The Toy Barn of Dublin Presents:

 photo DSC00266_zps7f7b7e0d.jpg

1998 Ferrari F355 Spider
Excellent condition, COMPLETE service history. This is a 6-speed with proper pedigree, so if you're looking for an F355 that's fully serviced and documented, ready to be enjoyed, you've found it.

The Toy Barn is thrilled to offer this STUNNING 1998 Ferrari F355, finished in Grigio (Gray) Metallic over Black Leather. This car is beautiful, and has several reasons to consider purchasing:

History: This 355 has only 29k miles, and is absolutely beautiful. We just recently took this Spider in on trade from a regular client/collector/enthusiast who owned it for the past several years, and had it maintained and serviced regularly and thoroughly. The service work was all recorded and performed (dating back to the original owner) at NJB Automotive, one of the top Ferrari shops in the midwest, specializing in F355's. They just performed the annual maintenance in April, and the "major engine out service" is not yet due according to NJB. The clutch feels great, and was replaced at about 20k by NJB, so it has plenty of life left. The service is fresh, the finish is excellent, and the car is beautiful.

Condition: As already mentioned, this car is beautiful. The paint shows beautifully, and the car has a clean Carfax report as shown in the link provided below. The wheels are excellent and damage free, and the tires have plenty of tread remaining. Overall, the exterior of this 355 is a solid 9 out of 10. I'd be happy to walk the car over the phone for you to tell you exactly what I see. On the inside, the interior is excellent as well. The black leather looks great, everything works as it should, and all of the infamous "sticky" areas common to these cars (specifically the steering column) were fixed at NJB, so overall, the interior is a solid 8.5-9 out of 10, with the only real reason for not being a 9+ simply because of some slight signs of aging.

Conclusion and points to consider: We sell Ferraris on a regular basis, and most of the time deal in the 360 to 430 cars, with the occasional 458. Seldom do we pursue the 355 or get them in on trade, simply because we would want the right car; manual transmission, proper pedigree, with fresh service and in a great color combination. This is just as described, and quite frankly, VERY rare. This is an opportunity to get a freshly-serviced Spider, with the 6 speed manual. If you've been searching high and low for that car, THIS IS IT. It will be sold with 2 keys and 3 remotes (including the RED) and all of the original books and manuals, tool kit, mats, car cover, as well as FULL service documentation and history. Please call me with any questions you may have.

This Spider has the following included with the sale:
All books and manuals
Both Keys and  3 Remotes
Full records and owner history

Check out the pictures below, be sure and allow time for them to load!

If you have any questions about the condition of this car, and would like for me to go over it panel by panel with you, please give me a ring. I'd be glad to do an "over the phone" walkaround for you.

Why the Ferrari Testarossa deserves some respect

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Join us for a moment in putting on our way-back hats, zeroing in on the late 1980s. Imagine that you're in your bedroom. Look over at the wall across from your bed. What car do you see on the poster? If you're anything like us, it's a Lamborghini Countach - in fact, it's a trio of Lamborghini Countach models in an array of colors. Oh, and there's also a 1:18-scale diecast Countach in black sitting on our dresser with its scissor doors locked in a skyward embrace.
Of course, the Raging Bull wasn't Italy's only great supercar from the 1980s, especially if you cast your lot at the temple of the Prancing Horse. The Ferrari Testarossa, as pointed out in the latest video from Petrolicious, is an oft unsung hero penned from the stuff boyhood dreams are made of. Far from a *ahem* red-headed stepchild, the Testarossa deserves a place in the minds and hearts of '80s supercar fans the world over.
Scroll down below to watch vintage car collector Joe Ventura talk about the Ferrari Testarossa with beautifully bright red Italian design serving as a fitting backdrop.

Mike Tyson's 1995 Ferrari F50 packs one helluva punch

Tue, Feb 21 2017

Despite a reputation as a bit of a letdown following the now legendary Ferrari F40, the Ferrari F50 is still one of the most raw and unfettered sports cars to ever grace public roads. RM Sotheby's auctions is now selling a pristine 5,694-mile example that was once owned by former professional boxer Mike Tyson. Like Tyson, the F50 and its Formula One derived V12 is sure to leave a lasting impact on anyone that crosses its path. Though the celebrity tax varies from car to car, Hagerty's valuation tool says even a heavily used F50 is still a million-plus dollar car. RM Sotheby's expects the car to sell for between $2.2 and $2.4 million, slightly more than the $2.25 million estimate for a nearly flawless example, which this car appears to be. According to the listing, the car has never been driven hard and has been well maintained throughout its life. The 1990s weren't Ferrari's best years for design with soft edges and questionable fascias. Likewise, the F50 is a love it or hate it sort of design. The paint appears to be in good condition and free of any damage. The bare carbon fiber and leather interior shows little to no wear. The gated manual shifter connected to a 4.7-liter naturally-aspirated 520 horsepower V12 is a combo that's gone out of vogue. The engine is derived from the one that powered the Alain Prost's 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One car. This car is number 73 out of 349 and one of only 50 built to US spec. Tyson sold the car with roughly 4,900 miles, with the rest accumulating since about 2005. The car's service records are incomplete, though it has had an a couple of engine-out services along a full electronic updates, a new rear seal, rebuilt oil and water pumps, the dashboard pod removed, serviced, and reinstalled, the lighting system upgraded, the ride height actuator replaced, new tires, new fuel bladders, a full brake system service, and new main seals. In addition, the car comes with two sets of tools in the front deck, owner's manuals and warranty booklet in their leather folio, wheel socket, car cover in bag, both the removable hardtop and emergency soft top with bag, utility light, its window sticker, and the "circus trunk" containing roll bars, and a carbon rear tonneau cover. Look for the car to head across the auction block on Saturday March 11. No Internet bidding, but if you have the cash to pony up the you probably can afford to be there in person. Related Video:
