About This Vehicle

Brief Description:

You are looking at a very unique masterpiece of Italian car manufacturing that today is as fun and prestigious to drive as it was when first introduced in 2004. With only 359 Ferrari Challenge Stradale vehicles sold in United States this vehicle is admired and desired by many, but only a few will ever have the joy of owning one. So whether you are a collector of rare vehicles considering adding another jewel to your inventory, a "Need for Speed" kind of guy, or an investor diversifying your portfolio with an investment that is guaranteed to provide a nice ROI, this is the vehicle for you

I purchased this vehicle 2 years ago with minor damage (more details of previous damage can be found towards the last pictures) All the repairs were done to Ferrari standards and would satisfy even the most rigorous critique. Today this Ferrari looks and drives to perfection. Having a salvage title here means nothing more than getting a great value with no compromise on condition of the car.

Condition:

This Ferrari is in top shape all around. Not having any external or internal blemishes, scratches, dings or even a rock chip will make this Ferrari a perfect showcase vehicle for any private collection.

I have upgraded performance with Fab Speed exhaust and tuning package that added an extra 27 HP. The installation was done at an authorized dealer. The package and installation were about $14,000. For more information visit Fab Speed website at
http://www.fabspeed.com/ferrari-360-sport-performance-package/ The original exhaust system can be included in the sale of the vehicle.

In addition, both of the radiators were upgraded to high performance aluminum for around $3500 (parts and labor). Breaks, tires are in a great shape and were replaced less than 2000 miles ago. The whole front end is protected by a clear bra which protects it from rock chips or dings and the headlights are protected with Challenge protective yellow film. Front bumper has underneath protective OEM skid plates.

The Ferrari is to date on all the services. Timing and driving belt were replaced. All the fluids in the vehicle were flashed and replaced: break fluid, gear box oil changed, all the filters, coolant system flashed and replaced. The vehicles went through complete engine out-service and is in top mechanical shape. A 4 wheel balance and alignment was performed. All of the above listed services was done at the local authorized Lamborghini dealer less than 2K miles ago.

The vehicle comes equipped with factory spare tire kit, flat tire kit, tool kit and cover kit.

About Ferrari Challenge Stradale:

The Stradale, a steroid-injected adaptation of the already potent 360 Modena, employs direct technology and hardware transfer from Ferrari's FIA GT and Ferrari Challenge racing efforts. The result is a street-legal road racer that only 250 "preferred" North American clients can purchase at their local Ferrari dealership. The Stradale's methodology applies three basic elements of a successful race car to the standard Modena coupe package: Make it lighter; make it more powerful; and make it handle better. To further reduce the Modena's 3064-pound curb weight, comfort items, like interior carpeting, leather door panels, center console, and radio, have been removed. In their place reside ribbed rubber floor matting and a carbon-fiber console and door panels. Even the revised instruments--the tach face is retina-scorching yellow with a bright-red indicator needle--are housed within a carbon-fiber panel.

A race-bred steering wheel carries longer F1-shifter paddles to aid in orchestrating the recalibrated six-speed electrohydraulic transmission. The Stradale-spec F1 tranny now executes gear changes in just 150 milliseconds, 40 percent quicker than a standard Modena. More rigid, yet lighter-weight seats are constructed of carbon fiber and come wrapped in your choice of leather or suede/fabric. A big arrivederci to the Modena's back glass; it's been replaced with a lightweight Lexan rear windscreen with carbon-fiber supports. Carbon-fiber side mirrors pirated from Ferrari's 360 GT are standard; fixed-position Lexan side windows with small slideback openings are optional. Weight drops by a total of 242 pounds.

Although the standard Modena powerplant puts out more than 100 horsepower/ liter, there were a few more cavallini rampanti to be found. The stock 11:1 pistons were replaced with lightweight 11.2:1 slugs fit to the existing titanium con rods. A revised intake manifold boasting specially machined inlet trumpets is matched with a higher-volume air-mass meter to improve incoming airflow. The five-valve cylinder heads' intake and exhaust runners have been ported for improved flow as the engine sings at its 8500-rpm redline. A lightweight exhaust system reduces back pressure and leaves little doubt as to why the sound system was deleted: At idle, the 425-horse Stradale emits a racy rasp, and at wide-open throttle, it becomes the most wicked of wails.

Ride height has been lowered by 15 mm, thanks to shorter, 20-percent-stiffer coil springs constructed of titanium for weight saving. The rear anti-roll bar diameter has been increased by 1 mm and works with revised, driver-adjustable dampers; they're linked to a cockpit-mounted "race" mode button delivering a track-specific calibration should the CS driver use the car for weekend track events. The suspension hardware (and software) delivered a surprisingly docile ride during city driving, yet offered more manageable vehicle control on Ferrari's famed Fiorano test track. Special Pirelli PZero Corsa tires are fit to lightweight 19-inch Challenge wheels. Hiding behind those BBS rims is one of the most impressive aspects of the Stradale package: a race-ready set of 15-inch-diameter carbon-ceramic composite-material brake rotors clamped by six-piston alloy calipers. If you think these brakes look like those fit to the super-exotic Enzo, you're right. The only difference is that the Stradale uses five titanium wheel studs in place of the Enzo's spindle-mount wheel-retention method. The two-piece brake rotors not only reduce unsprung weight by 16 percent, but proved absolutely fade-free during repeated racetrack punishment.

Design cues come straight from the trackbound GT and Challenge cars. An optional center stripe, recalling the '62 GTO prototype, runs front to rear over bodywork evidencing subtle aerodynamic modifications that increase downforce by a staggering 50 percent. Other aero updates include extensions added under the front air intakes, revised side sills, and a redesigned rear underbody replete with wind-tunnel-tested longitudinal turning vanes similar to those on F1 machines. The Ferrari Challenge Stradale defines race technology for the street, and it comes wrapped in an emotional, exciting package. It's just too bad there'll be so few to go around.

Conclusion:

Overall, this Ferrari Challenge Stradale delivers unbelievable value as well as performance, looks and experience. Top cosmetic and mechanical shape coupled with upgrades makes it the best looking and well driven vehicle you can find. I live in Dallas and welcome any prepurchase inspections. The vehicle is priced to sell, please do not send low offers as I am not desperate to sell.

Send e-mails, call with questions as an opportunity to purchase this unique vehicle of this quality at such a low price does not come alone often.

With any questions feel free to contact me at dtisnoi@yahoo.com or call 817-247-8916. Serious inquiries and offers only please!

Previous damages:

Below is a picture of the vehicle clearly showing the extent of damages before the repairs. There was no damage to the vehicle other than what shown! Only OEM Ferrari parts were used in repairing this Ferrari and the work was done in a state of the art facility, specializing in repair/restoration of luxury vehicles. Front bumper and front passenger fender were repainted/replaced, and now look as original with no signs of repair of any kind. All of the repairs were done to Ferrari standards.

This vehicle was in my private collection for almost 2 years and driven over 2000 miles from the day when repairs were completed and I am very confident of its top mechanical shape and road worthiness. The vehicle is current on recommended services and needs nothing but a new home.

Autoblog Minute: UAW and FCA avoid strike, Clarkson teases new show

Fri, Oct 9 2015

FCA avoids a worker strike, a former Top Gear host teases us with a picture from Amazon's new car show, and Toyota predicts autonomous cars by 2020. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] FCA avoids a worker strike, a former Top Gear host teases us with a picture from Amazon's new car show, and Toyota predicts autonomous cars by 2020. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. A UAW strike of FCA was avoided thanks to a zero-hour tentative agreement reached this week. Worker concerns that were renegotiated in the new [00:00:30] deal include adjustments to the two-tier wage scale, health care costs, and production outsourcing. Now check-in with Autoblog as we update our reports on this evolving story. Shooting began on Amazon Prime's new automotive show starring the former Top Gear crew. That's Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. Now Clarkson threw out a tweet from day one of filming on location at Algarve Motor Park in Portugal. The picture features the show's [00:01:00] three stars and crew posing with the holy trinity of hyper cars. That's a McLaren P1, a Ferrari LaFerrari, and a Porsche 918 Spyder. This Prime show is being called Gear Knobs though the name is unofficial. Now if a tweet is any indication of what we can expect, who cares what it's called this is gonna be awesome. (Eds Note: Clarkson tweeted Friday that the show will not be called Gear Knobs.) Toyota predicts drivers could be obsolete on highways as early as 2020, with technology dubbed the Toyota Highway Teammate or THT. Toyota is using a modified [00:01:30] Lexus GS to show what this is capable of. THT is already able to create a driverless freeway car that's capable of changing lanes, making passes and taking curves. Plus, it can keep safe distances from other vehicles. Toyota is currently testing this on Tokyo's Shuto Expressway. Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to check out my full recap this Saturday. And I'll have some added insight on the BMW M4 GTS. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore. [00:02:00] Show Logo Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive. Ferrari stock falls after new CEO calls Marchionne's goals ‘aspirational’

Thu, Aug 2 2018

MILAN — Ferrari's new boss sought to reassure investors that he would execute midterm targets set by his predecessor, Sergio Marchionne, but the stock has fallen by 12.5 percent since Wednesday after he described the goals to 2022 as "aspirational." Louis Camilleri was appointed chief executive of the Italian supercar maker on July 21, succeeding Marchionne, who fell seriously ill and later died after suffering complications following surgery. The sudden change jolted investors who had expected Marchionne, who nearly tripled Ferrari's value since taking it public in 2015, to stay on as CEO and chairman until 2021. It also left Camilleri, 63, to finish scripting a midterm strategy that will be presented in September and is meant to show how the company plans to achieve financial targets unveiled earlier this year, notably a goal to double core earnings to 2 billion euros ($2.33 billion) by 2022. In a post-results conference call with analysts, Camilleri said he and Marchionne, with whom he had interacted for years, shared the same ambitions for the company. The tobacco veteran, chairman and former CEO of Philip Morris International has served on the Ferrari board since 2015, while Marchionne in turn sat on the board of PMI. Asked about how he planned to deliver on the targets set by his predecessor, Camilleri said he would provide details during capital market days to be held on Sept. 17-18 at the company's headquarters in Maranello, Italy. "They are aspirational targets. At the capital markets day, we will tell you how we plan to get there," he said. "We will also have to disclose potential risks to that, but also significant opportunities that we see going forward." Ferrari's Milan-listed shares fell after the comments, and its shares on the New York Stock Exchange fell from a Wednesday high of $134.77 to $117.99 on Thursday morning. Tough act to follow At Ferrari, Camilleri has a tough act to follow. Marchionne orchestrated Ferrari's spinoff from parent Fiat Chrysler, positioned it as a luxury icon rather than a car manufacturer, and managed to do what few thought possible: sail through a self-imposed cap of 7,000 vehicles per year without sacrificing pricing power and exclusive appeal. When its share price hit a record high of 129.90 euros in June, the company that sold just under 8,400 vehicles last year was worth around 24 billion euros, almost as much as Fiat Chrysler, which shipped 4.7 million cars.

In case you forgot, the Dubai Police supercar fleet is the coolest

Tue, Feb 10 2015

Ever wonder why the Dubai Police have a fleet of vehicles worth millions and millions and millions of dollars? Why it has a Bugatti Veyron and a Bentley Continental and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with sirens and light bars? Well, here's the reason. This video shows the fleet on display on the Emirate's roads and highways, while also reaching out to the people the police are meant to protect. It's an impressive display of machinery, to be sure. Alongside the Bentley, Bugatti and Mercedes, we spy a Ferrari FF, a Brabus G-Wagen, a BMW M6, a Nissan GT-R, an Audi R8 and a McLaren MP4-12C (although the latest Dubai Police car, the Lexus RC F, is absent). The video even has a very cinematic look and feel to it, which works well with the night scenes and the blues-and-twos of the exotics cruisers.
