Professionally put together 1993 Ford Bronco that is sporting one ton running gear and a 1996 Powerstroke Diesel engine as a power plant with a brand new clutch. Hooked to the powerstroke is the ZX5 5 speed transmission mated to a married 1356 transfer case. The Bronco has the legendary Dana 60 front and Ford 10.25" rear end. The powerstroke is out of a 1996 F350 that had around 128,000 original miles. The miles showing on the odometer is the exact miles of the engine/tranny/transfer case as that is the diesel cluster from the F350 so all the RPM readings are right. It was very important for this build to be done right and look stock and I have to say that the attention to detail shows. The engine has a cold air intake and the upgraded 3 inch down pipe so it could breathe. The Bronco has the TS 6 position chip that functions perfect. This Bronco runs! You can keep your eye on your turbo boost and exhaust temps with digital pillar gauges.
The one ton is sitting on a suspension lift that is done right. The springs were reworked by Boise Spring Works to stop axle wrap from the torque of the diesel. All details for reliability were thought about and addressed. The tires are like new 37X17 Toyo MT's mounted to aluminum directional mags. Of course it is 8 lug wheel pattern. The front locking hubs work flawlessly. There is a brand new 38 gallon fuel tank that was installed during the diesel swap. The Bronco tracks smooth and straight. There is absolutely no drivability issues with this thing at all! The transmission and transfer case shift as new. The body is very straight with no rust. The hood has the famous clear coat peel that these years are known for but the rest of the paint is clean.
The interior is very nice with one wear tear from getting into the vehicle over the years. The air conditioning blows ice cold and the heater will cook you out. Looking at the dash you will think you are in a mid 90s F-series diesel pickup. There is a brand new windshield installed and all glass is good. The rear window goes up and down as it should. There is a good sounding Am/FM/CD player in the dash. The lucky buyer of this Bronco will get in and go wherever they want with absolute confidence of reliability. Needs nothing but an owner to drive it.
The lucky winner will need to place $500.00 down through Paypal or wire transfer within 24 hrs of close. The rest can be wired or a certified check sent with clearing complete prior to pickup. The vehicle is about 1.5 hours north of Boise Idaho. We can meet you at the airport for delivery if needed. I can deliver the Bronco and fees would have to be determined by location. If you need to use a credit card or Paypal, you are responsible for any charges incurred by me. There are countless hours of time and money invested in this Bronco so that it was done correct, my reserve is well below what is in it and what it is worth. Bid with confidence and you are welcome to come see it before closing as there are no hidden surprises or defects in this one! Good luck.

Ford Escort Concept goes back to basics
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Here's the thing about China: The folks buying cars there have a very different set of standards than shoppers in many other markets around the globe. While we all drool over hot metal with bold designs, and while we appreciate automakers going an extra step to inject even their cheapest offerings with aggressive and interesting cues, that sort of sheetmetal sex appeal doesn't always sell in the People's Republic. Case in point is Jaguar, which may be designing a more traditional-looking version of its XJ for the Chinese market, or more to the point of this story, Ford currently sells the less-exciting, last-generation Focus compact in China right alongside the new one.
So consider this new Shanghai-bound C-segment concept a preview of what's to come for that more traditional, budget-minded, less-sexy market. More proof of this pudding: Ford's even calling this concept the Escort - a nod to the Blue Oval's compact car days of yore, and a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design. "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious," Ford states. And this new Escort concept previews a possibility of providing exactly that for this rapidly expanding automotive market.
What you're looking at, then, is one of the most simple Ford designs we've seen of late, though it still incorporates all of the automaker's latest DNA. The signature hexagonal grille is front and center, flanked by attractive LED headlamps and chrome-rimmed foglamp housings. The entire car's design focuses on clean, smooth surfaces, with one strong character line flowing from front to back just below the beltline. We will say that the car looks decidedly more premium from the rear view, where narrow, horizontal taillamps with an LED accent give the car added visual width. Bland as it may be, it's a handsome little concept, though fear what would likely happen if all of the conceptual details get dumbed down for a production model.
Will Ford's SUV blitz include the Bronco?
Sat, Feb 13 2016Ford announced this week it will add four sport-utility vehicles in the next four years, an ambitious bet on a segment the industry once shunned. This led to wild speculation about what form these utes will take. Here's what we know: They will be new nameplates, and Ford is thinking globally. That means at least one might not be a product with US intent. They will also be in segments where the company does not currently compete, Ford said. The Blue Oval isn't specifying exactly what's it's doing, so here are some of our theories. We think one will be called the Bronco, which is great news for enthusiasts. We hope it follows the Mustang playbook with some heritage styling, but a thoroughly modern execution. Ford needs an off-road Jeep Wrangler-fighter. Fuel prices are low and it's been 22 years since the infamous O.J. Simpson white Bronco chase. This is the best chance Ford will ever have to bring back this iconic name. Our man on the ground at the Chicago Auto show, Sebastian Blanco, reported that Ford sales and marketing vice president Mark LaNeve said a "mini utility" will also be one of the utes. This could be primarily an overseas play. We've also seen lots of spy shots of the EcoSport, a small crossover that Ford sells in India and other overseas markets, being tested on American roads. That is an existing nameplate. Maybe Ford adds a small ute related to the EcoSport in the United States, but calls it something else. We think Lincoln gets a three-row SUV out of the deal. It could slot between the MKX, which was new last year, and the Navigator. Lincoln is leaving money on the table by not being in this segment. The platform could be used for a Ford at some point, too. The Blue Oval brand does actually have a tweener three-row vehicle, the Flex, but this chassis might underpin a replacement. Or maybe Ford makes one of these a hybrid. The company laid out ambitious plans in December to ramp up its electrification strategy, something that could mean a dedicated hybrid SUV (Kia unveiled one of those right after LaNeve's speech in Chicago). It's also possible hybrid technology will be integrated into this new portfolio. The Escape used to have a hybrid sibling. Whatever form they ultimately take, Ford is betting heavily on SUVs. The company thinks they are what Baby Boomers and Millenials want and expects the segment will continue to grow. It's important to note: this will be a diversified strategy.
STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM
Fri, 16 Oct 2009Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
