1978 Dodge Power Wagon Truck W150 4x4 440 Auto on 2040-cars

I'm selling my 1978 W-150 Power Wagon. It's a full time four wheel drive, auto, long bed, 440ci. It has Power Steering, Power Brakes, and A/C (not working). This is an extremely nice power wagon for its age. The paint is an 8 out of 10, interior is in decent shape and the undercarriage is very nice with no rust. The engine is very strong and sounds good with a mild cam. It has a fifth wheel ball hitch in the bed and is rhino lined. I've been driving this truck on the weekends and it runs great. Thanks and good luck bidding. On May-05-14 at 05:44:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to the number of questions on my truck, I have decided to post more information on the condition. Approx. 120k miles on the truck. The truck was painted and the engine was rebuilt approx. 10 years ago. It has about 10K miles on it since it was painted. The engine was built by the previous owner and he spent quite a bit on it. He said they put a mild cam, forged pistons, headers, etc. Steering is loose like an old truck and the windshield wipers don't work. (motor stopped working) As you can see in the picture, the truck is set up for dual tanks. The rear tank was removed when I got the truck, so there is only one tank in it now. Are you willing to work with one of the e-bay shippers ? Yes, I'll meet a shipper if needed. Title is clear, Paypal, Cashier check, or wire transfer preferred. More pics will be posted. Thanks On May-06-14 at 11:05:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I apologize for any confusion, but this truck is a W-200, 3/4 Ton. NOT a W-150 as stated previously. The truck has the original axles, trans, etc.. as far as I know. I have included pictures of the undercarriage and rear axle for reference. Thanks, |

2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.
How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.
2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats see doubled production
Mon, Jul 27 2015The launch of the Hellcat supercharged V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger for the 2015 model year was a massive success. The one-two punch of muscle cars probably grabbed the brand more headlines than it had seen in ages by offering a world-beating 707 horsepower from the growling engine under the hood. The only real wrench in the works was keeping up with all of the orders. For 2016, Dodge might have fixed that little problem with plans to make more than twice as many of these mean machines Despite production seeing a massive boost, a few customers with orders for 2015 examples will need to wait just a little longer to experience those 707 ponies. The automaker will cancel any unscheduled, sold orders for the current model, but those buyers will receive a discount on the 2016. Similar to last year, dealers will earn their allocation of the muscle cars based on Dodge sales and how long the Hellcats stay on their lots. There are some very tiny changes for any buyers who are holding out for the 2016 Hellcats, too. Mechanically, they are identical to the 2015s with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and eight-speed automatic. The interiors see some improvements, though. Both the Challenger and Charger now receive standard Laguna Leather upholstery and an improved 8.4-inch Uconnect system with navigation, an HD radio, and five years of SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic. Orders for both open in the second week of August, and production actually begins in September in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
