selling a 2001 Dodge Dakota 4x4 Quad Cab, 4.7 liter V8, automatic, good tread left on the off road tires, spray on bedliner, 154k, I bought this a couple of months ago with a cracked block and replaced the motor with a used motor out of a 99 Grand Cherokee with 107k, the new motor runs good but after driving over ten miles a significant amount of coolant begins to blow out the overflow without the vehicle overheating, I fear the issue may be a head gasket problem, no water in the oil or white smoke out the exhaust but I think combustion gases are getting in the coolant, also the panel light fuse keeps blowing and the instrument panel lights won't work(that would probably be an easy fix,) the body is a liitle rough but solid with no areas rusted through, new front and rear differential seal, new rear pinion seal, new transmission pan, gasket and filters, most the seals in the newer motor have been replaced with new(except the head gasket :(, ) new water pump, new thermostat, new fan clutch, new power steering pump, KBB value in fair condition is $5700, I have put too much time and money into this vehicle and cannot afford to put any more into it.  My loss is your gain.  Even if you buy this and have a professional mechanic fix the heads you will still be under blue book value.

Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.

Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.

Dodge unveils Special Service Durango for government fleets

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

Straight off its refresh, the Dodge Durango is slipping back into its dress blues and getting back to work. The 2014 Dodge Durango Special Service Vehicle boasts all the refinements and improvements that the refreshed, civilian-spec model received, most notably a 15-percent improvement in fuel economy.
Designed for police and fire departments, and as Chrysler's answer to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility and Chevrolet Tahoe PPV in the growing service SUV market, the Durango boasts a 600-mile range, thanks to the addition of an eight-speed automatic, available on both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Equipped with the 360-horsepower Hemi, the Durango SSV can tow up to 7,400 pounds (the V6 is limited to 6,200 pounds).
Police and fire department Durangos get a few special features over the civilian models. The electric systems are ruggedized, with a heavy duty battery and a 220-amp alternator in place, while the engine's water pump and oil cooler are both stronger. The brakes are tougher, and a load-leveling suspension has been fitted, too.
