Regretfully selling my 93 Cummins Power Ram. Truck runs great and has had a ton of money and work done to it to get it on the road as a Daily Driver. As a student in college I just need something else due to the fact I commute almost 70 miles a day back and forth. I can assure you there is nothing else like a 1st gen Cummins, it is closest thing you can get into that feels like a rig that could pull the great wall of china out of the ground without buying a bobbed deuce. Off the top of my head here is some of the work I put into the truck (bought the truck mid summer so, everything on this list was put on within past few months so all parts on list are close to new) nothing has been half assed that I installed, only quality parts were used, as you can see:

-FTE Single CAT stack

-Custom Flo-Pro Exhaust from Turbo Back to fit new turbo (entire exhaust coated in 4 layers of POR-15 Hi-temp Velvet Black)

-NAPA water pump

-NAPA serpentine belt

-CUMMINS Thermostat

-New NAPA radiator hoses

-Custom Built radiator from JD at Built Tough Radiator (This truck is the first to have a BTR radiator) w/CUMMINS radiator Cap

-THEDIESELSITE Coolant filtration system custom fitted to work on this truck (it was made for a 98.5 truck)

-ABS deleted and new line ran from prop. valve back to rear brakes

-ISSPRO gauges (boost, EGT, Tach) installed, made to fit, wired into factory dimmer, all connections soldered and fused, and no bullshit crimps

-WARN Premium Locking Hubs on front

-NEW (no junkyard pieces here) front Chevy 1-Ton Hubs with all new Lug Studs with new TIMKEN bearings and seals

-NEW Chevy 1-ton brake discs

-Stage 8 Industries Dana 60 X-Lock kit installed (to replace troublesome spindle nuts that back off)

-HAWK Super Duty Truck Pads on front with NAPA hardware

-1,000 ft/lb rated South Bend Clutch and flywheel kit installed by reputable diesel shop, JG Parks & Son

-NAPA Rear Main Seal

-Rear brakes, bearings, seals checked out by shop

-OPTIMA redtop battery (in picture, replaced by huge Group 31 Deka Battery this past month from Pasco Battery)

-24 bolt HUMVEE Wheels shotpeened and then coated with 3 layers of POR 15 topped with 3 layers of POR 15 Hardnose Black

-3-inch Billet Aluminum Wheel Adapters all around

-Bed Attachment points installed for use of ratchet straps to lock down cargo

-TST Killer Dowel Pin Kit Installed

-NAPA Heater Core and NAPA evaporator coil (that was fun)

-MOPAR Door Seals

-CUMMINS Block Heater and heater cord from genos, just in time for winter

-MOPAR reproduction Steering Brace

-New MOOG ball joints

-Pro Comp ES9000 shocks all around

-Alternator from Pasco Battery

-4x4 Alignment performed on truck 8 February, 2013

-All Paint on floor removed inside cab and coated with POR 15 followed by POR 15 Truck Bed Liner (best idea for any truck period)

-All fluids in truck replaced with AMSOIL Fluids. AMSOIL diesel additive used every tank.

Parts installed by previous owner:

-P-Pump Swap

-HE351 Turbo

-4-inch leveling lift on front of truck for aggressive stance

Thats just what I can think off of the top of my head! I HAVE RECIEPTS FOR DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING.

NOW FOR THE BAD:
-Odometer/Speedometer do NOT work**
-instrument gauge cluster does not light up (but functions besides odo/speedo)
-Body has rust on drivers side front fender, rest of body is good
-Body itself has lots of dings/dents, some larger than others (picture of largest dent on hood (does not affect hood closing)
-Rust on frame is mostly surface rust as usual
-drivers side window has to be helped up, but does work
-some of the AC vents are gone and dash has a few tabs broken (you cant see this but since I've taken almost every part of the truck apart I figured I'd mention it)
-could use a new dipstick, it leaks some oil when driving on highway, nothing severe but previous owner broke handle slightly so it does not seal all the way
-tailgate handle does not work
-bench seat has a tear in it on drivers side from sliding in and out of truck
-engine does has some blowby, however I have been driving it every day since september and have never once had a problem the motor
-truck has no radio, previous owner installed radio in truck and I took it out it sounded horrible.  I am selling the truck with the radio and speakers he had installed in case you want to put them back in.
-Leaks from: passenger side rear wheel seal, transmission adapter plate, Vacuum Pump--rebuilt but still leaks, new pump from Ghould Industries $360 (not fast leaks, check on them periodically)
**Odometer no longer works and says 162,xxx. I bought truck with understanding it had 200k on body and a little less on 94 p-pump motor. Purchased it this past summer and started driving it in September so a little bit more now.

JUST TO CLARIFY.  THIS TRUCK IS NOT PERFECT.  IT IS BEING SOLD "AS IS".  IF YOU WANT A SHOW TRUCK, THIS IS NOT IT.  I bought and built the truck to be a fun reliable daily driver, and be able to park it in the parking garage without being able to cry at night if somebody carelessly knicked or swiped it.  It is built right, and was a labor of love for me, but never intended to win any show truck contests...ITS A REAL TRUCK.

Not looking scam anybody.  Simply need to sell my current 1st gen to buy a 2nd gen which would be much more tame for my commute.  If I had money to spare or another truck to drive I would simply keep truck and continue to build it, has lots of life and potential.

Feel free to email me with any questions.  READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION.  Most have been answered.  Otherwise just let me know.
Thank you and happy bidding.

On Feb-10-13 at 21:22:33 PST, seller added the following information:

-To add, from what I can see the truck was originally a red/gold two tone truck from the factory.  The red in the pictures is factory and the black paint the previous owner must have added himself, looks like spray paint.  Never bothered me, just wanted to clarify before I forgot.  Regardless, if one was to fix some of the bodywork truck would require respray anyhow.

Watch dual-engined Dodge SRT4 do a FWD burnout, a RWD burnout, then AWD launch

Wed, Dec 3 2014

There's something fantastically insane about racers who go out on their own and build something unique. Just take this crazy video from last year of a twin-engine Dodge SRT4 at a drag strip that can burn the rubber at either end – or both ends – at a moment's notice. With tires sticking out way past the fenders, a massive cooling system at the front and no back window to speak of, this Dodge is clearly meant solely for speed. Though it's real party trick is being able to spin the front or rear wheels independently. The setup makes for three quite showy burnouts. When it came time to actually get down the track, things got somewhat awkward. Like other twin-engine creations we've seen, the separate powertrains make for some odd sounds and a weird look launching down the strip. Still, there's no doubt that the engineering behind this Frankenstein is very impressive. Scroll down to see this monster in action and another of it in a very mismatched race last year. Gas prices down, 707-hp engine production up... USA!

Tue, Jun 30 2015

On Saturday, the United States of America will celebrate its 239th birthday. That means fireworks, barbecues, block parties, and, oh yeah, Hellcat engines and low fuel prices. The most American of (Mexican-built) powerplants, the big, loud, supercharged, 707-horsepower Hemi is slated for yet another production boost to match up with some serious demand, while the dino juice it runs on is cheaper than it's been in over half a decade. The Saltillo, Mexico engine factory already produces some 4,000 Hellcat engines each year – that's in addition to the Tigershark four-cylinder, the 5.7-liter Hemi, and 6.4-liter SRT Hemi V8s – and it's not entirely clear how many more might get added to that total. What we do know, though, is that Fiat Chrysler can't build the engines fast enough. "We're going to build more [Hellcats] for 2016," SRT boss Tim Kuniskis told Automotive News. "It's a small sliver of what we sell, but it really creates a halo for the rest of the lineup. For example, the next highest car, the Scat Pack Challenger, I have essentially a zero-day supply. It's sold out." This bit of good news comes on the back of something equally good – low summer gas prices. According to the US Energy Information Administration, the nationwide average for for "all formulations" of fuel in June sits at $2.885. Ignoring the remarkably low prices we saw in January and February of this year – figures that themselves hadn't been seen since May of 2009 – the national average hasn't sat that low since October 2010. So yes, it's a very a good time to be an American gearhead. Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction

Tue, Dec 15 2015

An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:
