We are simply selling this van because our business has outgrown it.  This was a City of Farmville bus/van that was serviced every 3000 miles, we have serviced it every 3000 miles and changed oil and fluids regularly.  It used to seat 15, has the extended frame, heavy duty / frame and transmission. We removed the back 3 rows of seats and it now seats 4 (you can put lots of stuff in the back and we installed tie down points)

There are assorted small dents and dings, none of them affect use.  Huge cargo area in back, you can stand up - tie down points installed.  Has school bus type door latch.  AC needs vacuum valve or something like that - one of the two units may work but we are not sure - we don't allow workers to run it so never an issue but the person that sold it to us at auction offered to fix it but we just put it to work.  Love this van for its flexibility and power.  Thanks and please post any questions.

We are posting as a 10 day auction because that is the day we get our new vehicle... not available until June 14th but you can inspect/drive anytime in Fredericksburg VA.  We have title in hand and looking at what these sell for with this mileage we feel starting price is very fair.  This is a daily driver, working vehicle that we rely on.

If you bid please make sure you have $$ to pay - $500 due via paypal within 24 hrs of auction close - you must collect van within 7 days or you lose deposit.  No personal checks for balance of payment.

South Dakota dealer filled to brim with classic cars

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

Other than the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota isn't generally a hot topic, but that just means that cool stuff can hide in the open waiting to be discovered. Case in point: the classic car dealer Frankman Motor Company that operates three locations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Unearthed by the folks at Bring a Trailer, Frankman is a treasure trove of vintage, American iron. Their collection is full of the type of vehicles your irresponsible but cool uncle would show up with when you were a kid. Even better, these cars are priced at a level a working man can afford.
If you are lusting about a cruiser then Frankman has a 1956 Cadillac Deville Hard Top Sedan (pictured right) with 82,896 miles for $12,975. It's painted a color called Cascade Grey, but looks more like a pastel purple in pictures. While it needs some repairs to the accessories, the Caddy runs and drives, which is all you really need.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
