1959 Fiat Bianchina 500 Auto Bianchi
Transformable Parts Offered here is a Bianchina 500 microcar for parts
or project. Auto-Bianchi built the Bianchina based around a
Fiat 500 chassis.  The Bianchina used the same Fiat 500 running gear with
the 497cc air cooled twin 2-cylinder engine.   4-speed gearbox.  This Bianchina is mostly complete and would be
great for parts or a fun custom project.   The car has rusty floors
and rust in some of the body.   There has been tree damage done to
the passenger side roof and passenger door section.   So it's a good
parts car, but, It could be made into a convertible?  Electric?
Volkswagon power? or custom project. Please take a good look at the photos and you can
see all the trim, switches, front seat frames, rear seat cushions and assorted
goodies that are there. I also have parts I will include that are not shown
in the photos, such as, Transaxle, Top bows, Seat upholstery (for
patterns), Horn button, Original matching number engine (dis-assembled, may not
be complete or have all usable parts but I know the nice original crankcase
assembly with matching numbers to the body tag is in nice usable condition.
The lower end crankcase is all assembled and looks good.  The cylinders,
pistons, head ??? not so sure of condition, but new replacements for these
parts are available.  I should have all the cooling tin, splash pans,
generator and that sort of stuff.)   Please remember this car is not 100%
complete, but pretty close.  There is some small missing parts, including
mechanical, fasteners and trim stuff.     Windshield and passenger door glass were broken
from the tree damage and I do not have replacements for these but the
windshield aluminum trim is there and can be seen in the photo sitting on the
back seat.   All 5 tires are old, rotted and flat, includes spare
tire.   Bianchina comes with clear California
title (pink slip) in my name, with matching numbers to chassis and engine,
car does not have current registration. A little history on this 59 Bianchina:
My dad purchased this Bianchina in the early 1960s for my mom when they were
dating.   I rode around in the back of this car when I was
little.   My dad installed the shift knob, radio, and tinted visors,
and current tires when he owned it 50 years ago.   My folks sold the
Bianchina to a local fellow here in town.   He used the car for a few
years then parked it out behind his home in the weeds for the next 17 years
where it acquired most of its rust after the top failed.   I
purchased the Bianchina from him in the early 1980s, gave it a spray can paint
job, and used the car here and there over the next few years.   It
suffered the tree damage about 10 years ago while being stored up at my parents
house.    I am selling this 1959 Bianchina as-is for parts.  It
will include signed title and bill of sale.  Full payment due within
2-days of end of auction.   Payment can be made via Paypal.   Buyer to arrange and pay for all
shipping, transporting and handling of this vehicle.   Vehicle needs
to be removed within 7-days of end of auction unless other arraingments have
been made with me, and everything must be removed at same time.  Thanks so much for bidding on this neat little microcar. |

North America profit helps Fiat Chrysler limit its losses from coronavirus
Fri, Jul 31 2020MILAN Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) posted a smaller-than-expected operating loss in the second quarter, as a small profit in North America helped to limit the damage wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic. FCA said on Friday it had an adjusted loss before interest and tax of 928 million euros ($1.1 billion) in April-June, versus a forecast 1.87 billion euro ($2.2 billion) loss in an analyst poll compiled by Reuters. The group also said it made adjusted earnings before interest and tax of 39 million euros ($46.2 million) in North America, the home market of its Jeep and Ram brands, in the quarter. Milan-listed FCA shares were up 1.2% at 1125 GMT, after being little changed before the results. Chief Executive Mike Manley said the group's plants were up and running and car dealers were selling in showrooms and online, following disruptions caused by the pandemic. "We have the flexibility and financial strength to push ahead with our plans," he said in a statement. FCA, which is set to tie-up with Peugeot maker PSA to create Stellantis, the world's fourth largest carmaker, said on ongoing probe launched by European Commission competition authorities was not expected to delay the merger timetable. Despite the pandemic, PSA earlier this week delivered a profit in the first half of the year and stuck to its medium-term margin goal. FCA said its industrial free cash flow was minus 4.9 billion euros in the second quarter, with a slightly lower cash burn compared with January-March. Β

Baby Jeep to join Renegade in FCA's plan for new Italian-built models
Tue, Nov 27 2018FCA is boosting its European production, introducing new models that will be built in currently under-utilized manufacturing facilities. Among the new models is a new small Jeep, smaller than the current Renegade, as Automotive News reports. FCA's Mike Manley mentioned the entry-level Jeep model earlier this year, also saying that the vehicle is targeted to European and possibly Latin American customers; in the summer, Autocar placed the launch date in 2022. The new "baby" Jeep would be made in the same factory in Pomigliano, Italy, as the small Fiat Panda, which is a top seller in Italy. The current generation Panda was introduced in 2011; if it gets a replacement in 2022, it could possibly share a platform with the Jeep model or, the Jeep could be an eventual outright replacement for the Panda. One of Fiat's earlier core products, the Punto hatchback, was canned in August, and that production capacity will be used to make the Jeep Compass instead, at the Renegade-producing Melfi factory in southern Italy. The Compass has not previously been built in Europe. The Fiat model portfolio would be shrunk to just the 500 model family and the Panda Β the 500 would also be FCA's key electric vehicle offered in Europe. It is not yet clear whether the electric 500 would be made in Turin, Italy, or in Poland; Turin might also get a Giardiniera-badged wagon version of the refreshed 500. As for the Alfa Romeo brand, it is set to gain an even bigger SUV model than the Stelvio, based on the Maserati Levante's platform. The Levante's sales have suffered recently in China, but Maserati does have light in the horizon: The Alfieri 2+2 grand tourer is still in the cards, with a launch expected for 2020 and both a convertible and an electrified version planned to follow. The Alfieri would be made in Modena, Italy, according to Automotive News' sources. None of these plans namedrop the storied Lancia brand, which has been shrunk to just the Ypsilon hatchback, based on the same platform as the current 500 and Panda. Despite that, the Ypsilon was again the second-bestselling car in Italy after the Panda in October. It is unlikely that FCA will be able to ignore this, but it is just as unlikely that any development money will be afforded to come up with a replacement for the Ypsilon, which is as similarly old as the Panda. Perhaps official announcements expected on Thursday will also clarify what will happen to Lancia.
