replacing the front seats (not bad but not what i wanted), hooking up the front KC daylighters and the rear floods (the toggles were removed to re wire them all). The radio is in-op and a old pos anyway, and i was going to replace the door seals, they are pretty old and not the best sealing as with most old broncos. These are not anything that would inpead driving it home any distance. I drove it 2200 miles just as it is. It drives good - could use an alighment in time. Brakes good but the pedal is dropping low - back shoes or master is going out. The fronts are newer.  Thats all i can think of at the moment. Please ask any questions.  I have to relocate for work and cannot take it with me. Sux, its a awesome truck. have over 13k invested and I know I will never get near it back out and i never planned on selling it. But i am relocating for work and here it is. I would discount the final price and put the steel wheels with goodyear wranglers on back on it that were on it when i bought it. just plain ford steel wheels with 31" good goodyears on them if you are not a fan of these period correct turbines that would have been put on it when it was new.

Cash sale please. If you want to arrange to have it shipped, you need to send me a bank to bank money transfer, no paypal, no checks, no money orders, or UPS me the cash and have your driver pick it up.

Auction ends on Tuesday at 7:50pm EST, its NO RESERVE...so dont forget and email me after bidding ends to buy it if the winning bidder does not go through with it. And please do not bid if you do not have the funds to pay for it within 7 days after the listing ends.

On Apr-29-14 at 17:26:52 PDT, seller added the following information:

2015 Ford Edge holds line on pricing, starts at $28,100*

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

The Ford Edge gets an updated platform, bolder styling and a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine pumping out 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque for the 2015 model year. You might expect that all those new features would result in a big price bump, but you'd be wrong. Ford is keeping costs identical to the 2014 model with a starting MSRP of $28,100 (*plus an $895 destination charge), according to Edmunds. Ford spokesperson William Mattiace confirmed the numbers to Autoblog.
That's a pretty good deal, but the real ticket here might be the model's Sport trim. Buyers get a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with over 300 horsepower and standard adaptive steering for $28,600 plus destination. That's just $500 more than the base model.
Pricing for the Titanium trim has not yet been announced, but it'll be a short wait to find out. Mattiace tells Autoblog that full pricing and the configuration for the model will launch on November 5. He has also confirmed that the 2015 Edge will begin hitting dealers in the first quarter of 2015.

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024

Tue, Jan 23 2024

What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.    Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.

2016 Ford Explorer First Drive [w/video]

Mon, May 18 2015

I was still young and impressionable when Jurassic Park hit the big screen, and that movie forever imprinted the Ford Explorer in my mind. You remember the scene, but I'll describe it anyway: It's dark, raining and there's no power. The off-screen footsteps of a tyrannosaurus send shockwaves through the standing water in a plastic cup and the rain-soaked muddy roads. Seconds later, the toothy end of the movie's biggest predator crushes through the roof of a highligher-green-and-yellow Ford Explorer, causing all manner of mayhem to the SUV's occupants inside. It's not lost on me that the Ford Explorer used in the movie is, in reality, a dinosaur itself. When the seminal Explorer hit the scene in 1991 it was based on the guts of the Ranger pickup truck, which was no spring chicken itself. Ford's first real foray into the then-burgeoning SUV marketplace was meant to compete against vehicles like the Jeep Cherokee and Chevy Blazer, along with Japanese models such as the Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota 4Runner. In those early days, none of these vehicles were sold based on the merits of their car-like ride and handling or superior fuel economy. Nowadays, the discerning car shopper wants the looks of an off-road-ready SUV, but the inherent compromises and need for any serious rock-crawling capability faded away years ago. The current Ford Explorer is a prime example of this successful visual hypocrisy, with its SUV-like styling listed as the number-one reason for buying on customer surveys. SUV-like styling is one thing, SUV-like guts are another. In 2011 the Explorer went from its traditional truck-based chassis to Ford's D4 platform, based loosely on the Taurus and shared with the Flex. As with the rest of the unibody crossover world, that means the current Explorer offers an excellent ride, the higher seating position that buyers want, and a useful third row for growing families. None of that inherent family-car goodness goes away for 2016. With class-leading sales already in the bag, Ford hopes its latest Explorer will attract new buyers due to the availability of a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine and an upper-crust Platinum trim level. Based on some time sitting inside and inspecting the high-content Platinum model (albeit without a drive in this trim level) I believe Ford's claim that this is most luxurious vehicle ever to wear a Blue Oval. Only not all its ovals inside are blue.
