<!--[if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->I am regretfully selling my prized standard cab dually because the addition of a woman in my life requires a crew or quad cab. This vehicle is perfect in every respect, except for a few minor cosmetic flaws which I discuss below. I am the third owner. The young man from whom I purchased the truck bought it when it had approximately 25,000 miles on it. He worked for an oil company on off-shore drilling platforms. Seems he had money to spend and time on his hands because he made substantial and expensive upgrades to the truck. For example, rather than the stock Gertrag 6 speed manual which Dodge started installing in 2006, he installed a brand new New Venture 6 speed, which is the same as the stronger Spicer transmission found in the 2004 and 2005 Dodge diesels. The truck also has the high end South Bend clutch kit, the FAAS fuel system, aluminum rims, Mag-Hytech front and rear differential covers, rear air bags, AFE Intake, ATF high rise turbo pipe, pyrometer and boost gauges, Bully Dog programer, radar detector, 5 “ exhaust system, B&W hide-a-ball, which I have never used, Fabtech 4” lift, all new generation (2008-2009) steering linkage, Fabtech steering stabilizer, steering box stabilizer and heavy duty OEM steering box, all for purposes of ensuring against “death wobble.” The truck has brand new Interstate batteries and new BF Goodrich radial T/A commercial grade tires. It does not have a leak or mark on the underside. The body is perfect, except for a few small stone chips on the hood and leading edges of the rear fenders which have beenor can be touched up. The interior is like new, except for the bolster on the driver’s side seat, which has some slight cracking; however, I have an OEM new leather seat bottom cover for it, but I have not had it installed as the original still looks good. The factory options include the Laramie package, posi-traction, factory Jake brake, power windows, power door locks, leather interior, cruise control, heated seats, adjustable pedals, Infinity sound system, with 6 CD changer, and so forth. It also has a Linex bed liner, overlaid by a rubber bed mat, and tubular, stainless steel running board. Whatever has been done to this truck has been professionally done. And, you would not know by looking at the inside or outside that the truck has almost 122,000 miles on it, all of which miles are highway miles. The truck has never been off road or used to tow much of anything. There are almost $20,000 in quality upgrades to this truck. You won’t be disappointed. I encourage any out of state buyer to have this vehicle inspected so there are no disappointments. Actually, an inspection will likely cause you to bid more for the truck.

Defiance Dodge Charger, saving Earth from aliens isn't clean work [w/video]
Fri, 08 Feb 2013You'll be forgiven for not having heard about the TV show Defiance - it actually hasn't aired its first episode yet. The new science fiction show about an alien war against Earth in the near future seems like a perfect fit for the SyFy channel, and, apparently one that Dodge saw as a slick marketing opportunity for its Charger sedan.
Here in Chicago, Dodge has given a large corner of its show stand to the Defiance Charger, a car that won't be skipped by any Mad Max fans in attendance at this year's show. The Charger boasts one hell of a gnarly patina under a confusingly welded cage of tube steel, as well as window bars, a grille guard in front, and big, knobby truck tires. There aren't any obvious guns or turrets on the outside of the vehicle, so we can only hope that the characters driving it go well-armed.
Look for the Charger to make its star turn in Defiance when the series premieres on SyFy on April 15 at 9:00 PM EST. Also, there's said to be a Defiance video game in the works, too, so you may get a chance to steer the burly Dodge for yourself. Find a trailer for the show, below, as well.
2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.
Somebody created a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon droptop
Mon, Jan 6 2020The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is a vehicle built with one purpose in mind: going fast down a drag strip. Weight is the enemy when it comes to acceleration, and one surefire way to add weight to a car is to make it into a convertible. However, that’s exactly what one Demon owner decided to do to their Challenger. Motor Authority spotted this Plum Crazy Demon convertible conversion for sale online, and the dealer and builder even spilled a few details on the car itself. This particular conversion was done by Droptop Customs, a shop with experience, having previously converted a couple Challengers into convertibles for Shaq in Miami. However, ripping the roof off the 840-horsepower Demon is no small task. ThatÂ’s a ridiculous amount of horsepower to handle for a car that has lost a fair amount of structural rigidity from removing the roof. The Droptop Customs sales manager told MA about the changes that were made to make this build work. To begin, the frame rails were reinforced with 1x2-inch pieces of metal. Then, the shop added diagonally-mounted metal braces underneath to resist twist. Even more structural supports were added to the trunk, front and rear shock towers, and gussets were added to the bottom of each door to keep them from moving. Lastly, the shop boxed the connection of the front rails to the engine cradle. No specifics about weight gain were provided. There is one sad bit of news about this Demon, though. The dealer told MA that itÂ’s currently on consignment, despite being listed for sale on FCA dealership Cape CoralÂ’s website. ItÂ’s priced at an eye-watering $145,995. But the new owner wonÂ’t have to manually put down the top! ThatÂ’s right, itÂ’s powered, and itÂ’s supposed to take about 20 seconds to lower or raise into place while stationary. Somehow, the car has only 172 miles on it, so itÂ’s hardly been used. We have no photos with the top up, so youÂ’ll have to settle for top-down photos for now. It looks like a professional job through and through, and we actually dig the convertible look. Plus, who doesnÂ’t love Plum Crazy?Â
