I am selling my 72 Dodge Demon. It is originally a /6 car. Right now it has no engine or transmission in it. I am including a 1971 vintage 340 along with the car. The engine is complete from pan to carb although it probably needs to be gone through. It even has the exhaust manifolds. I picked up the engine in trade and the previous owner told me it was running good when it was pulled but judging by the looks of it, that was a long time ago. I would say it will need a rebuild. Has J-heads, steel crank, both exhaust manifolds, factory intake manifold along with a thermoquad carb. The carb looks like it is from a 1975 440 so it is not original to the motor. The motor was cast 6-30-70 and was assembled around December 4th, 1970 so it is a 1971 model. The engine spins freely by hand. I have a bunch of new parts for it including: New AMD Trunk Floor list price $329.95 New AMD Full OE Style Floor Pan list price $449.95 New AMD Gas Tank list price $229.95 new gas sending unit list $69.95 new AMD gas tank straps list $59.95 pair of new AMD lower door hings list $89.95 each - already installed new AMD battery tray list $32.95 new AMD front bumper - list price $329.95 new Schumacher /6 to 340/360 engine mounts $159.00 The new parts list for over $1600 alone. I have done a bunch of body work on the car already as you can see in the pictures but it needs more. The front floors need to be repaired/replaced but I am including the full floor pan to do it. It really does not need the full floor pan, so you could always sell it and just put the front patch pans in and save time and money. The trunk floor needs to be replaced and is included as stated above. I have already replaced the deck lid (cost $200) and passenger door (cost $150) with nice clean used units. Interior is missing the front bench seat but I have a set of 2010 Camaro seats (worth $400) that i was planning on putting in it. Rear seat is in good condition. Dash pad is cracked. Additionally, I am including an 8-3/4" rear end, 3.23 center section (needs rebuild), and axles from a B-body (worth $500) that has previously been modified to fit under an a-body Mopar. I will install the rear axles and roller wheels & tires once the car sells. Sorry but the dolly is NOT included Between the 340, seats, rear end, and all of the new parts, (cost approx $3009) you are basically getting a free car! How can you beat that! PLEASE DO NOT HIT BUY IT NOW UNLESS YOU REALLY MEAN TO BUY THE CAR - TOO MANY BOZOS DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THIS NOWADAYS! I reserve the right to end the auction early as I have it for sale locally as well as elsewhere on the internet

Dodge Hellcat Widebody delivers Christmas tree at 174 mph
Thu, Dec 21 2017The holidays are here, and so last-minute shoppers are going to be in a serious rush to get all the items they need, especially Christmas shoppers that haven't even put up a tree yet. Those seriously late folks may want to invest in a Challenger Hellcat because apparently they can go an incredible 174 mph with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof. This was discovered by the folks at Hennessey. They got a Hellcat Widebody from Dodge for the little experiment, along with a suction cup mount roof rack from SeaSucker and a real Christmas tree from Lowe's. Then it was off to the Continental Tire test track in Texas to see how fast it could go, which, as mentioned was 174 mph. As you'll see in the video, it takes quite a bit of road to move up from 170 to 174 mph. It's impressive that the tree and roof rack don't seem to budge. And it's all capped off with a huge smokey burnout to the sound of V8 rumble and supercharger whine. It's a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. And we'll look forward to next year when maybe Dodge will give Hennessey a Demon to try out. Related Video:
Mopar teases four of 'nearly 20' SEMA Show concepts
Fri, Oct 23 2015Yesterday it was Chevrolet. Today, Mopar has dropped some SEMA knowledge, releasing a quartet of teaser images that give us some indication of what kind of cars, trucks, and crossovers Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will be showing in Las Vegas. Like Chevy, Mopar's concepts utilize both production and concept accessories, although Fiat Chrysler has gone a bit more indepth on at least one of its concepts. Immediately, the most tantalizing teaser is the one shown above. Yes, that's the back of a Challenger, and aside from the bright orange accents on the gray body, you should take notice of the badge mounted on the spoiler – yes, that says "GT AWD." To be honest, such a vehicle wouldn't be a huge shock, as both the Challenger's LX platform-mates, the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, are offered with all-wheel-drive options. Still, adding such a vehicle to the production cycle would give Dodge a leg up on the rear-drive only Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Aside from that concept, FCA has also released teasers of a Ram-based concept, a 300-based concept, and what we're guessing is a Fiat 500X. We can't wait to see what the actual Fiat concept has to do with kiteboarding. As for the 300 and Ram, there's not a lot of hints on what sort of styling details they'll contain. The Chrysler has additional LED accents and what we're guessing is matte blue paint, while the Ram is based on a Hemi-powered 1500 with Rebel styling cues. This is just a very tiny sample of Mopar's final SEMA roster, which include "hundreds" of parts. There should also be a total of 20 vehicles covering all four former Chrysler Group brands, as well as Fiat. Naturally, we'll have plenty to report on each vehicle once the SEMA show kicks off in the next couple weeks.
2020 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak comes solely with supercharged power
Wed, Nov 6 2019The Dodge Challenger Drag Pak has returned for 2020, five years after the last one arrived, and two years after it began development. And while in many ways it looks like past Drag Paks, there are a number of tweaks that should make this the fastest and most capable factory drag car yet from Mopar. Unlike the last model, only a supercharged 354-cubic-inch (5.8-liter for the imperically challenged) V8 is available. Mopar says it's more powerful than its predecessor, though exact horsepower wasn't given. It did confirm that the previous car was capable of a stunning 1,200 horsepower. The engine is coupled solely to a three-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifter. 2020 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak View 17 Photos Supporting the massive engine are many chassis, suspension and driveline enhancements. The independent rear suspension and axles are gone in favor of a solid axle from Strange and a four-link suspension. The front remains stock except for double-adjustable Bilstein shocks. The engine is mounted to a subframe member that's beneficial both to weight distribution and center of gravity. The car gets high-performance brakes and custom Weld Racing wheels with "DRAGPAK" engraved on them. The interior features a welded-in roll cage certified for quarter-mile times as quick as 7.5 seconds. Helping keep the car planted without increasing drag too much are front and rear spoilers from the road-going Challenger, a new addition compared with the previous car. Every Drag Pak car also comes standard with a wheelie bar and parachute. Dodge will only build 50 of these cars, and they'll only be offered as race cars that aren't legal for the street. The cars will be eligible for competing in sportsman classes in NHRA and NMCA drag racing series. Pricing and availability hasn't been set yet, but will be revealed sometime next year.
