2006 Dodge Grand Caravan Sxt Mini Passenger Van 4-door 3.8l - All Options on 2040-cars
Redding, California, United States
This is a fantastic family vehicle with ALL of the bells and whistles. Heated seats, 6-Disk CD/DVD, Rear Entertainment System, Stow-and-Go seating, Sunroof, Power doors & liftgate, Leather seats, Rear captain's seating, etc... The perfect way to drive your family in style. We have had this van since it was brand new in 2006 (single owner) and have loved it ever since. We've never had any major problems with it and it has always run fantastically. The only reason we're selling it is because we recently adopted four children and with seven seats it was just no longer big enough for our newly expanded family of eight (we expanded to a full sized Mercedes Sprinter van).
It is a high mileage vehicle, but you will be hard pressed to find another van that has been taken care of like this one, all of the regular maintenance has been done (we have maintenance records) and everything is in very good condition. We had it checked out again before listing it just to insure there was no work that needed to be done and the mechanic said it's in great shape, only thing needed was a new battery (which we had him replace). Please message us with any questions. 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Deluxe Leather Package
This van is really fully loaded for your comfort and enjoyment. It is also probably the best designed/layed out family vehicle I've ever seen. The stow-and-go seating make this ideal for a vehicle that can carry LOTS of stuff, be used for business or recreational purposes, and be an efficient people mover. This car has always been kept in the garage and babied as part of our family. We hope that you will love it as much as we have. |

Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]
Wed, 23 Oct 2013In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.

Dodge Charger Widebody is rumored on its way for 2020
Mon, Feb 4 2019Grab all the salt you have, save the amount you need for your recommended daily allowance. Mopar Insider reports its sources as having confirmed Dodge will unveil a Charger Widebody for the 2020 model year, in SRT Hellcat and R/T Scat Pack trims. Such a move would copy the trim and aesthetic formula used — to excellent affect — on the Dodge Challenger. The Charger widebodies would get also get unique suspension tuning, and the same 305/35 ZR 20 Pirellis as on the Challenger widebodies, but wrapped around unique, dual-five-spoke designs that are 11 inches wide. There has been talk of a widebody Charger for at least two years, many of those conversations carried out in the same way sleuths parse grainy photos of monsters. In April 2017, Instagram user gtpprix caught a standard Dodge Charger wearing Challenger widebody wheels, spaced so that the rubber extended beyond the fenders. A month later, a YouTube account in the name of Sinister Life caught the same car on video. The license plate doesn't appear to be from Michigan, which is where almost all Dodge prototypes get licensed. On the other hand, early spy shots of Challenger widebody prototypes from 2016 featured this same setup — a normal version with protruding tires. The SRT CEO at the time, Tim Kuniskis, joked about testing the Challenger widebody openly, knowing everyone would think it was a prototype Demon. According to Mopar Insider, engines and outputs won't change on the Charger widebody versions. That means sticking with the 485-horsepower, 6.4-liter V8 in the R/T Scat Pack, and the 717-hp, 6.2-liter V8 in the Charger Hellcat. Looks would change, however, with new front and rear fascias to differentiate the model and cohere with the new lines. That includes a new dual-snorkel hood grille and repositioned intakes, plus tweaked side sills. If it's really on the way, we should know this summer. Such a model would also support recent comments from Steve Beahm, head of Dodge, Fiat, and Chrysler brands, when Automobile asked about how the company will maintain any momentum in difficult days for sedans. Beahm said, "[Our] our job was to [ask,] 'How do we differentiate within the brands that are going to remain passenger-car brands?' ... What we do is we try to make our vehicles look different."
