This is one of the few well built Dodge Neon SRT-4 cars.  The engine has been completely re-built internally using only the highest quality performance parts and OEM Mopar parts from dodge, not foreign parts from part stores.  It runs better than new, with a solid driving experience.  Engine is fine tuned and balanced and you can feel it as you accelerate, it also aids the efficiency, boosting the fuel economy to 35mpg.  Plenty of power to enjoy, this car is extremely fast.

All original parts come with the vehicle-- None are damaged.  These include:

  • Stock Clutch
  • Stock pistons, rods, and rings (they will not fit back into the car now because the engine block has been bored .020 larger)
  • Stock Flex Plate(part of old flywheel)
  • Stock Flywheel
  • Original Oil Pump(Still functional, but it is standard practice to replace when engine is rebuilt)
A list of Aftermarket parts used in rebuild:
  • Prothane solid motor and transmission mounts
  • ACT Performance clutch and Lightweight Flywheel
  • JE Pistons 8.5:1 Compression, .020 overbore
  • JE Performance Pistons Rings
  • Eagle Rods
  • Gates Racing Timing Belt
  • AEM Short Ram Intake
A list of OEM Mopar Parts used in rebuild:
  • OEM Clutch Pivot Fork(can wear out during lifetime of vehicle, replaced because it was taken apart anyways)
  • OEM Clutch Pivot Ball(can wear out and cause clutch to be hard to disengage and make shifting more difficult, replaced for same reason)
  • OEM Head Gasket Set(head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket)
  • OEM Cover Oil Inlet Seal(Oil pick-up tube o-ring)
  • OEM Oil Cooler o-ring
  • OEM Oil Pump
  • OEM Rear Main Seal
  • OEM Front Main Seal
  • OEM Main Bearing
  • OEM Rod Bearings
  • OEM Oil Pan Gasket
  • OEM Hydraulic Lash Adjusters
A few other things used:
  • Diablosport Predator and USB interface
  • WeatherTech Wind Guards for windows
  • Balance Shafts removed during build +20hp
During The Rebuild:
  • Receipts and certifications for all balancing of rods, pistons, flywheel, dampener pulley, crankshaft, and clutch.  Good for 7000rpm+.  Balanced within .1 gram.
  • Receipts for head machining
  • Receipts for all parts as well
Rebuilt Transmission due to a failure in 3rd gear synchro, old transmission comes with the car as well.

All-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT confirmed by EPA website

Thu, Oct 27 2016

The US Environmental Protection Agency accidentally confirmed the upcoming Dodge Challenger GT by posting fuel economy figures for the all-wheel-drive variant of the muscle car. According to FuelEconomy.gov, the Challenger GT, which will come with the 3.6-liter V6 when it's released, is rated to get 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway, giving the vehicle a combined rating of 21 miles per gallon. Those figures are slightly lower than the rear-wheel-drive Challenger with the same engine, which gets 19 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. While previous reports indicated that Dodge is planning to release the all-wheel-drive Challenger GT sometime in 2017, the automaker hasn't confirmed the vehicle. (Mopar's all-wheel-drive concept from last year's SEMA Show is pictured above.) With the EPA putting out the car's official fuel economy figures, the all-wheel-drive muscle car is definitely coming, and should be here before the entire Challenger lineup gets its expected redesign in 2018. And yes, we're still hopeful that the so-called Challenger ADR we saw in spy photos means we'll see all wheel drive and Hellcat power. Because Hellcat everything. Related Video:

Mopar teases a big Hemi crate engine for SEMA

Wed, Oct 24 2018

Mopar has released a new video teaser hinting at the release of a large and powerful crate Hemi engine at SEMA later this month in Las Vegas. The video functions like a lesson on symbolism in an English lit class. It opens with smoke and settles on a pair of backlit, large-clawed paw prints that look to be feline in origin. Then we hear earth-shaking pounding sounds of something larger than the paw prints that stomps over them. Then cue an overhead shot of what looks to be a vintage-model Dodge Charger and its growly Hemi engine entering the frame and then gunning the engine. Mopar already offers three crate Hemi V8 engines, topped by the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat, good for 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, found in the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and marketed for pre-1976 classic muscle cars. So promising that "Something big is coming" is really saying something. Could it be a crate version of the 808-hp Hemi 6.2 that was found in the Dodge Demon, which was rated at 840 hp on racing fuel? Or is it something different? Curiously, Mopar says its reveal is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the odd time of 4:26 p.m. Could that time be a reference to the 426 Hemi — and specifically the Generation III 426 Hemi "Elephant" that Chrysler made several years ago? That technically qualifies as "bigger," and it would also align with both the muscle car-era Charger and round, earth-shaking footprints shown in the video. Time will prove whether we were right. Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing

Tue, Nov 1 2016

Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. You can check it out here. Related Video:
