Hello everyone. I have a 2001 dodge dokata 4.7L V8 4x4 club/ext cab Sport package up for sale. This truck has 158,000 miles on it. I've only put on 3,000 miles on it since I've owned it. Mechanically the truck is a dream, all the maintenance is up-to-date. Since I've owned the truck i put a new battery in, brakes/calipers/adjusters etc from a certified shop. I have all the paper work from the repairs (came out to $1000.00 for everything). I've gotten multiple thumbs up on this truck. There's no squeeks/grinding/wobble noises or feel on this truck whatsoever, still runs and drives like new. No check engine/oil lights are on. No leaks, smoke, or hops when shifting. The steering is very nice on this truck, feels like your steering a car. Theres no play in the steering or cranking from the power steering. The 4x4 switches right on the fly and can go anywhere. I have relatively new tires on the truck (90% tread left) Full tire and rim underneath the truck. Also, the AC works with no problem. Im a proud owner of this truck and I "baby" all my machines. The truck has a few options: -auto trans (shifts smooth, no hops or hesitation) -4.7L V8 -power windows -power locks -tilt steering -4x4 on the fly -cruise control -in channel vent shades -cassette player (have ipod attachment to play music from your device) -rear sliding window -bucket seats -center console -bedliner The great part about this truck is that theres little to no rust or bubbles!! This truck needs no mechanical attention. Also the paint is in beautiful shape still shines like a brand new car. But there are tiny scratches and dimples on any normal 12yr old vehicle, but everything is in beautiful and working order. If you have any questions or want to come/drive the truck with you and your friend or mechanic give me a call. James 973-908-2348 |

All hail the Hellephant, Mopar's 1,000-horsepower crate engine
Wed, Oct 31 2018It's shocking to say this, but the all-powerful Dodge Demon looks weak now that Mopar has unleashed the Hellephant. This crate motor makes 1,000 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque, and its name is a combination of the nickname for the old 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8 and, obviously, the Hellcat. This monster is a 426-cubic-inch version of the current third-generation Hemi V8 topped by a supercharger similar to what the Hellcat line packs. Everything is cranked up to — or perhaps, past — 11. The engine block is made of aluminum and weighs 100 pounds less than the equivalent iron block. All of the internals are forged. The stroke and bore have been increased. The supercharger produces 15 pounds of boost and displaces 3 liters; more than the 2.7-liter blower on the Demon and the 2.4-liter blower on the Hellcat. And as big and powerful as it is, it will still rev to 7,000 rpm. It's a thoroughly monstrous motor, but shockingly, it won't be that difficult to live with. For one thing, Mopar will offer a complete kit to get the engine up and running, including an engine computer, wiring harness and drive-by-wire throttle. It also runs on 93-octane pump gas. That's especially amazing considering the Demon engine "only" makes 840 horsepower, and that's on race gas with 100+ octane fuel. It also has us wondering what the Hellephant could make on racing fuel. The Mopar folks did say that there's room to add more power. Pricing wasn't announced for the Hellephant engine. The Hellcat crate engine retails at $19,350 directly from Mopar, so it's safe to assume that the Hellephant will go for more. The installation kit with the computer and harness will be an extra charge of likely over $2,000, based on the Hellcat kit. The engine and the kit will be available in the first quarter of 2019. Junkyard Gem: 1988 Dodge Diplomat Salon
Sun, Jan 29 2017Except for the Viper, Prowler, and some Mitsubishi-derived AWD machines, all Chrysler cars went front-wheel-drive starting in the 1990 model year and continued that way until our current century. The last holdout was the Dodge Diplomat (and its Plymouth Gran Fury and Chrysler Fifth Avenue siblings), and these cars were the most common police cruisers in America throughout most of the 1980s and well into the 1990s. You won't see many Diplomats today, but I found this high-luxe civilian Salon version in my local Denver self-service yard. This one was purchased new in Cheyenne, which is just up I-25 from Denver. A Diplomat was one of the automotive protagonists in the classic car-chase scene from the 1990 film, Short Time. Diplomats have figured heavily in many films over the years. I got my first driver's license in 1982, in a Navy town with ruthless Diplomat-equipped traffic-law enforcement, and so my right foot still twitches in the direction of a brake pedal when I see this grille. This one was full of Denver-centric ephemera from the early-to-middle 1990s, layered with the shredded paper and rodent poop that indicates long-term outdoor storage, so I'm guessing that the car's elderly owner stopped driving it 20 years ago and it sat until finally evicted by an angry landlord. These cars weren't known for being particularly quick in stock form. This one has the carbureted 318-cubic-inch V8 (yes, some cars still had carburetors as late as 1988), good for 140 horsepower. The Fate of the Furious music video shows how much Demons love donuts
Fri, Mar 3 2017The new Dodge Demon is leaking into everything related to The Fate of the Furious in the lead-up to both the car and the film's debut in just over a month. The latest teaser involves Demons doing donuts and burnouts in the Get Off music video, with copious amounts of both tire smoke and hip hop to accompany the tire-shredding shenanigans. It also gives us a look at some of the film's other cars. Get Off is a song by Travis Scott, Quavo, and Lil Uzi that's featured on The Fate of the Furious soundtrack, which is out now. The teaser for the music video features a pack of Dodge Challengers - both Demon and non-Demon spec - along with a line of non-SRT related products. From what we can see, the movie will have a Scion FR-S/Toyota 86, a highly modified C2 generation Chevrolet Corvette, and a Mercedes-AMG GT S. In typical over-the-top fashion, the final shot shows a submarine bursting through ice in pursuit of several cars, including a Subaru WRX. We can't see much else as the full music video hasn't been released, but expect a few more teasers once it does. The Fate of the Furious debuts Friday, April 14, just days after the Dodge Demon's debut at the New York Auto Show.
