1998 Dodge 2500 12v Cummins, 5-speed Manual, Quad Cab, Long-box, 4wd on 2040-cars
Golden, Colorado, United States
1998 Dodge 2500 12valve Cummins - Vin#:1B7KF23D2WJ108530 Reserve set at $7,500 I purchased this truck from a Denver dealer in 2005 with 165,000mi. It took me a year to find this specific model and I have not been disappointed. I do not know the owner history prior to my purchase. Currently the truck has 274,214mi and is in good shape, although like any truck with 275k, it is not pristine. However, I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere in the world from my doorstep without modification! It's a 12 valve! CONS: I thought I could repair the body work in the driver side rear quarter panel (hit in a parking lot years ago), but I thought wrong. It looks OK, but not professional. Rust on the bottom of
the passenger door - it's been there for years, but will need to be replaced at
some time. Always starts the first
time and runs great, but takes a couple of minutes till you can really get into
the power. (Especially in cold weather.) Small oil leak from
front of engine - cam seal? I went to get it fixed at Boulder Dodge 8
years ago and they said they would have to pull motor. Needless to say, I have put up with the leak - it's not big and you never need to add oil. As with many Dodge 12v 5-speeds,
it will occasionally pop out of 5th into neutral going down steep
hills. Easily goes back into gear and does not happen in any other gear.
Rarely occurs. Driver's leather seat
has been bad since I purchased it. I have a seat cover. CD player will play only
if you press down on the top of the CD once it's in the slot. Crack in windscreen. Other scratches, cracks,
dings on front, sides, topper..., but nothing major Passenger side
bed/topper has recent paint splatter that I haven't been able to rub off Do not have the
tailgate. I put the topper when I got the truck and haven't seen the
tailgate for years. Driver side seat back adjust lever is stripped - angle can be changed with vice
grips.
PROS/FEATURES: Starts easy, runs strong, handles well Dodge 2500 Laramie SLT - free and clear title 12 valve Quad cab Long bed 4wd 5-speed manual (with St.

1 Of 1 Dodge Viper looks a fabulous mess in Chicago
Fri, Feb 13 2015Earlier this year, we told you about the new Dodge Viper 1 Of 1 program, which offers buyers the chance to customize their supercars to the tune of some 25 million different combinations. With 8,000 paint colors, 24,000 hand-painted stripe patterns, 10 wheel options, and 16 interior trims to choose from, you'd be right to think that the possibilities for personalization are endless, and can probably get a little weird. That's kind of what's going on here in Chicago, with a Viper showcar that's definitely... unique. It doesn't really look bad, necessarily. It's just kind of strange. We call this color job, "Oh no, there are tiny paint cans falling from the sky, but I simply can't stop driving 200 miles per hour." And when it came time to spec wheels, it looks like FCA US said, "Aw heck, let's just use all of 'em." You'll definitely want to take a look at this unique creation, in the gallery above. And be sure to let us know if you think this Viper is hot or not, in Comments. Related Video:
Junkyard Gem: 1963 Dodge Dart two-door sedan
Mon, Mar 6 2017The 1963-1966 Dodge Dart, sibling to the Plymouth Valiant, was sturdy, cheap, and easy to drive, and it sold very well. Here's a worn-but-solid example of the two-door '63 Dart sedan, spotted in a Denver-area self-service wrecking yard. The only transmission choices for the Dart this year were a three-speed manual and an automatic controlled by Chrysler's famous dash-mounted pushbutton shifter. These shifters worked surprisingly well, even when used for road racing. Starting in the 1964 model year, the Dart could be purchased with a 273-cubic-inch V8 engine, but in 1963 Dart buyers had but two engine choices: a slant-6 displacing 170 cubic inches and good for 101 horsepower and a slant-6 displacing 225 cubic inches and making 145 horsepower. This car has the big engine. This is one of the most reliable engines to come out of Detroit, period. The interior is pretty beat, but the metal isn't rusty. You'd think that someone would have rescued this car long before it came to this sorry end, but perhaps Dart restorers only want numbers-matching V8 cars these days. 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye priced $14,000 below Demon
Mon, Jul 2 2018Steve Beahm, head of Passenger Car Brands at Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat, told Motor Trend that the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is "a Hellcat that's been possessed by a Demon." Turns out the Hellcat Redeye was also possessed by The Ghost of Great Deals. Dodge just released pricing for the Challenger line, the crimson-eyed terror at the top starting at $69,650, which is $13,645 less dear than the $83,295 MSRP for the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon. The asterisk: the Redeye needs the same $1,345 destination charge and $1,700 gas guzzler tax as the 2018 Demon, so the difference still holds once you get the Redeye off the dealer lot. The final tally: $72,995. Torque News acquired a copy of the Challenger dealer order guide, and options on the Hellcat Redeye will run you a little more than the bucket of $1 options on the Demon. Among the list, the summer performance tires add $695, the optional 3.09 rear axle adds $1,095, a painted black hood costs $1,995, and the Widebody package adds $6,000 for it's extra 3.5 inches. According to TN, you can run a standard Hellcat Redeye up to almost $90,000, and push a widebody to $95,000. The standard Challenger SRT Hellcat gets touched by the bargain bogeyman, too: the price goes down by $5,645 for 2019 to $58,650, even though it's been uprated by ten horsepower to 717 hp, and by six pound-feet to 656 lb-ft. Out-the-door price after a $1,700 gas guzzler tax and $1,345 destination fee is $61,695. Before including destination, there's a long way down to the next model, the 485-horsepower Challenger R/T Scat Pack at $38,995. Buyers who choose the six-speed manual for this trim will pay a $1,000 gas guzzler tax. The V6-powered, 305-hp Challenger GT in two-wheel drive starts at $29,995. Sending power to all four of the GT's wheels needs $32,995 before destination. The base model, two-wheel drive SXT gets the Challenger doors open at $27,295, the all-wheel drive model costing $30,295. Related Video:
