I'm selling this car for the widow of a late friend of mine. Here's what i can tell you. The car has been in storage in Gilroy Ca for approximately 9 years. I'm retired from a Ferrari service shop and I serviced this car in 2004. For whatever reason the rear head was removed and a valve job and valve adjustment made at that time. New timing belts were fitted. New timing belt tensioners. The leather seats were redone, the catalytic converters replaced. the Owner had several Ferrari's. To my knowledge, the owner never drove this car. I believe the car was repainted, but not sure when. the paint looks very nice. The tires look OK but are at least 8 years old. Its a rare sunroof model The owner died in May of last year and I flew up to Gilroy in March of this year, and drove it to Lake Elsinore California without incident. the car runs very well. It is a very original car with the original stalk type radio that works. I have no idea if the A/C works and apart from the above, I know very little about the car. So bid accordingly. the successful bidder should Paypal a $500 deposit to me and the balance will be paid to the widow in Gilroy who has the clear title. The vehicle is currently on a PNO and there are no past fees due. The car is at my shop in Lake Elsinore ca.

Ferrari replacing fuel tanks on limited number of LaFerraris
Wed, Mar 18 2015Ferrari is working to repair an issue with its flagship LaFerrari hypercar, but the automaker claims the problem is not as drastic as some widely-circulated rumors would have you believe. In response to our inquiry into the matter, a Ferrari spokesperson told Autoblog that "no recall has been issued regarding the LaFerrari." Instead, the company tells us that "some clients have been invited to take their cars to an authorized service center to substitute the fuel tank with a new one with new paint." The issue seems to revolve around "a possible incorrect adhesion of a layer of paint on the fuel tank," which could result in a fire. Contrary to rumors that suggested the issue would affect every example of the seven-figure supercar built to date and would take several weeks to repair, we're told that "the time to change the fuel tank is relatively short and the intervention concerns only a limited number of LaFerraris." That "relatively short" time period, we're told, "takes approximately one day," and "all of the cars have already been serviced in the US." As to whether this constitutes a recall or simply a suggested service as Ferrari claims, however, is a matter that's open to interpretation. Related Video:
Scuderia Ferrari F138 unveiled in Maranello
Fri, 01 Feb 2013This is the F138, the Formula One challenger that Ferrari CEO Luca de Montezemolo describes as "hopeful" and the eighth and final version of a Scuderia Ferrari Formula One car with a V8 engine - for now. The last digit in this car's name pays homage to that cylinder count, while the first two digits represent the year; next year the regulations will mandate 1.6-liter turbocharged V6s.
The Scuderia did well in pre-season testing last year but at the first race found itself almost two seconds down on the other top teams. With no significant changes to the regulations for 2013, Ferrari focused on weight loss, making components smaller and making the package more rigid, refining every aspect of a car that's essentially an evolution of last year's F2012. The front suspension has been redesigned for aero benefit, and the rear suspension is completely new. The front and rear wings are evolutions, and there's a new air intake design above the cockpit and redesigned intakes on the sidepods. The rear bodywork forms a much narrower package around the redesigned exhaust system, and the KERS is smaller and lighter.
Getting a jump on the 2014 car that will be a clean-sheet design under the new technical regime, Ferrari has integrated the spec TAG 320 electronic controller unit to this year's car. Forbidden from raising the power performance of the engine, the F1 team has worked on maintaining that performance over the three-race life of the engine. And yes, that's a vanity panel over the stepped nose in front.
