 A 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger.
Before I begin this is originally a slant 6 car, but has been converted to a small block car. This is no numbers matching car. Current state of the car is not drivable for testing.

I've owned it for nearly 10 years. Pasted down from my father. Over the years I have invested a lot of money into the car. well over $25k invested. I simple have grown tired of the project. This is a great opportunity for someone to get started with a 90% finished car. Car has gone through many changes over the years. A few weeks back a slight fire melted the main wiring harness in engine bay and cause to slight paint damage to two small spots on hood. So car doesn't currently start, but don't let that deter you. It is an easy fix. I have purchased the parts to fix. Posting car as is now because I afraid I will not want to sell after its fixed. Car is in overall great shape. It does have paint flaws and minor rust in rear quarter panels. Easily fixable. A fuel cell install was last project still needs minor finishing details to complete. Interior is all original and in great shape.

Completely new motor assembled by Charlie's Speed Machine in Blair NE. currently has about 200miles on it. I finally had enough break in time to test it out a week before the fire. The car runs great and is very fast. Before this 408 install the car had 340 on nitrous that ran low 12's. I can tell this 408 motor has more power than that ever had.

Car is Located in Omaha Ne, Pickup only. will not ship. Buyer is responsible for pickup and travel

Chrysler almost smothered the Hellcat before it lived

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Chrysler's 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 was an absolute sensation from the very moment it was announced, and honestly, how could it not have been? Packing 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, its numbers immediately put every other production muscle car (and many supercars) to shame. Plus, we soon learned that would be wrapped in a package retailing for around $60,000 - a pittance compared to other vehicles offering similar grunt. However, the Hellcat almost never got the chance to rumble under the hood of the Challenger and Charger.
The Hellcat was initially proposed back in 2011, back when Fiat was deciding its future strategy for Chrysler Group, according to Automotive News. At the time, the company was just emerging from its bankruptcy doldrums, and an ultra-high-performance V8 wasn't exactly a must-have item. The program didn't move forward. However, SRT engineers kept fighting, according to AN, and four months later, they received the green light to pull the project off the shelf and continue developing the Hellcat. The muscle car world is certainly better for that decision.
The work of those engineers focused on taking Chrysler's standard 6.2-liter V8 and making it reliably handle all of the extra power from the supercharger. "It came down to micron levels of changes in the crank to be able to withstand the pressures of the engine," said Chris Cowland, director of advanced and SRT powertrain, to Automotive News. The changes amounted to switching out about 91 percent of the parts to make the Hellcat, including some quite minuscule alterations. For example, the washer holding the supercharger pulley is embedded with industrial diamonds to keep it from slipping.

Dodge Charger SRT Widebody spied filming a commercial

Mon, Apr 22 2019

The voice you hear in the video just below appears to be from Instagram user eviil_srt, and as you can tell, he's quite the Mopar superfan. Thing is, the car you see in that video appears worthy of such a fan's adoration. It's clearly a Dodge Charger Widebody, a vehicle that we've been anxiously awaiting ever since it was revealed in prototype form by Mark Trostle, head of design for Dodge and SRT, at Spring Fest 14. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Actually, we've been seeing hints of the wide Charger far longer than that – it was spotted testing on public roads before its officialish debut, and even prior to that, the car's rumored existence had the Internet rumbling with the force of a 700-plus-horsepower supercharged Hemi V8 for months. All that preamble brings us back to the present and the aforementioned Instagram post, in which this upcoming production Widebody was spotted presumably filming for an official television commercial debut. Note the body-color license plate on the Charger Widebody in the video, which indicates it's probably being used for an official purpose by Dodge. It's a short clip, but just long enough that we can clearly make out a big rear wing, vented bumper cover, and deep diffuser punctuated by large dual exhaust tips. We also see some extremely wide tires front and rear, which makes sense considering that there's very likely a whole corral's worth of ponies underhood. The current Dodge Challenger Widebody style is offered on the 485-horsepower R/T Scat Pack trim level, the SRT Hellcat trim level that bumps horsepower all the way to 717, and, for buyers who really hate their rear tires, the 797-hp Hellcat Redeye trim level. Dodge hasn't yet extended the excessively powerful Redeye engine to the Charger line, but the other two levels seem likely. And who knows – the Widebody's introduction might be the perfect opportunity to build a Charger Redeye. In any case, the fact that Dodge is filming commercials indicates that we won't have to wait much longer to find out for sure.

2018 Dodge Charger Pursuit ambush prevention system enhanced to protect cops

Mon, Jul 24 2017

For the 2018 model year, Dodge has rolled out some minor but useful updates to the Charger Pursuit police car. It now features a larger infotainment screen standard. It moves from 5 inches to 7 inches. But if police departments wish, they can opt for a massive 12-inch touchscreen that can replace a cumbersome laptop computer. The new standard 7-inch screen will also be handy for using the now standard rear-view camera, as well as the "Officer Protection Package," which is a no-cost option. This package, like last year, uses the rear-view camera and parking sensors to monitor whether someone is approaching behind the car. It's main use is preventing ambushes. When something is detected, an audible alert is sounded, and the camera sends video to the screen for the officer to see what's behind the car. It can also trigger the lights to go on, the doors to lock, and the windows to roll up. Selecting the "Officer Protection Package" also adds the "Fleet Safety Group," a new feature for the Charger Pursuit. This group of options adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Finally, a new color "IndiGo Blue," will be offered. It joins an array of factory and police-only colors for the Charger Pursuit. Interestingly, a Charger Pursuit can also be had in very bright colors such as "Go Mango" orange, and "TorRed" red. Related Video:
