Here is your opportunity to own a low-mileage example of a legendary workhorse, the 12-valve Cummins turbodiesel.

This is a very well maintained truck that has never been abused. No gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch ever.

Truck is a single-cab, long bed, Laramie SLT model with tilt, cruise, windows, locks, leather seat. Door panels
and whole interior in excellent condition. Dash not cracked, which is unusual for a Dodge pickup of this age.

High-end Michelin tires have about 10K miles on them, they are excellent.

All power options work properly, including the A/C.

Cosmetically, truck looks pretty good, but it isn't new so don't expect it to be perfect. It has its share of
scratches and little dings from normal use. Certainly it looks far better than the average 17 year old truck.
It does have holes in the doors from those hideous towing mirrors with the arms that bolt to the doors.
I hate those things and replaced them immediately when I bought the truck, but i never got around to
having the holes fixed.

Truly the best part of the truck is the bulletproof Cummins 12-valve diesel, legendary for extreme longevity. I know
a guy in Dallas who has one with over 1 million miles on it and it's never been apart.  This one isn't even broken in
yet.

I just drove it on a 2500 mile road trip and got over 20 MPG running 80-85 most of the way.

Truck runs and drives beautifully. I have mixed feelings about selling it but I just don't need it anymore. Don't miss it....

NC dealer creates the convertible Challenger that Dodge won't build

Mon, Aug 5 2019

Dodge still hasn't turned the Challenger into a convertible, and the odds of seeing a factory-built drop-top muscle car appear in showrooms are decreasing annually. Tired of waiting, a dealership in North Carolina teamed up with a Florida-based body shop to create a topless alternative to the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. It's the real thing, and it's for sale. Keffer Dodge, Chrysler, Ram and Jeep shipped three 2019 Challengers to a shop named Convertible Builders, according to Motor Authority. After losing their lid, they gained a cloth soft top that opens and closes at the push of a button. There's no word on what effect the conversion has on handling, or what Convertible Builders did to offset the loss of structural rigidity. The build didn't include mechanical modifications. Two of the convertibles are R/T Scat Pack models equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that serves 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. It's not a supercharged Hellcat V8, but it's potent enough to spin the rear wheels in third gear. The third, R/T-based model features a 375-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8. While our dream build would use a six-speed manual transmission, all three come with an eight-speed automatic that sends the engine's power to the rear wheels. Keffer's website lists the gray, white, and red cars at $64,000, $60,000, and $56,300, respectively. The regular R/T Scat Pack Widebody model starts at $46,245, and the eight-speed automatic adds another $1,595, so the convertible conversion adds about $16,000. It's your only option, unless you're brave enough to chop the top yourself, or patient enough to wait until the early 2020s. Dodge has already started developing the next-generation Challenger, so the current car is unlikely to spawn a convertible before it retires. Its replacement due out in 2021 or 2022 will allegedly ride on a wider, longer evolution of the Giorgio platform found under the Alfa Romeo Giulia, among other models, and unverified rumors claim it's being designed with a topless variant in mind from the get-go. It might resurrect the Barracuda nameplate originally assigned to Plymouth when it makes its debut. Auto News Dodge Convertible Performance

2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
