This is an auction for my 1962 Dodge M37 military 4x4 truck. The truck is in absolute excellent condition. Everything works including such small things as the vacuum windshield wipers and parking brake. The truck drives very well with no issues whatsoever. It tracks straight even at highway speeds. The brakes were COMPLETELY redone about 9 months ago with new brake lines and wheel cylinders and they now stop the big truck very well. The Tires on the truck have excellent tread on them. The rear passenger tire has some dry rot but not too bad. This summer I drove it in a parade with about 10 people in the back and the truck did STELLAR! The paint job, though not a professional one, looks very good. I am sure that if you are picky you could find issues with it, but overall the truck looks good enough to me to sit in a museum.
The bad: The brake pedal has a long travel because I need to bleed the brakes (all new lines have likely still have some air in them).
The passenger fender has some rust on it. I took it to a local body shop and they said it was an easy fix for only a few hundred dollars.
There is a oil leak coming from the engine. I've not tried to fix it. It could be a gasket on the oil pan I'm guessing. Its not bad enough that I've needed to address it.
A new gas tank was installed within the last year. However, I have not yet hooked up the fuel gauge to the tank. I do not have time to finish that so when you get it the gas gauge will read full at all times. (I like to think of that as a happy thought :)
This truck is an EXCELLENT example of a Dodge M37. It has only 33,000 original miles on it. According to its last owner, it started its life out at Fort Knox and was used sparingly (new model trucks came out in 1963) until the army donated it in the 1980's. It was donated to a rural volunteer fire department where it saw even less usage. The previous owner picked it up sometime after they got rid of it. The floor boards on this truck look to be original and have ZERO rust on them. The same can be said for the doors, the bed, the frame and everything else. The only exception is the passenger fender has a little bit of rust and you can see it in the pictures below. The winning bidder of this truck will be quite happy whether he wants to show it off or actually drive it. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have <>< Thanks and happy bidding.

MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Scroll down to watch a Throwback Thursday blast from the past about some of the '90s best sports cars.
Canada offloading hundreds of nearly new cars it bought for G7 Summit
Wed, Nov 7 2018Are you looking for a deal on a lightly used 2018 Chrysler 300C? Do you feel like purchasing several at a time? Do you feel like visiting Canada? If all of these apply, you might be able to catch a pretty decent bargain. The Canadian government is offloading Chryslers and hundreds of other cars it bought for the G7 Summit held in Quebec in the summer, and the cars can be had quite cheaply. Originally, over 600 brand new cars were bought to ferry summit guests around Quebec, some of them in motorcades, necessitating the choice of very official-looking black on black 300C models with tinted windows. The RCMP said it turned out to be more affordable to buy the vehicles than to rent or lease them, but it still didn't come cheap for Canada. The bulk purchase price of all the cars exceeded $23 million CAD, and just $6.3 million has been recouped so far through selling 167 vehicles, as narcity.com reports. And there are still a bunch of cars for sale, posted on the GCSurplus.ca website. Take a look at the aforementioned Chryslers that were put up for auction yesterday: There are multiple 300Cs on offer with the starting bid of $25,343 Canadian and barely over 1,000 miles on the clock; the purchase price of a new, Canadian-spec 300C without motorcade modifications is over $42,000. Chevrolet Suburbans are less cheap, as the minimum bid on them is $53,428, but they appear nicely loaded with similarly low mileage and 4WD. There are also bulk deals, like a five-car pack of police-specification Dodge Chargers for a combined $133,000 if you can get them for the minimum bid. Other, less interesting but unquestionably fully serviceable vehicles include Toyota Siennas (109 were originally bought), Ford Escapes, Mitsubishi Outlanders and Dodge Journeys.
