YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500 MEGA CAB SLT 4X4 5.9 CUMMINS DIESEL.  THIS TRUCK WAS A REPO FROM FIDELITY BANK.  THE TRUCK WILL BE SOLD TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN BECAUSE THE AUCTION DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO PUT A BATTERY CHARGER ON IT AND GET THE MILES.  IT HAS 179K MILES.  THE TRUCK HAS A CLEAN/CLEAR TITLE.  OBVIOUSLY THE TRUCK DOES NOT RUN, IT HAS PARTS THAT WERE INCLUDED WITH IT.  IF YOU DON'T SEE IT, I DON'T HAVE IT.  IT LOOKS LIKE A BEARING SPUN ON THE CRANK, I SUSPECT THAT IS WHY THE ENGINE IS OUT.  THE BLOCK LOOKS FINE.  THINGS I KNOW THE TRUCK DOESN'T HAVE IS A ENGINE HEAD AND A TRANSMISSION.  I'M SURE IT IS MISSING OTHER THINGS.  THE TRUCK HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REPAINTED, IT USE TO BE SILVER, NOW IT IS DARK GRAY.  THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB ON THE TRUCK, ITS NOT PERFECT, THEY DID THE JAMBS AND ALL.  THE TRUCK HAD DUALLY FENDERS ON IT AT SOME POINT, THEY CUT SECTIONS ON EACH SIDE FOR THEM TO FIT PROPERLY.  THEY ALSO DIDN'T PAINT UNDER THE FENDERS AND IT WAS SILVER.  WE TOOK SOME PAINT AND DID THE BEST WE COULD WITH IT.  IT LOOKS BETTER THAN IT DID.  THIS TRUCK WAS NOT A DUALLY, IT IS AN ORIGINAL SINGLE WHEEL TRUCK.  IT HAS A HOLE IN THE BED FROM A STACK, THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR IS BROKEN.  THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED.  IT DOESN'T HAVE A RADIO, IT HAS SMALL HOLE CUT IN THE DASH WHERE THEY HAD WIRES COMING OUT OF IT.  THE TAILGATE IS MISSING.  THE INTERIOR IS VERY CLEAN, NO HOLES OR STAINS IN THE SEATS.  IT HAS A 2012 2500 WHEELS ON IT, ONE OF THE TIRES IS MISMATCHED. THIS IS A SOUTHERN TRUCK!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.

On Aug-31-14 at 10:57:14 PDT, seller added the following information:

IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL AND LOOKING TO SHIP THE TRUCK, I WILL ASSIST YOUR TRANSPORTER IN LOADING IT.   I WILL LOAD THE PARTS INTO THE TRUCK, HOWEVER, THESE ARE ENGINE PARTS AND MIGHT GET THE INTERIOR DIRTY.  THE ENGINE BLOCK AND LARGER PARTS WOULD HAVE TO BE LOADED INTO THE BED.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR SHIPPER AWARE THE TRUCK DOES NOT RUN!!

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.

Dodge Challenger returns to Trans Am

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

NASCAR's Nationwide Series may have switched (in appearance anyway) to muscle cars, but American racing fans know that if they want to see real muscle cars on the street circuits, the only place to look is Trans Am. The all-American racing series is packed with Mustangs, Camaros and even Corvettes. The one thing it's been missing is the Dodge Challenger, but now SRT Motorsports has announced it's bringing its muscle car back where it belongs.
Rather than waiting until next year, the Miller Racing team is switching mid-season to the new Dodge Challenger SRT Trans Am racer you see here, just in time for this weekend's race at Mid-Ohio. And not just that - it's lined up a compelling pair of drivers to pilot it, as well.
The No. 11 car will be driven by Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall, a four-time series champion who's been off the grid since 2004. Backing him up in the No. 1 Challenger will be none other than Cameron Lawrence, the driver who has won five out of six races in the Chevy Camaro so far this season, losing out only once to American racing scion Adam Andretti.

Cars with the most reckless drivers are full of surprises

Wed, Oct 13 2021

Insurify is a site for comparing auto insurance quotes. Because insurance shoppers need to submit information like the vehicles they're driving and the infractions they've compiled while driving those vehicles, Insurify has quite the database of correlations tying certain models to a habit of breaking certain laws. When the site's data analysts decided to compile a list of the top ten models for reckless driving citations in the decade from 2010 to 2019, the ranking contained a few wild entries. The Dodge Challenger making the countdown will surprise precisely zero people. But the Saturn L200? First, a definition: USLegal.com defines reckless driving as "driving with a willful or wanton disregard for safety. It is the operation of an automobile under such circumstances and in such a manner as to show a willful or reckless disregard of consequences." So this list is a caution about particular drivers more than the cars. For a baseline, according to Insurify data, for any random model, 15 out of 10,000 people who drive that model have picked up one citation for reckless driving. Back to that Challenger, then. No shocker for being here, but it's actually number 10, with 44 out of 10,000 Challenger drivers nabbed for a willful disregard of consequences on the road. That's better than the first surprise entry, the Saturn L200, a sedan only on sale for six years, with the least horsepower on the list, and out of production since 2005. The data set put drivers of GM's extraterrestrial sedan at 45 reckless pilots per 10,000 drivers. There are two pickups on the list, the only modern one being the Ram 1500 at eighth, with a rate of 46 in 10,000. Somehow, drivers of the third-best-selling pickup in the U.S. outrun the overwhelming numerical superiority of the best-selling vehicle in the States, the Ford F-150. The other pickup is the Chevrolet K1500 at number five, with a rate of 56 in 10,000. This is not only the oldest vehicle on the list, it went out of production in 2002, before any other vehicle on the list. Between the trucks, the Volkswagen CC slotted in at seven with 47 in 10,000 reckless driving chits, the Cadillac ATS slipped into sixth with 48 in 10,000.  The top four is a bag of unexpected. The Nissan 370Z is the first hardcore sports car on the list at number four, with 61 in 10,000 Z drivers flaunting their Fairladys in the face of Johnny Law.
