2001 Ferrari 360 Spider Convertible 2-door 3.6l on 2040-cars
Ardsley, New York, United States

I am the 2nd owner of this car. I bought the car with 1500 miles on it from Wide World Ferrari in NY. The car was bought with a small scratch on the drivers seat and inside door panel as shown in the photos. The one on the door is too small to see in these photos. The car is otherwise immaculate. It has never seen rain nor snow. Never smoked in. It is always garage kept. It was only driven on perfect weather days when I went for a drive. The black rag top has absolutely zero fade. I think it might have been parked in the sun 3 times. I have the original books, keys, window sticker, car cover etc. The car has F-430 wheels & tires on it. It has been upgraded with a tubi exhaust and sport cats. I sounds amazing! I have the original wheels & tires, they only have 5kmiles on them. I have the original exhaust & cats. The belts have not been changed. This is a great car. I am selling it as I wait for the arrival of my new 458. Any questions, please email me at speedy2081@aol.com or call my cell at 914-584-8883 or text me.
Thank you, Joe C |

Father's ultra-rare Ferrari to leave family for a good cause
Wed, 24 Jul 2013It isn't every day that the rarest of Ferrari models change hands. In fact, you can count your fingers to get the number of 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T. Spyders that ever existed. The 1967 Ferrari you see here is one of those ten Spyders, and it has stayed in the same family since it was bought new.
The car was bought through Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari's US importer at the time, by the late Eddie Smith Sr., a Ferrari collector and businessman from North Carolina. Smith kept it - and kept driving it - until the day he died six years ago. Since then, this remarkable machine has been collecting dust. Smith's son, Eddie Smith Jr., spent some time with Petrolicious to give a history of the car and explain why he and his family are going to do the one thing his father never could: sell it. The catch? All of the money it earns on the auction block will be donated to charity.
"It'll be a bittersweet thing, because we know the fact that all the money is going to charities that he would approve of," Smith Jr. said about his father, and it "will really make him smile, because he loved to give back."
Ferrari 458 Challenge's door pummeled by passing Mazda
Wed, Jun 5 2019Sometimes, following the simplest rules of driving can make the biggest of differences. For example, had the driver of this Ferrari 458 Challenge racecar checked his mirror before getting out, maybe a passing car wouldn't have plowed into the door. Oops. A viral video has been making the rounds this week showing a nightmare scenario between a track-focused Ferrari and a pedestrian Mazda sedan. The Ferrari is seen slowly driving through a tight street before stopping to talk to somebody through his extremely tiny race-adapted window. The driver is told to park on the side of the street, while onlookers take photos and video. Unfortunately, the driver was so focused on parking and getting out, that he opened his door without checking for incoming traffic. The door swings open right before what appears to be a Mazda 3 drives through the street. The door is obliterated, and the video stops. The 458 Challenge debuted in 2010. It has a 570-horsepower V8 from the 458 Italia, but its weight, handling, and driving characteristics were significantly altered for racing. The gear ratios and transmission were adjusted for better low-end torque, it has stiffer springs and a lower stance, upgraded brakes, and thinner body panels. Right now on DuPont Registry, there are a variety of 458 Challenges for sale ranging from about $125,000 to roughly $200,000. All said, Challenge Ferraris are intended for track use only. Maybe the driver should have listened?
Fiat Chrysler denies rumors that Ferrari SpA is moving to London
Sat, Dec 13 2014It seems that reports of Ferrari's relocation to London have been somewhat exaggerated. The past few days have seen more than a few stories on the legendary Italian brand's decision to move its tax base out of Italy, and now Fiat Chrysler is speaking out against the scuttlebutt. "These rumors have no grounds," FCA said in a statement obtained by Reuters. "There is no intention to move the tax residence of Ferrari SpA outside Italy, nor is there any project to delocalize its Italian operations, which will continue to be subject to Italian tax jurisdiction." Ferrari's move to London was based on two beliefs. First, that the company would benefit from being located nearer the investor community, should it be listed on a European exchange. FCA, though, said a European listing was only a "possibility," according to Reuters. Instead, the company will be listed on an American market. Aside from the move to benefit investors, it was believed Ferrari was looking to relocate to escape Italy's more oppressive corporate tax rate, which sits around at 31.4 percent, compared to the UK's 20 percent, Bloomberg reports. This denial by Fiat Chrysler, though, should be enough to close the book on Ferrari leaving Italy, no matter how much sense it might make. Related Video:
