This is a 1937 Dodge Pickup, Short bed 1/2 ton. Lots a room to play with, you can go all directions with this one. Rat Rod, Hot Rod, Traditional, Etc. There is lots of work to be done on this project but decent sheet metal. I know that its got a chevy front straight axle Disc brake set up in the front  missing the calipers. The rear end is a 55-59 Chevy six lug to match the front end. It looks like someone has cut down the frame to make it a short wheel frame, also did some front end frame boxing and added small block motor mounts. I have one driver side running board and not the passenger side. The bed has been shortened .Both front fenders have some rusting spots in the front lower section. The rear fenders, what I could tell that they have some bondo. No Grill !!!!The cab is in pretty good shape , along with the doors someone has cut on them to make it a suicide door truck, also with the exception that the floor has been patched and fire wall smoothed. The front lower sections will need some patching and cab corners. Like I said this is a Rat Rod project and will need some attention ! It is a hard truck to find in this year model. So good luck and your more than welcome to call me with any questions and offers off Ebay. Thanks Robert 479-466-1924

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.
