This fine example is a well-maintained and thoroughly documented example complete with service records back to 1995 and book set. Finished in a wonderfully elegant color combination of grey with dark blue interior, this car was sold new on 31 May 1995 in San Antonio, Texas. Its original window sticker price was $121,900. The car remained in Texas until 2004, at which point it was relocated to California, where it has remained since. It has been regularly serviced with the following work performed since 2011: new starter, new clutch, rebuilt climate control unit, timing belt replacement (May 2013), and routine servicing.

The car is in very good largely original cosmetic condition. The paint is in very good condition, with excellent luster and few blemishes. A few small chips have been touched up, and the front bumper has light road rash and a small crack at the bottom of the valence. The front decklid has almost no marks on it, and the lights are in excellent shape. The wheels and in very good shape, with no significant curb rash and just a few minor marks. The glass and lights are excellent as is the top, which looks virtually unused.

The interior is in good condition. The leather is intact and nice overall, though there is some wear on the driver’s seat bolster and some creasing on the seats. The instruments are in very good condition and the dashboard is in good condition, although the leather on the instrument binnacle is shrinking slightly. The switches and controls are in very good to excellent shape, though some of the black interior components such as the ashtray lid have become tacky, a common issue with Ferraris of this period. The car was fitted with an expensive aftermarket stereo system as well.

The engine compartment and front compartment are both in original and very clean condition, in keeping with a properly maintained, low-mileage car. The front compartment is surprisingly large and in essentially as new condition.

The 348 Spyder is surprisingly rare for a modern Ferrari, with 1090 examples built during only one model year of production. This particular example is well-documented, well-maintained, and finished in a rare and desirable color, making it ideal for an enthusiastic owner seeking something a bit different.

Italian cars have a reputation for drawing out the fiery, emotional and passionate sides of car enthusiasts - something that becomes abundantly clear when you ask a group of Autoblog editors to rank a list of their favorites.
With the departure of Luca di Montezemolo from Ferrari being fresh on our collective minds today, your friendly team of editors started pleasantly discussing which of the cars launched during his era was our favorite. The conversation was rousing, so we thought it would be entertaining to put the choices to a quick ranked vote, and bring you a sort of Editors' Choice list for road-going Ferraris from the 1990s through today.

The Ferrari 488 Challenge is the one-make series' first turbo car

Ferrari has revealed its newest Ferrari Challenge series racecar, just in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the one-make series next year. The new model is the 488 Challenge, and like its road-going sibling, it features a turbocharged V8. This makes the 488 Challenge the first car in the series to use a turbocharger, and at 670 CV (660 horsepower), it's the most powerful car the series has featured. The car made its debut at the season-ending Finali Mondiali event at Daytona International Speedway over the weekend. In addition to the new powertrain, the 488 Challenge gets other updates compared to its 458-based predecessor. The engine is lighter by more than 43 pounds, and the exhaust has lost nearly 19 pounds. The front bumper and the hood have been completely redesigned, and the rear wing is larger than its predecessor's. Drivers also now have a pair of manettinos (make that manettini) on the steering wheel for managing traction control settings, instead of one like on the road cars. One adjusts when it activates, and the other controls how aggressive the system is when it does kick in. Thanks to these various changes, the 488 Challenge is notably faster than the previous Challenge car, the 458 Challenge Evoluzione. Ferrari claims the 488 lapped its Fiorano test circuit a full second faster than the 458. You'll be able to see this new Ferrari in action in the coming year's Ferrari Challenge Series. Bentley went to the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance as the main sponsor and showed off six of its best among the gathering of "60 of the finest motor cars in the world," including the 4¼-liter Bentley 'Embiricos' Special built for a Greek shipping magnate and gentleman racer in the 1930s.
Even better, for us at least, is that when Bentley decided to capture the moment it took pictures of most of the metal on the lawn, not just the Bentleys.
