1992 Dodge Stealth R/T 90,xxx miles!!! same as Mitsubishi 3000gt

Exterior:
This car is a beautiful and rare Fiji Blue color. Paint is in amazing shape with no rust, there are no obvious blemishes to the exterior except for one small dent on the passenger side quarter panel and one on the drivers both will not show up in photos. The spoiler, side mirrors and "Dodge Stealth R/T" rear letters have been painted gloss black to match the roof panel. The wheels are in great shape as well, with only one small scuff on each of the two front rims.
Mechanical:
The engine runs very smoothly, starts quickly, and has plenty of power. It has less than 2,000 miles on a 60k tune up (new timing belt, tensioners, water pump, plug wires, accessory belts and valve cover gaskets). A new clutch was also installed at this time and the transaxle fluid was changed as well. The transmission shifts smoothly into every gear with no grinds or scratches. The A/C blows ice cold. Tires have about 75% tread left. The only downside mechanically is that the ECS button isn't working, as the Sport/Tour light doesn't function. I have been told it just needs a new suspension computer but haven't needed the function so it remains in its current state.
Interior:
Dark grey leather seats are all in mint condition except for the driver's seat which does show some wear although there are no actual tears in it, all electric seat controls are completely functional. Carpets are all stain free including the trunk area. The "Stealth" mats are included and are in good shape, with the drivers side showing only light staining. Other than the standard Stealth/3000gt problem of the defroster vents being cracked, the dash and center console are in great condition. The shifter boot is brand new. The stereo control buttons on the steering wheel function perfectly. The headliner is in great shape with no tears or sags. The LCD climate control panel, and stock stereo function properly with no issues. The only other negatives to the interior are some sun damage to the steering wheel, and E-brake handle, and the drivers side door panel has a very small tear that is visible in that respective photo.

This car is one of the cleanest examples in this color and year that you will ever find. The miles are actual and the vehicle runs and drives as perfectly as when it was brand new. Mileage is going to change as the car is still being driven. I have tried to be as honest and forthcoming with every detail good and bad of this vehicle, regardless this is a used car and is being sold as is.  If you have questions please do not hesitate to ask, also if you are local you are more than welcome to come and see the car. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.

The future's electric — but the present is peak gasoline. Burn some rubber! Do donuts!

Wed, Jun 23 2021

I vividly remember the year 1993 as a teenager looking forward to getting my driver’s license, longingly staring into Pontiac dealerships at every opportunity for a chance to see the brand-new fourth-generation Firebird and Trans Am. Back then, 275 horsepower, courtesy of GMÂ’s LT1 5.7-liter V8 engine, was breathtaking. A few years later, when Ram Air induction systems freed up enough fresh air to boost power over 300 ponies, I figured we were right back where my fatherÂ’s generation left off when the seminal muscle car era ended around the year 1974. It couldn't get any better than that. I was wrong. Horsepower continued climbing, prices remained within reach of the average new-car buyer looking for cheap performance, and a whole new level of muscular magnitude continued widening eyes of automotive enthusiasts all across the United States. It was all ushered in by cheap gasoline prices. And as much as petrolheads bemoan the coming wave of electric vehicles, perhaps instead now would be a good time for critics to sit back and enjoy the current and likely final wave of internal combustion. Today, itÂ’s easier than ever to park an overpowered rear-wheel-drive super coupe or sedan in your driveway. Your nearest Chevy dealership will happily sell you a Camaro with as much as 650 horsepower. Not enough? Take a gander at the Ford showroom and youÂ’ll find a herd of Mustangs up to 760 ponies. Or if nothing but the most powerful will do, waltz on over to the truly combustion-obsessed sales team of a Dodge dealer and relish in the glory of a 797-hp Charger or 807-hp Challenger. Want some more luxury to go with your overgrown stable of horses? Try Cadillac, where you'll find a 668-horsepower CT5-V Blackwing. You could instead choose to wrap that huffin' and chuggin' V8 in an SUV. Or go really off the rails and buy a Ram TRX or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and hit the dunes after a quick stop at the drag strip. Go pump some gas. Burn a little rubber. Do donuts! There is nothing but your pocketbook keeping you from buying the V8-powered car of your dreams. Yes, just about every major automaker in the world has halted development of future internal combustion engines in favor of gaining expertise in batteries and electric motors. No, that doesnÂ’t mean that gasoline is going extinct. There are going to be gas stations dotting American cities and highways for the rest of our lifetimes.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.

2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.
