You are viewing a nice example of a 1 owner 1974 Dodge D100 Power Wagon Custom, with 80,688 miles. This Dodge has a 360 V-8 with aluminum intake and 4 BBL carburetor. The Power Wagon has spent its entire life in the south, so the frame is super solid. The body is in good shape, as well, with only a few spots of rust noted in the bed area, as the pictures show. The truck was repainted sometime in the past, has a few scratches and dings, but, as you can see, has great patina and rugged stance!! The interior is clean with the original rubber flooring still in place. Other features include power steering and power front disc brakes. The engine starts quickly, runs quietly, and has plenty of power. The transmission shifts properly and the 205 divorced transfer case operates as designed. BFGoodrich All Terrain 32 X 12.50 radials are mounted on factory steel wheels. The truck has a custom made side tool box, as well as steel front and rear bumpers. An early production Warn M8274 winch is mounted up front and works flawlessly. Included in the auction is the factory chrome front bumper and dealer optioned rear steel bumper. As you know, it's getting harder to find unmolested Power Wagons in this shape. So, if this is your first adventure into 4X4s, or you're looking for nice example of an original '70s 4WD, then this 1 owner, 1974 Dodge D100 Power Wagon Custom is for you!! This auction can end with a phone call, so don't hesitate to contact me with any questions/offers at 205-639-8298. I'll be glad to get the winning bidder a shipping quote, if requested. |

Cruise Woodward Avenue with Autoblog's Dodge Challenger Hellcat
Thu, Aug 20 2015While Autoblog was consumed by coverage of the increasingly important Monterey Car Week last weekend, there was another big even going on. The Woodward Dream Cruise is significantly lighter in terms of news, but there's no denying that it's a far bigger, and far more egalitarian than what the wine-and-cheese crowd experience on the links at Pebble Beach. The Dream Cruise crams tens of thousands of cars and over a million spectators along a four-lane ribbon of asphalt between Ferndale and Pontiac, MI. What's remarkable aren't these numbers, though, so much as the distances they travel. Owners and admirers come from far and wide, across the United States and in some cases across the globe, to take in the spectacle. This year, local radio and television coverage featured fans that traveled from Japan, Australia, and Europe, just to take in the cruise. Of course, we realize that not everyone can make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue. With that fact in mind, we decided to bring a bit of the Dream Cruise to Autoblog with a time-lapse video of the cruise route. You can experience the good (a Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevrolet Chevelle, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442), the bad (the traffic jams), and the ugly (no, your 2003 Ford Focus does not qualify as a classic, get the hell out of the cruiser lanes). So join us, as we turn off 8 Mile Road behind the wheel of our 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and run north, through Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, and Bloomfield Hills, before ending up on Wide Track Drive in Pontiac.
Dodge Charger Hellcat makes 1,032 hp with Hennessey help
Fri, Feb 26 2016Sometimes you just want four doors. Earlier this week we brought you Hennessey's riff on the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Now comes the Charger. Much like its two-door sibling, the Charger gets boosted to as much as 1,032 hp and 987 lb-ft of torque (at the crank) thanks to the addition of a twin-turbocharging setup that works with the factory supercharger. The turbo headers and downpipes are stainless steel, and there is a high-flow air-to-water intercooler and dual-turbo waste gates. Hennessey also beefs up the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and the rest of the fuel system. The engine management system and chassis are recalibrated to accommodate all of this. You also get numbered plaques signed by John Hennessey, the boss of the Texas tuning outfit, and the technician who does your build. Hennessey's additions result in zero-to-60 mph sprints in 2.7 seconds, and the big sedan can run the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at 142 mph. Like the Challenger, the Charger has the same disclaimer: the lofty horsepower figure comes from an engine dyno, and it will be a 15-to 20-percent lower at the rear wheels. Help us decipher the cryptic license plate on the latest Dodge Demon teaser
Thu, Jan 26 2017If you've been following along, you know that the slow rollout of the Dodge Demon has been filled with hints and teasers of what's to come. Every release encourages fans to watch the videos over and over to try and catch any hidden info. Last week, brief a glimpse of the wheels in a video hinted at this week's reveal, 18x11 inch lightweight wheels wrapped in what the DOT barely considers street-legal rubber. Along with details on the custom Nitto tires, Dodge released an image of the Demon in all its wide-body glory. Planted on the back of the car is a cryptic Michigan license plate that reads #2567@35. It's obvious that this is another clue, but after a few hours of note taking, Google searches, and general discussion, we can't figure out what it means. We're throwing this out there in the hope that someone has better luck than we did. Here are some of the things we've ruled out: Address or coordinates 1/4 mile ET 1/4 mile trap speed Power Supercharger boost pressure Some event in 1982 A hint at gear or final drive ratio If you have some idea, post it in the comments.
