Race Recap: 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix follows the template of this year and last [spoilers]

The sand, the wind, the penalties, the contact and the one crash - all of them collided to make the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix a surprise affair from day to day and lap to lap. Oh, and did we mention the tires? Pirelli made a last-minute swap after the amusement park ride that the Chinese Grand Prix turned into with the soft compound tire, and brought medium and hard compounds to the desert. That didn't stop things from falling apart for some teams - literally - and that didn't stop the one team that seems to love the hard compound Pirelli tire.

Trump's old Ferrari F430 sells for $270,000

You may remember that Auctions America was going to sell a 2007 Ferrari F430 owned by the current president of the United States. It was estimated at between $250,000 and $350,000. It went for auction this weekend and just barely fell into that range. According to Bloomberg, Donald Trump's old Ferrari failed to meet the reserve, set at $250,000, with a final bid of $240,000. However, Auctions America said the car sold after the auction at $270,000. So the auction company did get its estimate right, but just barely. As for what the new owner purchased, he or she got an F430 with celebrity and presidential heritage, the F1 automatic gearbox, low miles, a service history, and a classic Ferrari red paint job. Of course we still stand by our preference for a manual one in our choice of color and without any celebrity history (or baggage depending on your opinion). Ferrari presents its 2016 F1 car, the SF16-H

Ferrari has presented the Formula 1 car with which it hopes to take the fight to Mercedes during the 2016 season. The SF16-H, as the new single-seater will be called, sports a different livery, as speculated in the past weeks, with white paint appearing on the engine cover, the front wing and in front of the cockpit. Ferrari is believed to have made significant changes to the engine that will power the car this year in the hope of catching Mercedes after a promising 2015 season. The Maranello squad finished second behind the German squad in the standings, bouncing back from a disastrous 2014. Sebastian Vettel won three races for the team on his way to third in the standings. The German will be partnered by Kimi Raikkonen once more. The car is expected to take to the track on Sunday for a filming day at Barcelona before testing kicks off on Monday at the Spanish circuit.
