1999 Ferrari 360 Previously Celebrity Owned on 2040-cars
Rutherford, New Jersey, United States
This 1999 Ferrari 360 is being auctioned to the highest bidder. The car was
acquired from Southern California March 2009 with around 14500 miles. The car
has Stradale like full suede interior with suede racing seats. Service was completed
just before attaining the car done by RMT Motor Sports in Yorba Linda, CA at
14438 miles in Feb 2009. The replacement of cam belts and drive belts were
completed at this time, along with other service. When the car was received from
the shipper in March 2009 it was fit with a RoadBlock NY Protection Film on the
hood, bumper, fender and door edges. The car was previously owned by
celebrity actor Paul Walker, with all the documentation to prove it. The AZ
clean title is still in Paul Walker's name and is free and clear of any liens.
Carfax indicated that the car has never been involved in a collision. The car
does have a scratch on the right side bumper/quarter. It has a Stradale grill,
with an aftermarket radio. The car is always garaged and is driven on the
weekends while never seeing snow or rain. The winner of the auction is required
to give a $1,500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of winning the car, and car must be payed for in full one week from auction finalized. Please
contact through ebay to talk further about the vehicle if you have any questions
regarding the car before you bid. Looking to make this sale very easy regarding
any other questions, concerns, shipping. I reserve the right to end auction at
any time, as car is being sold locally. Vin: ZFFYR51B000116318

Luca doesn't believe in electric cars, but Ferrari will build more hybrids
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Confirming what we'd long suspected, the hybrid powertrain in the Ferrari LaFerrari was not a one-time thing. "I don't believe in the electric cars, but I strongly believe in hybrids," Ferrari boss Luca Cordero di Montezemolo tells Bloomberg. It's unclear when we'll see another hybrid Ferrari, though, as the automaker's current lineup is quite fresh - the oldest model is the California, which was updated for the 2013 model year - but make no mistake, there are more electrified cars coming from Maranello. "The answer is yes," Montezemolo told Bloomberg when asked about hybrids, although he was quick to add "without exceeding." It's that last part that is key for enthusiasts of the gas engine.
Ferrari's move towards hybrid powertrains reflects a pair of trends in both the political and motorsports spheres. Politically, automakers, even exotics, are being pushed to produce cars with cleaner emissions, or in many cases, no emissions at all. Look no further than the Range Rover Hybrid, which was just announced. Formula One's push towards hybridization and smaller engines is also informing decisions at Ferrari, with the LaFerrari already using hybrid tech already inspired by the sport.
Still, it's reassuring to know that while Ferrari is pushing forward with future technologies, that the gas engine won't go the way of the manual transmission in Maranello - at least in the near term.
2013 Ferrari FF [w/video]
Thu, 08 Aug 2013The World's Fastest Four-Passenger is Frickin' Fabulous
"I miss my mommy."
Those frightened words floated from the mouth of a five-year-old boy strapped snugly into a booster seat in the backseat of the Ferrari FF I was piloting. Moments earlier, his father had allowed me to take him, and his two brothers, for their first ride in a supercar, and I had apparently failed miserably.
Drunk driver launches $385,000 Ferrari off of cliff
Fri, Jan 20 2017A young man made the bad decision to get behind the wheel of his supercar after having too much to drink in Austin, TX. According to KTBC, the Austin Police and Fire Departments responded to a single vehicle crash just after 2 am on January 13. When first responders arrived on the scene, they discovered a mangled Ferrari 458 Italia at the bottom of a 50 foot ravine. Also in the ravine were three bruised, sheepish-looking drunks. Detective Mike Jennings of the Austin Police Department's DWI unit told KTBC that the trio was lucky to be alive. "They are lucky that we didn't have three people that were killed or injured more seriously than they were," Jennings told KTBC. Witnesses reported they spotted the Ferrari flying along the dark, windy road at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour before the driver lost control and balled the Ferarri up at the bottom of the ravine. The driver, James Allen of nearby Georgetown, TX, told APD officers that he'd only had two beers that night. Clearly not buying his explanation, APD arrested Allen for driving while intoxicated. "Anybody that has ever talked to intoxicated people, they always remember two beers, it's always the first one they had and the last one they had, it's everything in between, a lot of times they often forget," said Detective Jennings.
