Runs very strong, has good brakes, good tires, a good spare, just bought new remanufactured battery, I've replaced the high pressure steering hose, voltage regulator, added a locking gas cap, and replaced the windshield wipers motor, and I replaced the starter June this year. The previous owner had the exhaust manifold done a couple of years ago a $1k repair. The van is 3 tones of tan with a brown stripe and green valour interior. The paint is fair to good condition, it has som nicks and some dull places. The  original curtains are still on the 3 larger windows, a luggage rack, trailor hitch, chrome visors over the the front windows, a medium tint, mud guards at the back tires, running boards, valour upholstered ceiling and walls. The interior is in fair to good condition there are some minir worn and stained areas and small minor holes in a few places. I had taken the bench seat out, but have the bolts to bolt it back in. It had to back bucket seats that I never had, you'd have to get those from a salvage if you want some. The black box on the back of the floor is the rear air conditioning unit it isn't removeable and is connected to the front air unit. The bench seat goes over the air unit.

Issues: 1*the oil sender line has a leak (I check the oil every week), 2*needs a muffler, 3*tail pipe has holes, 4*needs the tie rods replaced, 5*possibly will eventually need uv joints replaced; I sometimes hear a pop sound when I make a sharp/tight turn - 6*the gear shifter needle doesn't work, 7*the gas needle isn't accurate but does offer a little guidance of how much gas there is. I think it's a 4th to a 3rd inaccurate; it sometimes shows a little less than there is, sometimes a little more. i think it needs the floater needle replaced but am not sure. 8* The steering wheel is extremely stiff I was told by a shop the idler arms needed replacing and I had a private party put them on and it made the steering wheel steer right for less than a month and it's now right back very stiff. I don't know what he may have done wrong or what went wrong. The symptoms of needing idler arms is stiffness of the wheel and occasional vibrating when tight turns are made. 9*The rubber between the side and back doors needs replacing cause rain gets in only when it rains hard and I keep old curtains lined at both doorways to help absorb the rain. 10*The heat was never much warm, but blows warm enough to defog the windows during the rain and cold and the defrost will melt very thin ice. 11*The air use to work very cold when I got it, but isn't very cold now, and 12*the heat and air both now keeps chugging or quickly turning on and off- mechanic told me it needs freon the reason it does this on both the heat and air but this doesn't sound right to me, I don't know. 13*The fan has always lightly blown with the air and heat turned off, 14*also it has to be adjusted from heat to air manually under the(takes less than 10 secs) hood because the vaccum switch no longer changes from heat to air inside the van. 15*I've never got it a oil change or tune up. 16*Every once in awhile it'll idle high while driving and it will not go faster when it does this I'll ease up off the gas then reaccelerate and this makes it stop idling high. 17*The van is cold natured and has to warm up at least 2 mins even when hot out and a little longer when it's cold out, 18*also you have to pump the gas peddle 2-3x and hold it down for the van to crank and lightly hold the gas peddle down for 20-30 secs once it's started to keep it revved up. It runs strong without any dying problems once it's warmed up. 19*The previous owner took the cover off the horn, but it works and 20*the wires of the radio have to be connected and disconnected to operate the radio. 21*There is minor body damage to the back right corner of the bumper, on both sides of the back right tire and rounded dent on the left side door. Has some rust on the wheels and the back left tail light is cracked on the bottom, but the crack doesn't appear to be loose.

I bought the van in Lawton Oklahoma March last year and it's gotten numerous compliments. When I got it it hadn't been driven in about a year, but traveled nicely from Lawton to Oklahoma City (an hour and a half trip)for an old timer that had set a while. The previous owner says the lot changed the plugs and oil before he took it. I'm selling because I'd now like a smaller vehicle.A classic dodge van is getting hard to find in fairly good or good condition. The previous owner bought it from a Lawton car lot because it was wheelchair accessible and had a wheelchair lift in it. Many think this shag mobile is a little older than it is and it has generated a lot of compliments, it makes for a great movie prop, business prop, hunting, camping, or fishing vehicle, etc. Cool van to use as is with a little tlc or small restore project.

Dodge Charger and Challenger will live on, but a new Viper is unlikely

Tue, Jun 5 2018

BALOCCO, Italy — As FCA's latest five-year plan was presented last week, most of the day was focused on four brands — Jeep, Ram, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. That left a lot of people wondering about the future of the Chrysler, Fiat and Dodge nameplates. At the last five-year event, Dodge was one of the main features. We heard plans for an expanded lineup that included refreshed versions of the Viper, Challenger and Charger, the last two riding on the Alfa Romeo Giorgio platform. Times sure have changed. Dodge isn't going away, but the brand will be narrowed and focused. Performance is the name of the game, but don't look for a new Viper anytime soon. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne simply said it's "not in the plan." Marchionne thought it was a great idea but that it couldn't live on as a standalone product. If it does eventually return, expect it to share parts with other FCA products, possibly with one of the upcoming Maseratis. On the other hand, Marchionne confirmed that both the Dodge Challenger and Charger will continue to live on. In the last five-year plan, FCA said that the pair would share underpinnings with future Alfa Romeos. That was promising news for those hoping for smaller, lighter versions of each model that would be better suited to fight models like the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro. It seems the Alfa Romeo platform is off the table. Marchionne said the current LX platform would indeed live on, though it would be "unrecognizable" compared to what we have today. The LX architecture is ancient, and, although it's been continuously updated, its basic bones date back to the DaimlerChrysler days. Marchionne said that the Alfa platform just doesn't have the character American shoppers are looking for in those vehicles. It's unclear when the next iteration of the Charger and Challenger will arrive, but expect another refresh sometime before 2022. Look for an updated version of the tried-and-true Hemi V8. Rumors continue to swirl about a larger and more powerful 7.0-liter variant dubbed the Banshee, but we'll have to wait and see how that pans out. How Dodge dealers are earning the right to sell Hellcats

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

We all hate the idea of the dreaded dealer markup when it comes to buying a highly anticipated new car. Take the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, for example. You might spend hours reading about its supercharged V8 and speccing the model just right in the configurator, but when it finally comes down to laying down the cash, the dealer adds thousands of dollars as a "market adjustment" on the muscle machine of your dreams. As it turns out, when the Hellcat starts hitting showrooms in the third quarter, Dodge is trying to make sure that's not the case.
Dealer orders for the much-hyped Hellcat recently started, but Dodge boss Tim Kuniskis has put some special caveats in place to ensure that the Hellcat makes it to the road quickly. The initial allocation is based on the number of Dodge products that a showroom has sold in the last 180 days, and a second allotment in December is based on the last 90 days of sales and 30-day turnover. "You sell a lot of Darts for me, Journeys for me, Durangos for me, I'm going to give you the rights to this one, too, because this is a halo of the brand," said Kuniskis to Automotive News.
Furthermore, how quickly the Hellcat sells is also going to decide whether showrooms get more of them. "If you want to market-adjust the car, that's your right. But if your days-on-lot goes above what the other guys that are selling them at MSRP is, they will end up earning the allocation because their days-on-lot will be lower," he said to Automotive News. Obviously, this doesn't prevent dealers from marking up the Challenger SRT, but the strategy certainly discourages it.

Dodge Viper saved from crusher by students, but will it last?

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The saga of the Washington state community college hoping to keep its allegedly pre-production Dodge Viper out of the maw of the crusher is going strong. Not only does the school still have the car, but there's a chance that the college might even get to keep it.
The whole situation flared up in March when the South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA, received a notice from Chrysler Group that requested that the school's Viper be destroyed. The automaker had loaned the muscle car to it about a decade ago to use for educational purposes in its auto tech classes. With the Dodge growing long in the tooth, "it is unlikely that these vehicles offer any educational value to students," the company said in its press release on the matter.
However, the college balked at destroying its Viper, despite the fact it had signed a contract with Chrysler Group to do so. The school further claimed that its car was incredibly special because it was a pre-production example and just the fourth one made back in 1992. Although, as we pointed out at the time, the photos of the school's vehicle showed a coupe that looked like a newer Viper GTS.
