ALUMINIZED EXHAUST WITH DUAL PIPES AND A STAINLESS MAGNAFLOW MUFFLER FROM THE EXHAUST HEADERS BACK TO THE NEW
STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST TIPS. WE JUST GOT GOING AND DIDN’T QUIT UNTIL WE HAD WORKED ON THE ENTIRE BRONCO WITH NEW
PARTS AND FINISHES. EVEN THE TAILGATE HARDWARE WAS BLASTED, ETCH PRIMED AND PAINTED PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY. BOTH THE
FACTORY LICENSE PLATE LIGHT AND THE RELOCATED SWING AWAY LIGHT WORK AND HAVE NEW BULBS ETC.
THE SOFT TOP WENT ON FIRST AND AFTER A FITTING AND PHOTO SHOOT WE REMOVED IT AND REINSTALLED THE FRESH HARD TOP.

DRIVING A PLEASURE. WITH ALL NEW DRIVETRAIN AND SUSPENSION THE BRONK SHOULD FUNCTION WELL FOR MANY MANY YEARS TO
COME! POWER IS MORE THAN ADEQUATE AND THE ENGINE AND CARB ARE VERY RESPONSIVE. WITH ALL THE LINER, INSULATION, AND
CARPET THE BRONCO IS EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET COMPARED TO MOST. WE INSTALLED NEW FLIP UP WIPER BLADES AND ARMS WITH THE
NEW TINTED WINDSHIELD. THE FLOOR IS COMPLETELY DRY UNDER THE BRONCO BUT WE HAVE ONLY PUT A FEW MINUTES ON THE
DRIVETRAIN. WE EXPECT A FULL 50 MILE ROAD TEST TO BE COMPLETED BY 11-10-15 WEATHER PERMITTING. (WHY MAKE EVERYTHNG

Ford promises 12 new global performance vehicles through 2020

Ford just keeps rolling out the big announcements today. We've already told you about the next-gen Focus RS coming to the US and the upcoming Sync 3 infotainment system. And this latest one should perk up the ears of racing fans or anyone who enjoys an enthusiastic drive (basically, all Autoblog readers). The Blue Oval says it has "more than 12" new performance vehicles on the way globally through 2020. Unfortunately, the only one that the automaker confirms at the moment is the Focus RS, but recent rumors might suggest a few others. Ford reportedly has the Shelby Mustang GT350R, next-gen F-150 Raptor and a Ford GT successor all on the way, all of which could possibly debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The future GT might even take the company back to racing at Le Mans. Speaking of motorsports, Ford is also blending its performance vehicle and racing efforts worldwide into a unified entity by combining SVT, Team RS and Ford Racing into a new organization called Ford Performance. It's responsible not just for excelling on the track but also for developing aero improvements, electronics, powertrain and lightweight tech for the Blue Oval's vehicles. "Our new global Ford Performance team ties together racing, performance vehicles and parts. It will allow us to more quickly introduce products and accessories that meet the needs of customers around the world on-road and on the track," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development, in the company's press release. The automaker thinks this market might be booming, especially among younger buyers. For example, recent data shows Millennials buy ST models at twice the rate of the rest of Ford's cars. Next Ford Mustang to drop 400 pounds

The Ford Mustang is already the lightest of the current crop of muscle cars, at around 3,600 pounds for a GT coupe with the six-speed manual transmission. That's almost 260 pounds less than a Chevrolet Camaro SS and about 450 pounds less than a Dodge Challenger R/T, which means the Mustang has a pretty big advantage when it comes to handling, braking, accelerating and economy. More good news: The next Mustang will be even lighter.
According to a report from Edmunds, the sixth-generation Mustang, which is set to debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, will shed an additional 400 pounds of body fat. That 11-percent weight reduction will be thanks to lightweight materials, with a particular focus on using stronger, but less material in construction. Aluminum will feature heavily, but Edmunds' inside source warns that there is "nothing terribly exotic" coming to the original pony car.
The other big news is that the new Mustang will be smaller overall. It's going to be 15-inches shorter than the 188.5-inch Mustang on sale today, while it'll also be 6.5 inches narrower. Shorter overhangs, both in the front and rear, are also good signs for those that want an agile Mustang.
