Up forsale is my 1993 Dodge Power Ram 250 Cummins turbo diesel. The truck has 210,456 miles on it with me only being the 3rd owner. The original engine had a bad injection pump, and was swapped for a 1996 with a P-7100 pump engine-(KDP done). The new engine only has 93k on it and runs beautifully. the transmission was rebuilt by jasper 34k ago and still holds strong. while the engine was out and transmission on my bench, the bands were adjusted, line pressure was turned up and a brand new BD diesel torque converter was installed. This truck has many new and performnace parts such as the new engine with 60# valve springs, 4k governer springs, #4 fuel plate, 0.22 delivery valves, 50hp injectors (ddp), 1/2 inch fuel lines to a brand new lift pump. billett borg warner s366 turbo, with a 4 inch exhaust behind it. The transfercase was rebuilt, with new seals and linkages for the 4wd and has been run about 50 miles since then with no isssues and 80w90 synchromesh oil. the truck sits on 16.5'' mickey thompson classic 2 wheels wrapped in 36'' military tires. The entire frame was stripped to bare metal and completely painted with CATERPILLAR paint, along with the axles and suspension. New rancho rs5000 shocks (replaced this week when bed was off) and also the under side of the bed was completely redone. the interior is 8/10 with mint seats and dashboard but the headliner is sagging and the carpet needs a good cleaning. the windsheild is being replaced before sale along with new wiper blades. New brakes all 4 corners (calipers, pads, rotors, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and wheel bearings). tires are about 85-95% tread. Power windows, power locks and mirrors work great like they should. The air conditioning worked before the motor swap but the new engine did not have a compressor on it so the a/c isnt there but everything you would need will be included (lines, receiver/dryer, condensor, etc) heat blows really hot and it has a new blower motor and heater core as of december. all powdercoated intercooler pipes, valve covers, and intake horn. All new intercooler boots, and fuel and oil filter were just done with all fluids being changed. This truck is my baby and i really do hate to see her go but i am moving to Ohio in July and i do not want to see it get torn apart from the rough winters. im sure im forgetting alot but if you have any questions please call james at 631-219-4726 texts also welcome!!

Junkyard Gem: 1981 Dodge Challenger
Fri, Aug 17 2018The first Dodge Challenger was an E-Body sibling to the 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda, and it was a pure Chrysler product with either Slant-6 or V8 power. Then stuff happened and the Challenger name went away for a while, returning in 1978 on a rebadged Mitsubishi Galant Lambda. For 1981, the Challenger got an updated body, and that's what we've got here in a Denver-area self-service wrecking yard. Chrysler was selling lots of Mitsubishis by the early 1980s, including the Colt econobox, the Dodge Ram 50 pickup, and the Plymouth Arrow truck. The Challenger's Plymouth-badged sibling was the Sapporo. This one had a bunch of late-1990s receipts from Los Angeles-area shops, and a check of the VIN on the California smog-check database shows that it last passed the Golden State's emissions test in 1997. Did it drive to Colorado 20 years ago and then sit until a few months ago? There is no easy way to know. Early Mitsubishi-built Challengers could be had with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, but in 1981 the only engine choice was the Astron 2.6 four-banger, rated at 105 horsepower. Members of the Astron 2.6 family powered everything from Dodge Aries-Ks to Mitsubishi Starions in North America, and production continued nearly into our current century for Chinese-market trucks. Not many miles on this car, and no rust. The Index of Effluency-winning team at the recent Colorado 24 Hours of Lemons race grabbed a few bits from this car for their somewhat related 1976 Plymouth Arrow, but otherwise it appears that this rare classic may go to the crusher more or less intact. It's a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe with decent power (for its era) and a 5-speed manual transmission, but there's just not much of a following in Colorado for these cars. I see the occasional Sapporo or Challenger during my junkyard travels, but the numbers have declined in recent years. Soon they will all be gone. This content is hosted by a third party. 1968 Dodge D200 'Lowliner' adds low-down diesel torque to a lowrider
Wed, Oct 30 2019When Mopar does a custom classic car, it's always spectacular, whether it's a Dodge muscle car like the 1,000-horsepower Super Charger or the monster Jeep Five-Quarter off-road pickup. For SEMA this year, Mopar skipped another Dodge sports coupe in favor of a 1968 Dodge D200 pickup truck done up as a lowrider, but with a twist. Or more accurately, with lots of twist. Under the gorgeous candy red metallic body is a 5.9-liter 24-valve Cummins turbodiesel straight-six. It makes an estimated 325 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque, and it's paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Representatives from Chrysler estimated the weight of the engine and transmission alone at 1,100 pounds. The diesel engine's power goes to the rear wheels, which are 22 inches in diameter and 11 inches wide with fat 325-mm tires. The front wheels are a tad narrower at 9.5 inches. 1968 Dodge D200 View 7 Photos As cool as the powertrain is, the exterior and the interior of the truck can't be ignored. This generation of Dodge pickup is already intriguing with its distinct character line with a little kink at the end and ribbed and louvered hood. These unique styling cues are accented now that Dodge removed various other details from the body such as the door handles, metallic trim and such. The bumpers were also reshaped to better fit the contours of the body, and the front wheels were pushed forward to reduce the long overhang of the stock truck. The bumpers, grille, and "smoothie" style alloy wheels were also painted in a solid cream color rather than chrome, which both accents the deep red body and gives the truck a more workmanlike feel, as low-trim cars typically had painted trim instead of chrome or stainless steel. The red paint also features subtle Cummins logos on the fenders and Dodge block lettering on the tailgate. The interior continues the simple and classy theme. The original bench seat remains, but with saddle brown leather upholstery. Leather trim has been added throughout, and exposed metal parts have been painted in the same color as the exterior. Simple gray cloth floor mats cover the bottom of the cab, and the instrument panel uses new Mopar gauges in a machine-turned metal housing. The original steering wheel remains, but a custom shifter with red Cummins shift knob sticks through the floor.
Everything is absurd in Fate of the Furious, including the car hacking
Fri, Mar 10 2017Truly ridiculous and absurd scenes and situations are a staple of the Fast and Furious series, And earlier trailers made it clear that Fate of the Furious wouldn't be any different as soon as the submarine appeared. However, it turns out the craziness has spread to the topic of car hacking. The hacker is Charlize Theron's character, Cipher, and she can apparently control any car in the world, and many of them at once. She uses this to great effect in creating giant rivers of rampaging automobiles through city streets, and waterfalls of cars flying off of parking structures. And if you look closely at these groups of vehicles, it is evident that she can even control older cars that have no automated steering or throttle capabilities whatsoever. We would ask how that works, but we know that's a silly question in the Fast and Furious universe. After all, this is the series that featured Dominic Toretto flying through the air over a freeway to catch Letty Ortiz and land on another car. And they survived. Your logic has no power here! We also noticed that Cipher seems to have a preference to hack vehicles from Fiat Chrysler. In the trailer, multiple Chrysler 300s, a Jeep Cherokee, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Dodge Challenger all get some prominent screen time when they're being hacked. We're not so sure this is good product placement for the brand, particularly considering this is the same company that recalled over a million vehicles to fix a software issue that could lead to hacking. Maybe this is the trade-off for having the Dodge Challenger Demon as a hero car. There's more to this trailer than Chryslers and hacking though. It turns out that Cipher has been following Toretto for a few movies now. Also, characters fly with jet packs, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character shoves a torpedo out of the way, on ice, while hanging out of a truck. Check it all out in the video above.
