Thank you for viewing and welcome to this private sale for this stunning 2000 Ferrari 456MGT.

This is one of less than 700 456 M's (Modificata or Modified) produced with the 6 speed manual transmission.  Modificata models began production in 1998 and included a new stylish front end, interior and more importantly a performance enhancement to the already very powerful V12, for a total of 442HP.  In its time this was the fastest four passenger production car on the road and with a price tag of nearly $250K, it was the ultimate in luxury sport cars too.

This particular 2 owner 456 (same owner for last 8 years) has been meticulously maintained. Having been garaged kept the original paint still shines beautifully.  In addition, it also has all the services up to date including the 15K and 30K mile service.  Most services were completed at Ferrari of Sarasota, FL (receipts included in sale).  Recently the driver window regulator was also replaced.  Both windows go up and down perfectly. In fact, All electrical components are in working order, including power seats, mirrors, radio, dash lights, exterior lights, A/C etc... Car fax report is CLEAN, NO accidents, floods, stolen recovery or millage discrepancy (report available upon request).

Also included in the sale are all the factory books and manuals with the original leather Ferrari case, all the original tools (also in leather Ferrari case), tire inflator canister and lastly the 2 factory keys and 3 fobs.

As illustrated in the photos, the exterior of the car is in excellent condition  with no major, dents, dings or scratches. The all original and entirely stitched and fully wrapped cream colored leather interior is also in excellent condition, with no major cuts, stains or scratches.  The black piping on the upholstery is not only a factory option, but gives it a beautiful and elegant contrast. The dash does have a slight imperfection over glove box, typical wear and tear from heat (see photos).

All four wheels are in great shape with absolutely no wheel scuffs.  All four wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires (the way it comes from the factory) with approximately 75% tread left.

These 456's have already hit their rock bottom price and will soon be classics. Enzo Ferrari intended for all Ferrari's to be classics and this is no exception. Especially on a front end V12! Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a V12 Ferrari before they become untouchable! Being a 6 speed manual favors its collectable value as they were rare (less than 700 cars) and the fact Ferrari does not produce manual cars anymore as of approximately 2009.

Free shipping is included only at the 'Buy It Now' price for anywhere in the Contiguous United States in a open carrier transporter (excludes anything outside the U.S. , Hawaii and Alaska)

Ecclestone against F1 cockpit protection

Sun, May 1 2016

Bernie Ecclestone has made it clear that he is not a fan of the Red Bull Aeroscreen, which was tried by Daniel Ricciardo on Friday, in Sochi. The FIA will continue to study both the Red Bull device and Ferrari's Halo, and will make a decision by July 1 about which will be added to the 2017 rules. "We're going to get a lot of pitstops now when they have to stop to clean the screen and things," he said when asked by Motorsport.com about the Aeroscreen. "That will be good." Asked if he liked the look of it or preferred the Halo, he said: "Not particularly. I don't like any of them," adding that the sport should do "nothing" with regard to cockpit protection. "I just think to try to simulate something when you've got a stationary object, and you're firing a tyre at it, when in the race when the wheel has come off normally both cars would be moving. "So how can you simulate it by having a car stationary? And how would you ever know what's going to happen with a wheel anyway? "If it hits the thing it would probably bounce off anyway. So I don't know," Ecclestone added. Quizzed on Lewis Hamilton's suggestion that danger was part of the appeal of the sport he said: "In his case I don't know whether the money made any difference as well. "We can make it more dangerous if he wants." Related Video: This story, by Adam Cooper, originally appeared on Motorsport.com, the world's leader in auto racing news, photos, and video. Nissan GT-R and Ferrari 458 Speciale in track battle by Evo

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

Supercar slayer. That's what they call the Nissan GT-R. And in many ways it is, even though its price and performance over the years have risen to put it squarely in supercar territory of its own right.
In fact, as Evo magazine has been compiling a list of its fastest cars - using the Anglesey Circuit in Wales as its common ground - the GT-R has came out on top... that is, until Evo tested the Ferrari 458 Speciale. The two are about as different as you can get within the supercar segment: one has a turbo six up front driving all four wheels in a 2+2 configuration, the other a mid-engined, rear-drive V8 two-seater. In fact the only common ground you're likely to find between them comes down to their two doors and dual-clutch transmissions. Though they serve it up in different ways, both are class-leading performers.
We're looking forward to watching Evo populate its leaderboard with more entries like the McLaren 650S and more potent Nismo GT-R, but in the meantime the British enthusiast magazine, by popular demand, has released side-by-side in-car footage of both supercars putting their best lap forward around the seaside circuit.

Hugh Jackman will play Enzo Ferrari in upcoming biopic

Fri, Mar 10 2017

Following the success of his latest film, Logan, it seems Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman already has a new gig lined up. According to Deadline, Jackman has accepted the role of Enzo Ferrari for a biopic manned by Michael Mann. Interestingly, this is the second actor with a major superhero role under his belt to be asked to play Ferrari. Christian Bale, who played Batman in the Christopher Nolan trilogy, was originally chosen for the part, but he quit when he felt he couldn't gain the necessary weight before filming began. To us, casting a famous Aussie as a man as synonymous with Italy as Pavarotti is a bit odd. But if Sean Connery, a Scottish man, can play a Russian submarine commander in Hunt for Red October, then Jackman shouldn't have much issue. Jackman won't be alone in playing the Ferrari role either. Another biopic about the racing driver and sports car builder is in the works from a different studio. That film will feature Robert De Niro as Ferrari, which seems like a match made in heaven. However, the subjects of each film are a bit different. The Jackman film focuses only on an early part of Enzo Ferrari's career, specifically the year of 1957. The de Niro flick will take a broader look at Ferrari's life from the 1940s until his death in the late '80s. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
