Good Condition All Original Runs & Drives Hole In Piston Mitsubishi 3000gt Vr4 on 2040-cars
Hurricane, Utah, United States
Completely stock and original, well maintained, enthusiast owned (he even bought another one), two long-term owners, 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo AWD with a hole in the #6 piston (we scoped it). It runs and drives and can be driven safely onto a trailer. It even comes with the original window sticker (see pics). Back in the day these were referred to as the Swiss Army Knife of cars because they had everything... 320 horsepower, twin turbos, all wheel drive, etc. As the years have gone by they are now becoming collector cars (especially original, unmodified examples like this one).
Running gear is in great shape other than the hole in the piston. It was a very well cared for daily driver until then. Brakes work great, it shifts smoothly, steers well and does everything the way you would expect from a well maintained, enthusiast owned Stealth R/T Twin Turbo. Engine does not overheat. There is no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. Repair the engine and you've got an awesome ride. Exterior is completely stock and original including paint. Body is in excellent, rust free, accident free condition. It has some pitting on the hood from freeway driving. Paint has faded slightly on some of the red and black plastic surfaces (see pics). I think a good wax and buff would take care of a lot of it. That's the downside of spending most of it's life in a dry, desert climate. Tires are newer Michelin's. Interior has aged well. Leather (a very desirable option) is good other than portions of the front seats which could stand to be dyed. Driver side left lumbar support is the only real upholstery flaw and it's confined to one panel (see pics). Interior components work properly other than AC (fan blows but it needs to be charged). Defrost vent grills have minor heat-related warpage. All gauges work. SRS light stays on. Stereo is the original and desirable high-end Option Group B unit and works well. This is a great, all original Stealth Twin Turbo. If you are mechanically inclined this could be a very cost-effective way to get into one of the best Japanese GT cars of the 1990's. I hope it finds a home with someone who is a fan of AWD Twin Turbo Stealth's and her Mitsubishi sister-ship, the 3000GT VR4. My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. I also have additional pictures that show every nook and cranny in detail. Send me your email address and I'll get them to you. This sweet 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo AWD is located in the dry, desert community of Hurricane, Utah (a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Thank you very much for your interest. |

Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.
FCA CEO Mike Manley will run Americas for Stellantis after PSA merger
Sun, Dec 20 2020DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler CEO Mike Manley will run operations in the Americas when his company merges with FranceÂ’s PSA Peugeot early next year. FCA Chairman John Elkann announced ManleyÂ’s new post on Friday in a letter to employees. ManleyÂ’s role in the merged company had been a mystery. PSA CEO Carlos Tavares will run the overall company, to be named Stellantis. Shareholders of both companies will vote on the merger Jan. 4 to seal the deal creating the worldÂ’s fourth-largest automaker. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of March. PSA will get six seats on the new companyÂ’s 11-member board, which will be chaired by Elkann. The Americas, especially the U.S., are key to the new companyÂ’s success. Fiat ChryslerÂ’s Jeep and Ram brands are highly profitable, and Tavares has long wanted to sell PSA vehicles in the U.S. Manley has been the Italian-American automakerÂ’s CEO for 2 1/2 years, taking over when Sergio Marchionne died in 2018. Stellantis will have the capacity to produce 8.7 million cars a year, just behind Volkswagen, the Renault-Nissan alliance and Toyota. All-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT confirmed by EPA website
Thu, Oct 27 2016The US Environmental Protection Agency accidentally confirmed the upcoming Dodge Challenger GT by posting fuel economy figures for the all-wheel-drive variant of the muscle car. According to FuelEconomy.gov, the Challenger GT, which will come with the 3.6-liter V6 when it's released, is rated to get 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway, giving the vehicle a combined rating of 21 miles per gallon. Those figures are slightly lower than the rear-wheel-drive Challenger with the same engine, which gets 19 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. While previous reports indicated that Dodge is planning to release the all-wheel-drive Challenger GT sometime in 2017, the automaker hasn't confirmed the vehicle. (Mopar's all-wheel-drive concept from last year's SEMA Show is pictured above.) With the EPA putting out the car's official fuel economy figures, the all-wheel-drive muscle car is definitely coming, and should be here before the entire Challenger lineup gets its expected redesign in 2018. And yes, we're still hopeful that the so-called Challenger ADR we saw in spy photos means we'll see all wheel drive and Hellcat power. Because Hellcat everything. Related Video:
