I'm selling a very nice condition Ferrari 348ts. This is a real eye catcher and attracts people wherever its driven. The car has 33,182 original miles on it. I have a large folder filled with records and receipts from the past service. The major engine out service, with timing belt, acc belt, seals and gaskets was preformed in 2006. I had the O2 sensors replaced and the plugs and plug wires replaced in 2010 and the  clutch and bearings done 2012. I have all the records for this.

Now about the car. Red with tan leather. The paint is nice but not perfect. There are small chips and lights scuffs on the paint (this is and older Ferrari not a new one). The car has had paint work done in the past, you can see the front was repainted at some point. But it looks pretty nice and matches well. The door sill plate have been replaced with carbon fiber ones (please see the pictures). The car shows wear and some use. I have driven this car quite a bit over the years it was never a garage queen. It was to be driven!. The seats show wear and the drivers side bolster is worn pretty good (see the pictures). The air blows cold, every thing on the cars works to my knowledge. The tires are in great shape as are the brakes. The engine starts and runs with just a touch of the key, It does not smoke, overheat, or leak fluids on the floor. The 5 speed transmission shifts firmly when warm (Ferrari's don't like to shift when the gear oil is cold FYI). The Targa top is in good shape and spends most or the time out of the car.

I encourage any one that is bidding to call me , or look at the car before the auction ends! This is a vintage car and you should see it, hear it run drive it and know what you bidding on before you buy it. Im selling it as is with NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  Please feel free to call me 419-957-9694 between 9-5 EST. If I don't answer leave a message. I will call you back. If your serious about the purchase we can arrange a test drive!!

Please feel free to ask and questions about the car. I can provide more pictures if you need

Happy bidding

Mercedes sues Ferrari-bound F1 engineer for stealing secrets

Tue, Dec 8 2015

Mercedes is suing one of its Formula One engineers, one Benjamin Hoyle, claiming he was planning to take sensitive data to a competitor. An experienced powertrain engineer, Hoyle came to Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in 2012 with previous experience at Prodrive and Cosworth. One of four team leaders at the company, Hoyle headed up the performance application department until he notified his employers of his intention not to seek renewal of his contract that expires at the end of this year. Once they found out that Hoyle was switching to Ferrari, the higher-ups at Mercedes reassigned him to other, less sensitive duties, however Hoyle was reportedly discovered accessing race reports and other sensitive data relating to the performance of the team's engines. In response, Mercedes has filed suit against Hoyle, claiming that he "and potentially Ferrari have gained an unlawful advantage." The German automaker is seeking the return of all documents and the payment of its legal fees. It also seeks to prevent Hoyle from working for another F1 team throughout next season. Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is the Daimler's F1 engine division. Based in Brixworth, UK, it was founded back in 1983 together with Ilmor before Mercedes bought it outright. Aside from the company's own works team, the outfit this year powered Williams, Lotus, and Force India, and previously worked with McLaren as well as Sauber. This is not the first time that a case of industrial espionage has emerged in F1. A similar controversy erupted in 2007 surrounding engineers Nigel Stepney and Mike Coughlan. The highly publicized incident became known as "Spygate" or "Stepneygate" and involved the illegal sharing of secrets between Ferrari, McLaren, and Renault. Phony Fauxrrari and Shamborghini replicas seized in Brazil

Wed, Jul 17 2019

A shop in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil has been raided and shut down by police after it was discovered that it was turning out shoddy replica supercars. The Fauxrrari and Shamborghini (we borrowed the latter clever term from the Associated Press) copies themselves look impressively detailed considering that they were reportedly coming out of a father-son operation, but the engineering, underpinnings and powertrains are surely a wee bit shy of what's flowing out of the real factories in Italy. According to the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper, one replica was powered by the engine from a Chevrolet Omega, which we knew at one time in the U.S. as the Cadillac Catera. Scrolling through the image gallery above, though, we see at least one Ferrari knock-off that appears to have a bright red intake manifold behind the passenger compartment, so who knows? Police reported that the replicas were being offered on unknown social media channels for between $45,000 and $60,000. Needless to say, that's nowhere near the price of a real Ferrari or Lamborghini. And this isn't the first (and likely, not the last) time this has happened, either. According to the AP, the raid was conducted after at least one of the Italian marques tipped off authorities. Eight vehicles in various states of completion were found, along with tools, molds and what looks to be a treasure trove of car parts. It's not clear how many finished vehicles may have rolled out of the shop, or how many may already be in the hands of buyers. The father and son duo who ran the operation have been arrested on industrial property charges.

Race Recap: 2014 Australian Grand Prix quietly opens the new F1 era [spoilers]

Sun, 16 Mar 2014

The first chapter of the new Formula One era has been written with the conclusion of the Australian Grand Prix, and it included a rookie rush, some resurgent and some unsurprising performances, the sound of screeching tires and a couple of firsts.
Outside predictions as to the pace of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team were proved as soon as the Friday practice sessions, with Lewis Hamilton recovering from an engine sensor fault in the first session to top the second, followed by teammate Nico Rosberg. That didn't change come the start of qualifying, not even the rain slowing down the Silver Arrows, Hamilton taking pole as the last man across the line in Q3.
The surprises were in the order behind him, with new Infiniti Red Bull Racing man Daniel Ricciardo grabbing second spot just three-tenths of a second down on Hamilton. Ricciardo not only looked like he belonged at the front of the grid the entire weekend, but he seems to have reversed the Mark Webber jinx: four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel had car issues and didn't get into Q3, having to settle for 13th on the grid.
