1999 Ferrari F355 Spider w/F-1 Paddle Transmission. Convertible. Billed as the ultimate driving Ferrari, this F355 represents the purist's version of the Ferrari Experience. This rare color, Grigio Ingrid Ferrari F355 Spider Convertible, was one of four manufactured in this color and is ready for its next owner. The F-1 Paddle Transmission is in fantastic condition and with its 380 HP.... not lacking for speed.  It is a 1999, therefore the valve guide issues that were common on earlier cars were addressed and remedied by Ferrari on the 1999 models.

It is optioned nicely with dual power leather seats, Tubi Exhausts, 18" wheels, built in radar detector, power windows & door locks, sports suspension, some service receipts and 22,000 low miles!!!

This is a very nice driving car, has normal wear and scraps on the front bumper, due to low ground clearance. Driver’s seat hardly has any wear on the outside bolster, and no rips or tears.  The convertible top is fully functional, but I have to give it a slight push to get the cycle started.  I have read that this is fairly common on these cars.  Also, the driver's side window needs some adjustment.  It works fine, but needs to be snugged up in the track.  Also, the car is due to have major service performed, based on the time, not mileage. I could have this done, but thought that a new owner might want to either do it himself, or have it done by their local mechanic.  Overall, I think you will find this will be one of the best values for a low mileage F355 on EBay given the condition

Race Recap: 2014 Malaysian F1 Grand Prix [spoilers]

Sun, 30 Mar 2014

The Malaysian Grand Prix is always one of the jokers on the Formula One calendar: you know it's going to rain during the weekend, but you don't know when. This year it began during qualifying, the dammed up clouds over the Sepang track dumping their reservoirs just before Q1 and causing a 50-minute delay.
The conditions helped Infiniti Red Bull Racing close the gap on Mercedes AMG Petronas and split the Silver Arrows cars, Sebastian Vettel lining up in second on the grid behind pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton, ahead of Nico Rosberg. Fernando Alonso recovered from a suspension-damaging incident with Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kyvat to take fourth, followed by the second Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo in fifth, then the off-form Kimi Räikkönen in sixth in the second Ferrari, Nico Hülkenberg in the Force India, star rookie Kevin Magnussen in the first McLaren ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne in the Toro Rosso, and Jenson Button in the second McLaren finishing up the top ten.
After that, though, the clouds decided they were done with F1. Save a few drop at the final corners during the race, the track stayed completely dry. And except for the beginning and the end, for the most part, so was the race.

Bahrain Grand Prix proves that Formula 1 finally has parity

Sun, Apr 16 2017

Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel claimed victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix 6.6 seconds in front of Mercedes-AMG's Lewis Hamilton. In so doing, Vettel vaulted into first place in the driver standings ahead of Hamilton, with two race victories to the Mercedes driver's one. The decisive moment in the race came with 16 laps remaining, as Hamilton served a 5-second penalty for holding up Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo in the pit lane in an earlier pit stop during a safety car period. Hamilton was able to reclaim second place in front of teammate Valtteri Bottas with 10 laps remaining, and he cut Vettel's lead from 13 seconds to 6.6 seconds at the finish. Bottas went on to finish third, followed by Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen in fourth. Ricciardo crossed the line in fifth, meaning there were three constructors in the top five places in Bahrain. Perhaps more than anything else, the 2017 season has been unpredictable and entertaining, marking a break from the last several years in F1 where one marque has been dominant. Here's hoping the rest of the year provides similar thrills and spectacle. Track lapping in Ferrari's new 488 GTB

Fri, Jun 5 2015

With the floodgates opening on impressions about Ferrari's latest 488 GTB, Chris Harris is the latest person to climb into the driver's seat and give his initial opinions on the Prancing Horse's latest turbocharged effort. The 488 GTB is a hard vehicle to pin down, though. It looks vaguely like the naturally aspirated 458 but practically every component is thoroughly revised. While the headline-grabber is the 660-horsepower, 3.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 that's positioned behind the driver, the coupe also benefits from new adjustable dampers, upgraded brakes, and more. To figure things out, Harris laps the Prancing Horse around the track and eventually moves to some tight, Italian backroads. Of course being a video from Chris Harris on Cars, you can expect some big, smoky slides in addition to erudite thoughts on this Ferrari with forced induction.
