We went and repainted the truck and redid the interior as well as tuned up the motor and replaced basically everything in the front end. We built the truck and have driven it about 100 miles to a few local shows. This truck is a head turner and you get lots of comments and thumbs up while driving.
All you need is a machine gun mount in the bed and you are all set for the Zombie Apocalypse.

Thanks for looking.

2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat gets a Challenger-style intake in the grille
Wed, May 9 2018Yesterday, we discovered that Dodge was working on some sort of update to the nose of the Charger Hellcat. Today, Dodge revealed what the change is. It's a new grille with an intake outlet. Basically, the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will have the equivalent of the Challenger Hellcat's intake headlight. But since there isn't a convenient light to cut a hole in, Dodge just put a bigger hole in the grille next to the driver's side headlight. Presumably it leads right to the intake box like the intake on the Challenger. Close examination also reveals that the mesh has changed, as well. The 2019 model's grille has a bit more detail, and the openings are more round than the current model. No other aspects of the updated model have been revealed, but those details should come when the car is fully revealed this summer, along with the new Challenger. 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?
It ain't easy keeping a Hellcat steady at 170 mph on ice
Mon, Mar 28 2016The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat you see hit the ice at Arsunda Speed Weekend in Sweden, over two hours north of Stockholm. It's said to be bone stock, save for the studded tires that help it grip on ice. But it apparently takes more than some steel studs and a lead foot to keep it pointed the right way. Just look at how much driver Alx Danielsson has to saw at the wheel to keep the Hellcat from veering off course. Fortunately he seems to have the chops to do so, being not only a native of Sweden (and therefor imbued from birth with otherworldly abilities to drive on ice) but also having won the highly competitive Formula Renault 3.5 Series championship back in 2006. In the end Danielsson hit a top speed in excess of 170 miles per hour, touted as some sort of record, however unofficial (and specific to Dodge Challengers). That's a fair bit shy of the 205 mph that Bentley achieved in the Continental Supersports, but while that model had slightly less power than the Hellcat, it did have the benefit of all-wheel drive – something that could make all the difference in these kinds of slippery conditions.
