This is a contractor type van with weatherguard shelves.  TWO sliding doors plus the barn doors in back.  A rare configuration.  In have a lista tool cabinet facing out the drivers side for easy tool access. This cabinet cost around $2000 alone.  It has ball bearing slides and the drawers are a full 24" deep. Has a tripp lite aps 1250 110v inverter with built in 30 amp battery charger.  Works well for saws , lights and smaller compressors. Just not big stuff for long periods.  Has trailer hitch receiver and 7 pole wires outlet. No brake controller though.  Van has 2 long narrow weatherguard pack rats facing out the rear, and a 3rd also facing out the back with 3 drawers built in.  I tried to make a many items accessible from outside the van.  This setup works great.  Factory bulkhead with glass. I have 2 factory keys.  4wheel disc brakes.  5 cyl Mercedes diesel with new head and glow plugs replaced when i bought 4 years ago by the old dealer. Nice perk little perk.  Google tripplite for the inverter and lista cabinets for the drawers and weatherguard for the pack rats and shelves.  I also installed a factory mercedes grill and some emblems. This is the way they are built before dodge puts their chrome grill on.  Looks much better

The bad stuff that isn't that bad.  Sometimes the horn isn't loud or not working.  Probably needs to be replaced.  I removed a cheap radio and bought a used factory radio but i don't know how to hook it up with the security code thing.  Small dent in hood. Small dent in rear quarter.  Rust under windshield by the rubber trim.  The underside is very clean in my book.  Some kids stole my tires a year ago, so i had a bodyshop repaint some used and they are better than factory.  I then put on 4 vanco cargo tires with a high load rating. They have about 5000 miles on them maybe less. On the rims,  The body shop used double clear coat that will keep them from rusting like the factory rims always do. The kids also jacked it up on the rockers, making small dents in them.  I just left it and its not really noticeable unless you are underneath.   The factory blue paint sometimes would get a rust spot, but i would sand them off and repaint.  I haven't had to do anything in the last 2 years though.  The pictures are from a unwashed un touched up no wax in daily use setting.  It will look better buffed and waxed and cleaned.  But i have used it as a contractor van and is my pride and joy, if you want something with no signs of use you should buy another one.  This one is used daily, greased oiled and loved by my crew.  I bought a 07 sprinter but this one everyone likes the 04 better.  Better turning radius, better mpg, 2 sliding doors, and shorter. More glass too.

Work i had my shop do this summer as follows.  Replaced Brake pads but left rotors alone.  Transmission service.  Charged engine oil with synthetic.  New windshield.  Air filter.  New battery.  Rear shocks were replaced.  Upgraded the alternator to a 150 amp bosch.  The original was only 90 amps.

If you dont want the shelves and tool boxes and inverter i will subtract 1200.   If you want to have a shop inspect it email me. Ill work with you. Thanks pete 612 990 0335

2018 Dodge Durango GT Rallye gets Charger and Viper-inspired styling

Tue, Apr 10 2018

The third-generation Dodge Durango has been on sale since 2011. Essentially a long-wheelbase Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Durango's styling draws a lot of influence from cars like the Dodge Charger and Challenger. For 2018, the three-row SUV will be available with an optional GT Rallye appearance package. Think of this as a V6 model with the face from the more powerful Durango R/T. The appearance package is a $1,495 option on the mid-range Durango GT and is only available for a limited time. Like the R/T, the GT Rallye's front fascia is heavily inspired by the Dodge Charger Daytona. It ditches the standard crosshair design for a slim mesh grille, and adds a Viper-inspired hood scoop and vent. It also gets LED fog lights. The GT Rallye is available in both rear- and all-wheel drive. Customers can also add the Blacktop package and Brass Monkey wheels. Mechanically, nothing changes. The Durango GT Rallye is still powered by the 295-horsepower 3.6-liter V6. The Durango GT starts at $38,990. Related Video: Design/Style Dodge SUV

Watch these Dodge Demons explode on a Texas drag strip

Thu, Feb 14 2019

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is extremely quick. It can hit 60 mph from a dead stop in less time than it takes to read this sentence thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter V8. That engine makes up to 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque, depending on what octane is running through the fuel lines. That's a ton of power going solely to the rear wheels. So much so that Dodge developed a number of features and a new set of tires specifically for the car. In our time with the Demon, the car took abuse run after run on a drag strip without skipping a beat, but it seems some actual owners aren't quite so lucky. Just take a look at what happened to a few of these cars. You can see the whole car shake and jitter right as the whole rear explodes in front of the tree. It seems the initial shock from the launch — the most taxing bit of any drag run — is what kills the differentials. Catastrophic failure is rarely pretty, but it is neat to see the whole thing occur in slow motion. Three more cars — four stock and one modified in total — suffered similar fates. Not a great look for Dodge or SRT. According to The Drive, a private drag event in Texas drew a number of Demon owners all trying to beat NHRA NHRA Top Fuel racer Leah Pritchett's time in her personal Dodge Demon — 42 stock Demons attended along with five modified cars. While no one managed to match her 9.65-second quarter-mile run, a few owners did dip below 10 seconds. Now, there are a few of caveats we must address. First, with any modified car, you run the risk of breaking something, even with a car that's set up from stock specifically for drag strips. Even a set of tires like the Mickey Thompsons shown in the video above can have an effect on driveline components. Horsepower may be king, but it's torque that's the rear killer. All that torque sends a shock through the car. Adding even more with aftermarket parts increases the risk of something failing. The modified car was apparently pushing out about 1,000 horsepower. That said, four of the five vehicles were stock, so any extra power or torque should theoretically be a non-factor. The drag strip's surface was maintained by a company called Mass Traction. FCA used Mass Traction during the Demon's development, so that too should be a non-factor in the part's failure. It's unclear what exactly caused the failures, though The Drive reports that FCA officials are investigating the matter. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.

Chrysler recalling 644k more Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs over brakes

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Early last month, we reported on Chrysler issuing a preemptive, proactive recall for about 25,000 units of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. The issue revolved around a brake system that wasn't causing any actual problems, but delivered an unsatisfactory brake feel, so Auburn Hills called in a good 25,000 of SUVs around the world, including 18,700 in the United States.
Now Chrysler, having apparently determined that the brake problem on its sport utes is actually much bigger than it initially realized, has drastically broadened the scope of the recall. As a result, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for precisely 655,354 examples of the Grand Cherokee and Durango, covering the 2011 through 2014 model years. In addition, Chrysler is recalling 42,380 units in Canada, 21,376 in Mexico and 159,685 overseas.
The problem which Chrysler found revolves around the brake booster, whose center shell has been found to be subject to corrosion, allowing water to get into the brake system. That water in turn could freeze, preventing the brakes from working as well as expected.
