The paint has a beautiful and excellent Y-6 gold metal flake finish, but the car does have 2 small paint chips just behind the passenger door; one about the size of a pencil eraser and the other about the size of a pencil tip. The interior is exceptionally clean, but it does have a small tear in the seam; about 2 inches long; on the back of the drivers seat. Both are repairable and photos are attached. Speedometer needs to be calibrated to the 4-10 differential. Small but noticeable deterioration on the vinyl roof."

Extremely clean, rust free 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger. 340 Six Pak / Purple People Eater Cam / Fresh Automatic 727 Torqueflight with heavy duty Red Line parts build.  The Six Pak carb's are perfectly tuned to a well balanced drive train.  New BFG rubber.  I have owned this car for 11 years and am reluctantly selling it to make room for a new purchase.  Without going into all of the detail, I will let the photos show the exemplary quality of this vintage, 39 year old classic.  To the best of my knowledge, this is a rust free car which has never had any bondo or panel replacement work. That in itself speaks for the value of this car.

For Dart lovers, this car is reliable, quick and very well maintained.

I want to point out 4 minor, but easily repairable flaws:  2 small paint chips behind the passenger door; one +/- the size of a pencil eraser, the other +/- the size of a pencil head.  The speedometer needs to be calibrated to the 4-10 differential.  A +/- 2" tear in the seam of the drivers seat.  Small but noticeable deterioration on the vinyl roof.  All items listed are easily repairable.  See in the attached photos.

This is not a numbers matching car but it is an extremely clean Dart and is priced accordingly.

This car is sold as is, where is, with no warranty stated nor implied.

Good luck on bidding.

Stellantis wants to trim 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs, UAW says

Wed, Apr 26 2023

WASHINGTON — Chrysler-parent Stellantis NV wants to cut approximately 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs and is offering voluntary exit packages, according to a United Auto Workers union letter made public Tuesday. The automaker is looking to reduce its hourly workforce offering incentive packages that include $50,000 payments for workers hired before 2007, UAW Local 1264 said in a letter dated Monday posted on its Facebook page. Stellantis spokeswoman Jodi Tinson declined to comment. A person briefed on the matter said the figure might be lower than the figure cited in the UAW letter. In late February, Stellantis indefinitely halted operations at an assembly plant in Illinois, citing rising costs of electric vehicle production. The action impacted about 1,350 workers at the Belvidere, Illinois, plant that built the Jeep Cherokee SUV and resulted in indefinite layoffs. The automaker has warned it may not resume operations as it considers other options. The UAW letter said openings created by workers leaving would be filled by workers on indefinite layoff. Stellantis said in February that about 40,000 U.S. hourly workers were eligible for profit sharing. Last week, UAW President Shawn Fain said Stellantis' decision to idle the Illinois plant was "a flat-out violation" of the union's contract with the UAW and is unacceptable. The UAW will enter talks with the Detroit Three before labor contracts expire in mid-September. Earlier this month, General Motors said about 5,000 salaried workers accepted buyouts to leave the automaker. GM CEO Mary Barra said February job cuts of a few hundred jobs and the 5,000 buyouts "provided approximately $1 billion towards" a $2 billion cost cutting target. Ford Motor Co recently announced significant job cuts in Spain, Germany and other parts of Europe and in August said it would cut a total of 3,000 salaried and contract jobs, mostly in North America and India. Dodge launches 1 of 1 Viper configurator

Fri, Apr 17 2015

Get comfortable because you might be spending a good chunk of time in front of the computer on this. The configurator for the 2015 Dodge Viper GTC 1 of 1 is now online, and it's a ton of fun to play around with. Mechanically, the GTC is just like every current Viper with a 645-horsepower, 8.4-liter V10. But for the special editions Dodge lets buyers tinker with practically everything aesthetic thing. For the exterior alone, the choices include some 8,000 available body colors, two stripe styles in innumerable shades, two hood designs and various brake caliper hues. Plus, there are 16 upholstery colors inside, and options like red seat belts and carbon fiber trim. Dodge reckons there are over 25 million possible combinations, and the models are available to customers on a first-come-first serve basis for each model year. Although, two people wanting identical cars seems pretty unlikely. The configurator is a beauty too. It makes all of these myriad options extremely easy to pick from, and there are even four resolution settings to see your creation in the best possible way. Prices for the GTC start at $94,995 and deliveries are set to start in the second quarter of the year. Although, even if you have no intention of buying one, specifying these custom coupes is still highly entertaining.

Junkyard Gem: 1976 Dodge D100, United States Army Edition

Sat, Jan 26 2019

Members of the United States military have been driving Dodge trucks since the Army bought its first Dodge Brothers ambulance in 1917, and plenty of third-generation D-series pickups ended up in Army service during the mid-1970s. Most of these were 3/4-ton W200s and D200s (designated as M880s), but today's Junkyard Gem is a 1/2-ton D100 CARGO PICKUP W/CAB, found in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. Eventually, the Army auctions off old vehicles, and that happened to this battered D100 Custom at some point. This truck appears to have started life with Navy gray paint, which was painted over in Army-grade olive drab. Perhaps there was some vehicle-shuffling done by the Pentagon. The most recent layer of stickers shows that this truck's final military job was for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Power came from the legendary Chrysler Slant-6, in this case the 225-cubic-inch version rated at 105 horsepower. Like most fleet vehicles of the last 50 or so years, it has an automatic transmission. You couldn't expect every soldier to be able to work a three-pedal truck, not even way back in 1976. The Rust Monster has taken a few bites out of this truck, enough that its resale value converged with the current price of scrap vehicles. This content is hosted by a third party.
